Thank you guys for taking the time to check out my video. I know a lot of creators on TH-cam aren't going to be as detailed about the shoes or related colorways. One thing I instantly noticed as I'm watching this video is how thick the leather is around the toe box on the original pair.. can't wait to see the rest of it!
Thank you Thank you Thank you for giving us a review that's nothing short of amazing... I knew when you posted the teaser clip we were in for a treat. The knowledge you have when it comes to this particular model is crazy. To see how you have the different sets through the years are mind blowing. Didn't want to miss any details so I waited until I got home to watch. Compared to the other models the L&F midsoles and upper did look sorta vintage. I hit on Hibbet and waiting patiently until Saturday morning. I will be rocking my 2015s haha... Thanks again for the detailed review...💯
I've been seeing you for a couple of years, I remember when I bought pairs like space jams, white cement, I was looking forward to these videos, I hope you're well and keep uploading this type of content!
Like you said I missed out on the 2015s and when the Jordan craze amplified a couple years after when they jumped up to 2k it was a wrap. Fast forward to last year I had a bid for 1.5k on stock x for a year but nobody ever took it so when I got my hands on there I figured this is more than enough for me. Maybe one day for the 2015.
So good to have you back! No rust at all… and of course great content!! Really hope to cop tomorrow morning. Trying on SNKRS and 2 raffles. Very little hope. Don’t know if I’ll pull the trigger on a resale pair or not…
Been waiting to watch this video! I endured so much madness to make sure I don't miss out like I did in 2013 and 2015. Now that its all over( Minus my second pair getting shipped to me) I can enjoy you're video without stressing lol
love the review, I was able to pick up 2 pairs of the lost and found chicagos. Back in highschool I wore the hell out of my 1.5 AJ1s they were SUPER slept on ‼I kept my pair and retired them now
Still watching the video but by far the best review I've seen on these. Luckily got these a little over retail at size 6M. Glad you mentioned the yellowed laces and midsole. Was thinking about the Vintage Infrared Air Max 90s that were yellowed - wish I bought those. Waiting for mine to come tomorrow and bought some orthopedic insoles. Hate how the 1s feel but the Chicago's and the Infrared 90s are what got me into the sneaker world 15+ years ago.
@@mjo23dan so happy with my pair. Stockx decided to send me my pair without the lid. So irritated by that especially with the extra fees and processing charges.
I think this gonna sky rocket after a year or so since everything are inspired by the OG chi 1, first time they release with these cool gimmicks so I'd say the demand on these will be massive, with that being said I need at least two pairs of these
They will never get a retro that 100% spot on to the 1985s 😁 but for what its worth the 2022 L&Fs is are a nice pair and most importantly more availible to the masses. Bravo JB. I slept on all the raffles as I thought maybe I could walk in and grab like I did with the Taxi's but that didnt work 😆 but resale is not too bad so I will be picking them em up
Glad to have you back! Awesome in-depth comparison as always. A side note on the laces: I’m not sure if it’s just my eyes playing tricks on me but I think the laces are a shade off from a pure white when compared to something like my fire red 3s. I do believe Nike tried to incorporate a bit of aging into them but I agree, they could’ve gone with a darker tone.
Marv I think the most important thing that’s never pointed out about the 1.5 is that’s the shoe that he scored 63 in against Boston on April 20, 1986 if I’m not mistaken.
I have wide feet and I heard overtime these get flattened? I do want to put maybe some comfy insoles like drscholls but I’m scared I won’t be able to fit in them no more lol
Man your comparison videos are seriously the best! Miss your uploads man! Would love to see a comparison of Viberemakelab Jordan 1 vs 1985 Jordan 1 vs Jordan 1 85 cut!
U got a lot of deadstock heat bro do u eventually end up selling them or do u let them crumble ? Honesty just asking because I have some deadstock retros that’s going up in age too so I kinda want an opinion
I haven't really contemplated that yet. I'm a collector at heart so I'm holding onto my pairs. Everyone has their own collective journey so if you are at that point of selling, definitely do so. Age is a major factor with sneakers. Especially ones with foam midsoles.
You sir, are a sneaker historian. Bravo, bravo, encore. The only thing you are missing are the white gloves like the keeper of the Stanley Cup. Lol. I had a good idea that this video would be dope and you did not disappoint. Thank you for your time, effort, knowledge and expertise. This video deserves a re-watch, no doubt. I know this might be an unpopular opinion. I prefer the 2022 release over the 2015 release. I do not own the 2015 release so there’s that. I think Nike will release this color way 2 more times. One like the 2015 release and then one with the true 85 cut like the Neutral Greys. Which is smart, because they can sell three different shoes with the same color way including the Lost and Found. I’ll be here whenever you drop a video. Quality over quantity. They are worth it. Later man.
Awsome review thanks for the comparison love the shoes!! I’m happy I got my pair 😊 on release date in my opinion nike should have throw in the Jordan hang tag 😢
You traded the other pair of the 2015 for the concord 11s. I remember you saying it in another video years ago. Not sure how/why I remembered that little.fact.
That’s a good sight for sore eyes out there bro! Very informative. Thanks for the Trivia’s.. I learned a lot. Now I need to have at least one pair of this lovely MDFKR’s. My desire to buy is so monumental but the budget is very stiff. The 2022 colorway right now is understandably affordable. 🔥🔥🔥
I have street fighter character feet lol. I’m a normal 9.5 with more of a 9/8.5 length foot. And the recent AJ1s are too narrow for me. Those high 85s would choke my feet out. I’m glad the lost and founds weren’t cut that narrow.
In my opinion, it's a hybrid of the two. The age factor dates back to the 85 with the cracked leather, the collars as well as the bigger swoosh. The 95 doesn't do that. I think they tried but it's still a long ways in similarity.
Incredible how close the toe box of the Neutral/Natural Grey High 85s is to the 1995 retro! I keep wondering if that was a compromise Jordan Brand had to make or if the resemblence to the 1995 is fully intentionaly. Cos you know, the 1985 version has the wider white section on the toe area.
Correct me if I’m wrong, wasn’t it you who threw out the idea to possibly start dropping Jordan 1s around the end of the year instead of 11s every year? I know they still have 11s this year but I think almost everyone will say this Jordan 1 is the big drop of the end of year and holiday season.
I did say that in my past videos. I’m not sure how long they carry this theme of 11s every holiday. I really wish they switch it up. I think this was a good test for them.
I recently seen somewhere, they are making a 85 High Jordan 1Chicago. Dropping 3 years from now, I was debating getting the Lost and founds. Or just waiting for the 85 highs.I chose to get those 🔥
I always has this question in mind, wonder if the value would go up or go down when people restore Air Jordan 1 (1985) as a lot of them were obviously worn out, not as nice as brand new ones. After restoration using current technologies, e.g. paint, clean, leather replacement, sole replacement etc, would the shoes still hold the original value (e.g. $20k)? note that the shoes were from 1985, the value was due to the age, if restorated, a lot of the parts would be replaced by the brand new parts, would the value go down?
