Nice intro, everybody is hyping up the QC issues as if they’re something new or it’s something thats going to stop them from shelling out that $210+ tax tomorrow morning. The sneaker community is impossible to please, buy the shoes, wear and enjoy them…literally nobody is looking at your feet with a microscope when you’re doing what they’re made for…WEAR.
Again this but i would be a lil peeved paying retail for B-garde defects. Gimme me a discount or somethin for the trouble shit 😂 most people upset cuz they cant pass authentication on 2nd market sites unless listed 😂
I feel you, but a shoe like this should’ve been done better, and if there’s a defect on my shoe, I’m not worried about if someone sees it; I’m worried about “me” seeing it every time I wear the shoe lol.

True, but a lot of people take a pass because it’s “what’s expected” out of Nike despite their continued abuse of inconsistent product. People can very well phone or email Nike to raise concerns about their products but not enough people are willing to do it. We pay for nostalgia. I think a piece of that $210+ should factor in on quality product.

I got EA for these and my pair was good. Elephant print was the bolder more defined print and they matched on both shoes. I also got nice tumbled leather on both shoes. Only quality issue I had was there was some glue marks on the letter “A” in AIR on the left shoe which I was able to get off. I also switched that plastic for a chain on the key tag. Totally satisfied with my pair.
I got mine from the SNKRS app and the print on my pair doesn’t match. It’s not too bad, but I was expecting a perfect pair. If it was done internationally, why did some receive shoes with no flaws and other didn’t. QC needs to step it up. This is a classic shoe and we deserve better.

your comment on the sizing crushed me i usually size down to size 8.5 which worked perfect on the cool grey and unite 3s, but on the fire red 3s i had to sell them the size.8.5 destroyed my feet,animal insticnt 3s also gave me that slip and slide feeling you were talking about when i went size 9 you should really be able to try them things on

I get lucky with my cops. My L&F 1s and these were perfect. What's funny to me is they made the midsole yellowed but it's the front part, the rubber part that yellows. The "yellowed" painted area on these won't further yellow in time. They'll just crack.
For me it’s an issue partly because of the price. I have to always hope that my left shoe is going to look like my right one
And when that’s not the case it makes me feel just a little weird about wearing them. To the average person (95% of people you come in contact with in public) who doesn’t really know about Jordan Brand QC they may think you’re wearing fake Js but you just spent 200 on them and know they’re legit. That’s what’s frustrating to me

I have a LNM pair from undefeated. One of pairs elephant print is way darker than the other but hey it doesn’t really matter to me just happy I got my pair.
Big fan here. So i actually got the lost and found 1s from the exclusive access, and i did a check for myself cuz it's for a co worker of mine. There was no glue stains, no stitching inconsistencies, no leather texture difference, i would say i had the best luck for quality control. So it's just good luck, and like you said it can also be the factory it was made from is likely to do better.

I wear crease beast in my shoes so with those in they should fit better If I can't get a shoe in my size I have to get bigger I throw the creasebeast protectors in and they snug up the fitting nicely

Got a size 12 pair and the fit like a 13, swapped with a fellow for a 11.5 and they fit perfect. 🤷♂️

I instantly sold mine. My pair was really horrible. I didn’t know I could ask for a small refund but didn’t get it directly from Nike so who knows. Im just tired of not only hunting down for a pair but even more trouble on getting a decent looking pair and the price just goes up as well
That pre aged yellow makes them look nasty, I can't do it, by the time wear them if I got them, they gonna look brown. They dropped the ball on this one, been waiting for these too. SMH

According to Weartesters he said that the original AJ3 didn't come with a metal chain tag, instead they came with the plastic wire on this pair. That's how crazy OG Nike decided to take this "reimagined" concept... respect for that 🙌🙌

Mine were made in the VW1 factory and they are almost perfect. Elephant print is very good but height from the elephant print in the toe boxes is different. Right pair is a little bit higher than the left one 👀
Mine came from VW1 fact😮and same! Damn near perfect! Elephant print thick and pronounced. One of the best pair I’ve seen. I’m thankful! Only thing is mine didn’t come with a size sticker on the insole .. did yours have the sticker? Either way enjoy your pair bro

According to people most retail pairs say LN3 but the ones shipping from Goat are VW1. What is the reason for this?

Despite all the quality control issues…people will STILL buy them. If it is really unacceptable to you, don’t spend your hard earned money on them. Oh, you just had to cop? Well isn’t that interesting. You deserve whatever product comes in the box…good or bad. Nike won’t get my money for this release unless I can try them on in store and see for myself before purchase. If I don’t get a pair the world won’t stop spinning. 🤷🙄
Yeah, but like I said in the video, if this is the only pair someone saved up their money for to get because they had been waiting for the retro, it definitely sucks. My suggestion is still to let Nike know and to voice your concerns instead of keeping it bottled up.

QC on mine was fine..Cement 3 is my favourite sneaker ever and this my first pair since 2003. I wish they didn’t come with the aged look especially cuz we haven’t had this release since 2013.. the aged look is a fad and I’d rather it look just like what someone buying a fresh pair in 1988
You and I talked about this a few days ago. My opinion on the plastic instead of chain on the hangtag was because that’s how they came in 1988, the no QC sticker, also they didn’t do those back then, maybe that’s their way of giving us the “reimagined throwback” versions of these. I have two pairs now and one matched and the other pair don’t match at all. But this is my all time favorite Jordan so I’ll take it! 🤷🏻♂️
Facts, the tag didn't double as a key chain. I wonder if Nike know this could go sideways with the elephant print 🤣. I'm glad I doubled up on the Katrinas. The reason I didn't get the UNC's was because the print looked dirty. It wasn't light gray.

The nitpicking about QC on these shoes is so exhausting that people rather complain about that then be happy they have them cause not everyone will get them.

I’m sticking with my 2013 88 retro pair they just look cleaner without that yellow already on it
As a wide footer I went up a half size don’t like snug feel . True size is 11 . Lately Jordan’s been running smaller . My playoff 12’s , cool greys both were 11 & foot was screaming

Isn’t the elephant print cut from a huge sheet of leather that is completely randomized? Or is that process different? Because I could see where some cuts have a “darker” print and then just next to it is a “lighter” print. Just like you mentioned, the original 88 pairs had variations too, right? Were they as big as this is or was it a small difference?
This might be the first Air Jordan 3 with variation on one colorway with different shades and textures of elephant print.

Got a shock drop pair and a pair from jd in store. Both pairs elephant print looks the same, both with little to no imperfections.
I got an LNM pair. Elephant print is pretty thick and uniform, but it is well put together with no major flaws.
Mine is from "VM1" factory in Vietnam. It has a thin elephant print, I love the pair. Glue stains are some of the issues but i dont mind.
Nike will continue downgrading the product while upping the price because people are still going to buy every pair … so why should Nike take any of y’all complaints serious when they know y’all still gonna buy the shoes ? When y’all stop buying the shoes Nike will listen plain and simple !

Wow they even did the vintage size sizing! Back in the day Nike and most sneakers were up half a size!! Now today a size 10 was a 9half in 88. Definitely cool. They also have a lot more room in the 2019 infrared 6s! I wear a size 10 but a 9half in 6s!
Maybe they paid that much attention to detail to recreat the print from back I. The day and the printing issues is that prepared thing too.... probably not tho nike just don't care there seeing these resell prices and are like f it they will buy it no matter what and if the resellers gonna buy it all out anyways and get there money let's get ours. i work at nike, yeah pairs are different. got me questing about quality control. we still to this day get reimagined 3s returned
after getting my 2nd pair had to return! bro i have both pairs, the lighter cement and the darker cement...the darker cement is my sz (unfortunately but will be worn) and the other sz is just a half sz bigger since these don't run absolutely true to sz...i'll be icing...both are truly spectacular pairs.

Just got 2 pairs in and my box and the small QC (3) and QC (2) sticker on the inside of the box on both of my instore raffle win pairs. My pair look straight. The elephant around the toe box are the same width, both toe box and shoe are pebbled all around, no major glue issues. And the overall shape on the toe looks great. Dates on my pair are from 5/24-9/14 and 6/22-10/7 from the Indonesia factory 2. Noticing the different indentation difference on the back heel elephant print. Noticable but not a deal breaker honestly for ME. I prefer the smaller lines in the elephant over the huge darkened ones. It looks and feels better and true to OG than the dark and deep elephant print be been gettin for years.
I also have an LN4 pair that I picked up Saturday. Elephant print is lighter and thinner particularly on the lateral side of the left shoe but unless you’re looking super close it’s basically identical in terms of shade and thickness. Interested to see what my snkrs pair looks like when it comes in.
Fire red 3s has better quality on them than these reimagines.

Mine is very worse. Really dissappointed. Left and right pair is completly different one has darker elephant print one is lighter. Even leather is different😢. Im quiting bro.. its really making me sad. You know how i save my money to buy this shoe😔😔

my elephant print on the toe box is shorter than most pairs but least the elephant looks like the OGs
3’s and 5’s happen to be the only ones from 1-13 that fit me big. Everything else is true to size

I don’t believe people expect perfection but it’s hard to ignore the inconsistencies in production. And it’s not just for this shoe, it’s across nearly all retro product. Have you seen the white AJ 12 AMM and the bleeding of the dye?
@@mjo23dan this particular iteration of the shoe has a vintage or worn aesthetic. Ever think that the inconsistencies were deliberate to give an aged or worn aesthetic? The shoe literally has a yellow midsole. they made the elephant prints different on both shoes to give it a worn look? Either way, it’s a great excuse to make yourself feel better whether it was purposeful or not, it fits the shoe.
But that’s not what the main concern is. You’re talking about design. This is about the inconsistencies with the production of product that’s not checked for quality control.

Got my pair from Shiekhs - LNM factory with lighter elephant print and the leather was on point. My 2nd pair from Footlocker had darker elephant print (LN4). My ‘01 black cements have one light and one dark print lol never noticed it til now.
Now whoever that goof is that said the mismatched elephant print was done on purpose just made that shit up out his whole ass💀😂😂😂😂😂 guving Nike and JB way too much credit for bad QC issues... I love my reimagined 1s and quiet as kept the best retro build so far were the Cardinals. I feel like those were done really well but are sitting everywhere 😂😂 so to me people dont care about quality cuz if they did they'd go pick up the Cardinal 7s. When i get my 3 pairs of Cement 3s in the next coming week im gonna inspect them. All 3 pairs will be from 3 different retailers. And im gonna see if the retailers atleast are inspecting the shoes before they sell em to customers instore cuz theyre supposed to. Im not returning shit, just give me a discount is all i ask. I plan on beating these cement 3s to the ground IDC 😂. People take shoes too seriously but i get it to a degree cuz these shoes are a whole bill for some. As consumers we shouldnt give Nike or Jordan Brand a break bcuz they dont give us a break. But QC issues are just common in any manufacturing field. It just comes with the territory and as consumers you have to expect it to some degree. Either ask for a discount, return em or rock em. Those are your choices.
The 7s don't sell because jb/nike never told the right marketing story. They desperate putting "nike air" on the back smh....i agree cardinal 7s were on point tho. The only reason the "new sheriff in town" 7s sold was because they were limited. $210+ tax on most jordans is still stinging people...which pushes them to wait for a discount or be more selective.

Yoooooo, OK, I get it now! Think about this, It’s supposed to be an old shoe... One of the shoes gets exposed from being open, which causes discoloration on one of the shoes..! One of the shoes print could’ve shrunk in that time period. I have 1 pair and 2 on the way. My first pair is flawless. Just got them today!

If they want to claim “OG” then fine, but what about “OG” pricing at $125?!?!? 😂. Anyway if people are THAT upset…RETURN YOUR PAIR. Speak up with your wallet. I think my last Jordan purchase was the Fire Red 4. I won’t spend my money if I feel the product isn’t worth it. Ya’ll keep complaining AND buying…why does Nike/JB have any reason to listen? They can’t hear over themselves laughing to the bank.

@mjo23dan yo it’s Rick from inside moves. I got a size 10 from LN4 factory as well. I have similar inconsistencies like left shoe having lighter shade and more shallow emboss elephant print versus right shoe having slightly darker shade and deeper emboss elephant print.
You need to adjust the white balance on your camera
I hit on the SNKRS app for the 3s. I hope my pair is good.
The last couple B grades I’ve seen at outlets were the carmine 6 for the pink soles and the lightning 4s (I didn’t see any issues)
The elephant print is designed like this, as if they were in a store window and were in the sun for a long time and it had damaged them, lightening the color of it. Midsole the same. Plastic tag like the oldest releases. Big regards from the coast of death

Quality has definitely been off lately and I noticed the QC on my Cardinal 7s. I doubled up on the 13 playoffs and my pair from SNKRS has way better quality than the pair I got from Footlocker so I’ve been rocking those. I’ve definitely been picking and choosing lately for that reason
