We, as fans of it(or TTRPGs in general) need to push it more! The lore Paizo has come up with is SO much better than anything that has come out of WotC in YEARS(and this is coming from someone who grew up playing D&D, though not the D&D of today)!
There is actually a sci-fi version of pf called Starfinder which occurs in the future Golarion solar system (where, ironically, Golarion had mysteriously disappeared) and far stars. Paizo will also release Starfinder 2e this year 🎉
Kudos for reuploading this with better audio. I know how much more time that takes, but it is much appreciated and speaks to your commitment to professionalism.
Wow! Welcome to the game that people will trash on because they don't want it to be good but honestly(and I'm a fan of D&D, at least older stuff) it really does just feel like more care is put into Pathfinder! I'm not usually one to play in published settings but Golarion lore is SO good, and continues to get more good material, that I just can't help but want to run/play games set there!
Im slowly plugging my way through this playlist in the recent dnd OGL fiasco. This is great stuff. This video in particular has been my favorite so far.
Yes! In depth lore videos are some of my favorite things to relax to; learning and chilling at the same time...wondrous, I know this is a bit comment wise, but I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Thank you for you time and effort!
I am using your videos as "lectures" to my game . I am playing SoT AP. . This video was a special lecture of one of the professor of the Magaambya. All my 6 players have to watch. Thank you again
Ah yes, Earth is indeed in the golarion universe. In fact I Ran a certain AP in 1st edition that had my players go there and confront a certain individual from our own history.
Hmm. Not actually sure how I feel about this. It's a very unique idea for a fantasy universe, to add in an interplanetary culture but that kind of turns it into borderline sci fi and that causes some complex problems. Well at least that explains the chainswords.
@@JacksonOwex Yeah I heard of it. That's not my concern. My concern is fantasy and medieval settings have to work harder to make sense when people have laser cannons. Like look at Star Ocean 2. The main character starts off with a laser pistol that just deletes the first enemies you fight. That got broken real fast.
@dagonofthedepths no fantasy setting with magical metals makes sense anyways It's like why haven't they invented steam power yet? They've had over 5k years
@@TheZenBullet Well high fantasy settings having a stagnation of technological growth make more sense to me. People tend to invent things that make life easier. Like if you can build a magic circle that can mass teleport people wherever they want to go, you don't need to ever invent cars or trains. Permeant light spells you don't need a light bulb. Even in a setting like Pathfinder in mass warfare, you don't really need guns because mages are pretty much howitzers as soon as they learn fireball. It's more of a scaling issue for me. Like you get the problem of fire ball nor working anymore vs a guy wearing void sealed power armor or a starship in orbit with a gun pointed down. But when I see a chain sword, I go to 40K and really a space marine running around Golarion is something I can't see anyone sopping quickly.
@@SirVertigo thank you! I was greatly interested in your videos and wanted to buy a book or some other source from where you gathered your info to make this video. And as for the 1st edition? Any books regarding the Pathfinder Universe?
@@nostromo_ the first edition inner sea world Guide is still very relevant with it setting the stage for most of the setting, but I'll check my 2e world Guide. The 2e World Guide just mentions the updates between the two, but I'll look and see if it Mentions the other planets!
I wish pathfinder got as much love as d&d. The Sci fi side of it makes it so unique

Well Pathfinder did outsell and outperform d&d 4e for the bulk of its life as well as part of 5e's first year

This single handley brought me from dnd into pathfinder
Wow, that's actually really cool to hear. It's an awesome system, and we're excited to have you join!

I'm glad to hear that! I love how even with its fantasy roots, pathfinder really embraced their outer planets.

Glad you enjoy it! I'm gearing up for a lot of content in the near future so hopefully I can keep the videos rolling out!

I am going to GM Pathfinder 2nd Edt next year and this videos are a tremendous help to get a grip on the lore. Thank you so much.
Great stuff! This is very helpful to orient new players to the setting
Your videos have been great in helping me DM P2e for the first time! Thanks!
Love the videos, my dude! I was wondering if you could cover Nethys?
Thank you for the reupload ! Much better now
Wow, that's, quite something.
Really enjoying this series. Good work!
Oh look, a discord!
And I figured out why I didn't notice any audio issues... my speaker is messed up. Everything sounds tinny anyway.
❤
Seems like any humanoids can breen in pathfinder
Golden bro
Excellent video, i love all this lore
Finally a pathfinder lore channel
Hmm... i think i'm facing Azlanti in my Starfinder game.
It's possible, they did give them more there!
Great info
Is it possible to have a campaign or adventure paths on one of the other planets in the Golarion solar system?
Aucturn 😱😱😱
Thank you for these videos
Where is that Apostae inner world image from I neeeds it
I believe that came from the distant worlds source book, but I can't tell you for sure until I get home this evening!

Alot of Golarion is semi Sci fi. There's an entire nation who's main draw is that a star ship crashed there. Check out numeria!
You do know there's STARfinder right?!

great video, great job
THANK YOU!!!
Very enjoyable. Thank you for making these.
Is there a Second edition's book regarding the PF's Solar System?
Not currently, but I think age of ashes goes to another planet? I'm not 100% sure on that though
