I visited here in 2006. My knees buckled when I was standing inside, in front of the memorial. I had such overwhelming awe and emotions that I could not fully take it all in. So I really appreciate this video. What a great President and makes me proud to be an American.
When I was 8 years old we took a vacation to Indiana and made a stop to visit the tomb and Lincoln's house. Even though I was young it made an impression on me. We also went to his birthplace in KY on our loop going back home to OK. Thanks for this visit that jogged this old lady's memory.
President Lincoln was my favorite President. For some odd reason I read every book or paper about his life. My brother does ancestry into our past, only to find out that Mary Todd Lincoln was our 6th cousin! What and honor to know. Thank you for sharing this vedio, my favorite one! God Bless
Thank you so much for this video Chris I've really enjoyed this history lesson Lincoln is my favorite president he opened the doors for so many people this is on my bucket list to visit
You did an amazing job telling this story. I am a big fan of history. I enjoy learning about history. That is why I enjoy your channel so much, thank you, for all the hard work that you put into your channel.
Rubbing the nose of Abe’s bust out front was always a tradition - which is why Abe’s nose is so shiny. Also, the tomb’s ceiling was redone 20+ years ago and $$$ was donated to replace it with the original palladium - it looks like silver but is not. I used to live in Springfield, which is inundated with school field trips every spring. People from all over the world visit Oak Ridge. Always very moving to stand in front of his tomb.
As a Chinese, I was ignorant of President Lincoln's real historical existence, as I had always believed that he was a fictional symbol like Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty. But this video has dispelled that clearly false notion of mine, so thank you good sir.
Great video thank you for sharing. I am originally from Illinois . There are so many great historical places involving President Lincoln a person could spend a lot of time learning his history
That’s really cool Chris. I understand the purpose of the tour but I’m of the opinion just let him RIP. His version of reconstruction was far more kind than his successor. I often wonder how that would’ve shaped our history. Anyway, thanks for having us àlong.😊
He lived to end Slavery and Died because he did, thank you 🙏🏻 Mr. President Lincoln, RIP 🪦 to the Best President Ever arguably rest in power Mr. Lincoln… 💔 and thank you thank you thank you for fighting to end slavery.
I was lucky enough to visit there several years ago. So very impressive. There are people currently pushing the narrative that he was born in Illinois not Kentucky. Don't ask me why. Just something else to annoy people 🙄 I hope you went to his home and the museum as well? ❤️
He's locked up in a Tomb forever cause he Not in Heaven. That's reserved for the people he had in slavery. Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

I loved that president as he had so much grief and turmoil and then murdered Lincoln should never have been murdered such a sad story.
Probably the best president we ever had, Rest in peace Abraham Lincoln
Excellent video! Did you hear I got demonetized for some silly reason. Save your money!
I saw that. I’m sorry to hear. I subscribed to your wife’s channel.

Hi. Amazing tomb . From poverty to president quite the impressive feat. Thanks for a very interesting story. Deborah 🇨🇦
His body was moved. Several times. Was hidden along with his wife. Would love to know the story.
There is a History Channel documentary called The Plot To Steal Lincoln's Body. You will enjoy it.
I want to visit this sacred place.
My favorite President. Was lucky enough to visit his tomb a few years ago. What a beautiful place. So peaceful and quiet

I grew up 60 miles from there and went there , to his home in town and to new Salem where he got his real start.

R.I.P Mr Abraham Lincoln 1809-1865.

This was a very interesting video
You used to be able to go up stairs outside but due to deterioration it's been closed off for years
Um grande homem, 🙏♥️🙏🌹🌿
Great video ❤️
Where is Mary Lincoln buried?
She is buried with him.
Across from him in the wall
Neat video buddy 👍 I guess he is buried under the big monument on the floor..
Love video

Every time I see Lincoln I see my uncle JL
I want to go back
You left out a lot of the history of Lincoln's Tomb !!!
Truly a great man R.I.P.💐💮🌹🌺🌷
You are only 45 minutes away from me 😊
Great video, however, just a small correction - President Lincoln was assassinated not passed away.
Hello to the Philippines
Why isnt it guarded?
Robert Todd Lincoln requested that the grave of his father be filled with concrete to deter future attempts of grave robbers from stealing his body.
I heard that Lincoln said if not setting the slaves free to preserve the union i will do it. Was he for the darker people or not?
Greatest 16 th presdent abrigam licoin
Did he die?
He didn’t pass away - he was murdered/assassinated!
It was buried in concrete not cement. There is a difference.
This is pretty bad.
