Lincoln grew up in poverty ,alcoholic father ,self educated ,didn't want to run in politics but did for the people as others convinced him, beginning of the war he also served as a temporary general on horse back , as a KY native myself he's a genuine hero to me

I met Dennis Farina on set of Manhunter back in 1986. I was Dino Delaurentiis head chef, so Dennis and I became good friends and travelled together to the Manhunter filming locations in Sanibel Island, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Washington DC, and in the Delaurentiis Studios in Wilmington, NC. After the wrapping of Manhunter, we kept in touch until his death..Great person RIP

I live a few blocks away from his home in Michigan by the Lake. He used to drive by and wave in his convertible. He was walking one day and stopped to talk to my husband and I. Real down to earth guy. I had no clue who he was the whole time we talked. 😆. He went on his way and my husband told me who he was. I wasn’t star struck and I think he appreciated how we just talked like neighbors. He was a nice guy. I seen him around town a lot and people would run to him and I really felt like it annoyed him. We live in a small town and I think he liked that about it. Not being noticed. His house seems closed up but maintained and it’s really a cute little home. Rest well Dennis.

My mom is a certified Genealogist and Archivist for a city in Colorado. I say this, because she's spent many years researching our family and discovered this information.
It's so neat to come across someone else who had a relative who guarded Lincoln's body/funeral train, also. We have no pictures of him doing this, (always searching, however) just an newspaper article naming him among other's.

I remember seeing Prince up close in concert, this was around 2005, perhaps? The arena had very strange acoustics, nothing he could help but he just hung with it and played even longer because of the appreciation he had for his fans and did some extra acoustic songs as well. The whole band played an extremely tight set. I felt even then I was in the presence of greatness and the night was extremely memorable. There was no greater performance I had seen live. Sure miss him!

I'm glad that Grant and Nan Wood are buried close by. Nan was always supportive of her brother's art career and knew ahead of time that he would make her look less than attractive in "American Gothic". Neither were prepared for how quickly the painting became famous. Nan received rude trolling letters from around the country, with one person telling her "Your face would turn milk sour". Grant felt so guilty that he went and painted a glamorous portrait of Nan as a chic modern woman. She didn't seem to mind, though. "Grant made a personality out of me", she later said. "I would've had a very drab life without it".

Arthur, Thank you for including my videos from Lincoln, NE (and my face!). I've waited so long to share those who are buried in Nebraska. Nebraska isn't necessarily one of those "destination" places that a lot of people think about, but all throughout the state there are many famous (and infamous) folk who rest here. I will continue to visit cemeteries and get footage of any that might be of interest to you and the viewers. :)

Thank you so much for showing Prince in this video. I had no idea where he was layed to rest and his monument was quite impressive. Like the man himself it is one of a kind. The tomb of Kurt Henning was also a welcome site. He was a favorite wrestler of my son who never missed a chance to watch him wrestle. I love how you include everyone, famous and not so famous in your videos, I had no idea Tenna Bandon even existed and now I feel so sorry that she lived in a time she could not be accepted to identify as a boy, these videos are all inclusive and very interesting. Great job to all who work so hard on them.

Excellent as always, Arthur. A couple of comments: Tiny Tim was married on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show in 1969. This event was viewed by an astounding 40 million people. "Tiptoe Thru' the Tulips with Me" was a top 40 hit (#17). Mars is not only the largest US confectioner, but also one of the largest privately held companies in the USA. It is still controlled by the Mars family.
