I remember hearing this as a small child, many years ago at a temple concert to raise funds for constructing a new shrine. Although it was a venu & more high pitched in tone, I can recall with clarity the tablas accompanying it, and the mantra that followed; Om Nama Shivaya. Good memories, those were.
I don't do drugs I don't need them. I have the music to inspire me, and this one is one of the bests, my mind flies to a place unknown for my consciousness
Hearing this is like receiving an answer to the heart's most profound prayer, which words cannot reach to ask aloud. Truly, a gift. Gorgeous, perfect, magical...
This is one of those moments when I fall short of words. I will come back some other time to comment how I felt, this time I'm thoughtless. Love and wishes, Nikhil..
Music is a universal language. Big thanks from Egypt. Can't believe that the majority of us just listening to western cultural music though there exist other genres of music like this that can take u to a happy and relaxed trip for mind, body and soul. Keep on sharing ur music. Thanks again
I absolutely love this music. the best authentic music I have ever heard in my life. So peaceful. good for studying and relaxing in this fast paced society I find myself in.
Such an amazing instrument. I can't really articulate what I feel, but if you just close your eyes and use your imagination , thiis music takes you places.
whats more beautiful is knowing that Krishna the god would walk through the forest just playing his flute like this, he must of really loved nature and music and it must of been a beautiful sight for any human
Hi, I was ignorant about indian music and musical instruments. I decided to learn guitar, started searching youtube and found few videos on music using veena and flute. They are so soulful and mesmerizing, I can spend a whole day, just listening to them. Now I want to learn veena or flute.
Oh my god, I randomly searched "bansuri" on TH-cam and the first result I get... is my teacher from when I was much younger... I had no idea he was so well known!
Beautiful. I have to say, I wouldn't mind hearing James Galway try his hand with the Bansuri. So many instruments in the world that are worthy to learn to play! If only there were more years in a life time.
I'd rate it at pretty difficult. My failed tyrst lasted a couple of days and I couldn't play Sa-Re-Ga-Ma in succession! But then this calls for a totally different level of passion and dedication.
Shivaranjini is such a beautiful raaga. Reminds me of Kishore Kumar's 'mere naina sawan bha do". The older All India Radio theme music was also based on this Raaga I believe.
40 people have no idea what good music truly is. I'm a white American and this music still takes me exactly where its' creator intended. I start and finish my day to this Raga.
You know i spend almost £14000 in U.K for my degree and i can't find any job. i just studied you know what i mean some one wrote book and i read and sat in exam and passed my exam but actually i have no skills. This man learned to play flute professionally and believe me, now i am ready to sit next to him and listen his flute all day. at least i am relaxed and there is no stress around me.
In the spirit of the great Panalal Ghosh - Master of the Classical Indian Flute - Most difficult to execute and done passionately and with flawless dynamics an intonation --- BRAVO!
There is a complete difference of the Hindustani Shivranjani and Carnatic Sivaranjani raga. In Hindustani they term it as Mishra Shivranjani due to frequent usage accidental notes. Rarely it is used in Carnatic. Details are mentioned below in Carnatic format with comparism to Hindustani: Misra Sivaranjani / Mishra Shivranjani: Asc: S R2 G2 R2 G3 P D2 S Desc: S D2 P G3 P G2 R2 S Sivaranjani / Shivranjani or Sankaranandapriya: Asc: S R2 G2 P D2 S Desc: S D2 P G2 R2 S Both janyam of Mela no-22 Karaharapriya.
Looks like similar to hindi song THehere hue paani mein kankar na maar sawari.... Wow... Awesome awesome raag.... jivan mein kitni shaanti hai ..... kitni shaanti hai ... shanti ke sagar mein duba diya... prem aur anand ki neher mein nilha diya.... dhanyawaad
Just clooosed eyes, loooong breath and put head phone with this divine music than feeling in heaven is no more a dream...... Thank you so much dear... keeeeep it up....
What I truly love about the different styles of Raga is how they all share elements of Oriental music, thus expressing Asia at it's best. the unity and cross cultural expression of traditional musicality, yikes i love it!
@mr252307 The instrument in the background is Veena - it's a string instrument, very similar to Sitar. And the drums is called "Tabla", which is a two piece percussion instrument played while sitting down.
