    The Cyrrilic alphabet was created in the Preslav literary school by Kliment of Ohrid, not in Thessaloniki. I think you confused it with the Glagolic alphabet that was made by Cyrril and Methodius in Thessaloniki.

      Ehh personally I do not think that Bulgaria really wanted to form a South Slavic Empire, Bulgaria instead wanted territories like north Macedonia, Tsargrad and some other, But the possibility exists if we instead had a Bulgarian man kill the Austro Hungarian leader it might work out, personally I believe it will still be impossible for Bulgaria to just try and form pan slavic empire, for example maybe we could had had an too ambitious Serbia declaring war on Bulgaria and Greece where eventually Serbia looses after Romania too joins on the Bulgarian side, it will eventually set foot for Bulgaria to gain some more territories which could most likely cause the idea for a pan slavic state to rise up even more

      @@Chefo_311 Well there are a few cases in who might take rule, first on is the German Prince Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, another possibility is of course the Romanian king but of course the interests of Romania and Bulgaria were different so that did not succeed, the only way this could actually happen is really just Serbian King taking rule in Bulgaria which like again not the same interests. The only one who would make sense to rule is the German Prince or Ferdinand I of Bulgaria which would make Yugoslavia formed by Bulgaria again impossible due to interests

So i think that to not upset the balance of power another time, and with the acquisition of galicia by russia, Germany should have the sudetenland, so they wont be mad for lossing alssas lorraine. And i think the area should be partitioned with austria, so that they dont get so weak.

    This is a stretch. Historically speaking the region of Yugoslavia has no major resources to support a full scale war, nor does this region have the population to withstand a full scale invasion on 3 fronts all from countries with greater resources, population, and military capacity. To add to this the Slavic people of this region historically could not come together and is y they’ve been in nearly constant war with each other. Not the best or most realistic outcome. They’d likely be steam rolled, occupied and broken up into separate nations. Then you just have normal WW1 situations after.

    • @rewriting-history

      I think it would be better for all Serbia woud give 2 communities whit Bulgarian majority to Bulgaria, Macedonia woud be like Montenegro and Serbia 2 countries/republics with same people a bit different dialect but same language (another example Austriaand Germany). I think also Macedonia would take and extend Serbian Cyrillic (they have done it but for soft c and d they created a distinct letters). Bulgaria would take the same letters (same language same alphabet) so it would not have ja jo ju like in Russian so more phonetic and easier to write. Macedonians would feel safe from both Serbian and Bulgarian pressure, since we know that they were not pressured in 2nd Yugoslavia

    • @just_hris
      @just_hris 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aurelije well I'm not entirely sure about that because before 1878 the Southern part of the Morava river was also called Bulgarian morava because it was with a predominantly Bulgarian population. I'd say that would be included in this Yugoslavia in order to keep the Bulgarians happy (I'd say I'd be a dual monarchy like Austria-Hungary with the same monarch but different governments but a united foreign policy). This would assure Bulgarian loyalty to the Serbs. Then in the Balkan wars the whole of Macedonia and Thrace till the Midiya-Enos line would be annexed into Bulgaria because of their predominant Bulgarian population. Everything else without Albania would join Serbia and I'd even say as in the video Montenegro would join this Yugoslav state as a part of Serbia (they were Serbian after all). Then with WW1 Croatia would probably join the Serbian part as well, but Slovenia would be a third state due to their different language.
      As you said this transformation from "ю" "я" to "jу" "jа" could occur, however, somewhere I remember reading that the Serbian language was intentionally changed to be closer to Croatian and Slovenian languages, which because of Austria-Hungary were changed to have the Latin alphabet, to be closer for a potential Yugoslav unification. Before the Serbian changes it included slavic letters like я, ю, ъ, ѫ, ѧ, ѣ and didn't use the Latin alphabet at all. These letters also existed in the Bulgarian language prior to their independence. If the leaders play their cards right and give autonomy to Serbs from Vojvodina, Bosnia and Croatia, Croats from Bosnia and Croatia and Slovenes they might be able to keep this larger Yugoslavia without ot collapsing. My point is they could federalise and have the borders follow ethnic lines between the slavs which can keep their languages and alphabets intact.

    • @nicklars4099
      @nicklars4099 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is true, but it was offered to Russia in our timeline to keep them in the war, without anyone takeing it from the ottomans, so my thought was simply: Would Yugoslavia give it up freely and would the other great powers go to war over it, as you said UK and France was more conserned about Russia not getting too powerfull and therefore kept the Ottomans alive, with the Ottomans gone they needed another counter balance against Russia Yugoslavia could fill that role, and Russia might accept since it was another slavic mostly Orthodox power, I don't think it's unrealistic. @@rewriting-historyAs a Serbian, I personally believe the Serbian Alphabet would be adopted across Serbo-Bulgaria because the modern Serbian Alphabet was perfected by Vuk Karadžić Zmaj as a way to simplify the Serbian Alphabet and remove a lot of unnecessary letters, symbols and expunge Russian influence from Serbian Academia brought by Russian Scholars, which only made it even harder to study an understand.
      The Alphabet was designed to be easy to learn, write and for everyone, it was meant to resemble the way common people talked, rather than the elite.
      So, an alphabet that is easy to learn and understand for an average person would be incredibly useful to culturally and linguistically similar, but still widely diverse inhabitants of Serbo-Bulgaria as the nation develops and Education becomes available to a larger number of people.
      Though, perhaps Vuk would work with Bulgarian Linguists and Scholars to make the new Alphabet truly Pan-South Slavic, rather than focusing just on Serbo-Croatian Language.

      Pretty sure each Major Ethnic group gets their own Country
      Would definitely like to see a balkanize video on a Horn of Africa Country/YugoSlavia style government
      We could see Horn of Africa stay unified post Italian Colonialism but end up becoming Socialist
      Basically becoming the richest African state post - colonialism And joining Tito in the non-Aligned
      They probably have a Amhara or somali dictator who comes from half muslim half Christian mixed background then eventually past the 1990s the state collapses into ethnic And religious violence
      And eventually 5 main states secede from the state and officially dissolve the Horn of African union
      -Afaria
      -Oromia
      -Somalia
      -Amharia
      -tigrania
      Each state goes their separate ways
