I played in HOI Yugoslavia with Axis, occupied the Bulgarians before they entered and after 42 left Axis and held the defense on the Danube until the allies came and sorted out the Germans easily 👌🏻 Realistic
I could imagine that the Austrian painter would order Yugoslavia to give Baranja, Northern Bačka (basically areas around Subotica) and Northern Banat to Hungary, while Yugoslavia would definitely occupy and keep Triest and Northern Albania up until the Drim river after the war. Also there's no chance it wouldn't collapse after, but the collapse would be similar to Czechoslovakia. Basically in this timeline Slovenia would be a lot bigger with Trieste and possibly even Istria. Croatia would lose Baranja and possibly areas west of Fiume, but would gain Western Herzegovina and areas around Brčko (basically following the borders of the banovina of Croatia), meanwhile Serbia would be a lot bigger basically having almost all of modern day Serbia, minus northern Vojvodina, but it'd also have Vardar, the Zeta banovina/Montenegro, eastern Bosnia as a part of the Drinska banovina and northern Albania.
You couldn' trust him. Furthermore, Hitler was an Austrain and he regarded Serbs with deep mistrust, mostly because of WW1. There is also a reason why only Serbia was under direct German occupation 1941-1944. Or why Serbian prisoners of war were taken to Germany, while Croats and Muslims were released. Or why Belgrade and towns in Serbia were bombed by Lufwaffe in April 1941, while towns in Croatia and Slovenia weren't.

I swear the internal conflicts in Yugoslavia could always have been prevented. There is a bigger difference in Bavarian and Schleswig-Holsten accent than in Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian...
I can also add to your point that not only of accent, but religion too. Bavaria as catholic, the east is non-religious and the far-north is protestant. Yet Yugoslavia had to collapse and now all the former countries want to join the EU, because they're poor and need money. Shame

After WWII, with Yugoslavia's budget empty, the communists stole the property of the people and the churches in order to sell it and fill the budget. In the early 1950s, Communist Yugoslavia became the largest cigarette smuggler and a rare country that sold children in an organized manner. Yugoslavia fell apart in the 1990s because of its failure to reject communism and its inability to draw new loans from the West, loans on which 20% of Yugoslavia's GDP depended
Actually idk if Germany would invade through Yugoslavia as they promised that Yugoslavia would not have to declare war on the Allies and didn’t even need to give military access. But Hitler isn’t really good at keeping promises so it probably doesnt matter.
My only issue here is with Hungary. They're outright required for the Iron Curtain in light of Czechoslovakia ceding the Carpathian Ruthenia region, there's no way Stalin just rolls over and accepts this explicit breach in his ring of meatshield vassals. Not in the long-term, anyway, and _especially_ not when a NATO-aligned AH2 happens.

man I agree with you on many points but Yugoslavia continuing a monarchy together with Albania Hungary doesn't make sense for one point and that point is called...JOSEP BROZ TITO man Tito with Yugoslavia fighting in Russia with few troops in the country probably his revolt would be more successful and with Yugoslavia having Albania and Greece, communism would have control of one hundred percent of Eastern Europe because remember, Tito freed Yugoslavia and Albania alone with few resources and with a destroyed Yugoslavia, now imagine with a population who hates the Nazis plus the Greeks and Albanians who had strong communist groups, so Greece and Albania would probably become Yugoslavian puppets and Stalin would probably do everything to bring Tito into the Warsaw Pact and maybe with Tito being very important we would have influenced reforms Due to Tito's policies in the Soviet Union, we would perhaps see a Soviet Union similar to China existing to this day
But Tito will not free Yugoslavia this time, so I don't think he would enjoy enough support. As for Austria-Hungary, basically the Austrian part would be destroyed and cannot function as an independent country. They cannot join Germany, so they will go for Hungary. As lso in case what you wrote is most likely, let me tell you that this is pretty much the ending we got in our timeline. Can you imagine the hate I would get if people watch this 15 minute video, just to see the historical ending?

Stalin would have probably blown up Moscow before German army entering it and then it would be Napoleon scenario 2.0. However, German army could have learnt a lesson there not to enter a city which is completely blown up, which would make them not destroy whole Stalingrad before entering it and then they would have entered Stalingrad and might have invaded the Caucasus.

man I agree with you on many points but Yugoslavia continuing a monarchy together with Albania Hungary doesn't make sense for one point and that point is called...JOSEP BROZ TITO man Tito with Yugoslavia fighting in Russia with few troops in the country probably his revolt would be more successful and with Yugoslavia having Albania and Greece, communism would have control of one hundred percent of Eastern Europe because remember, Tito freed Yugoslavia and Albania alone with few resources and with a destroyed Yugoslavia, now imagine with a population who hates the Nazis plus the Greeks and Albanians who had strong communist groups, so Greece and Albania would probably become Yugoslavian puppets and Stalin would probably do everything to bring Tito into the Warsaw Pact and maybe with Tito being very important we would have influenced reforms Due to Tito's policies in the Soviet Union, we would perhaps see a Soviet Union similar to China existing to this day
But Tito will not free Yugoslavia this time, so I don't think he would enjoy enough support. As for Austria-Hungary, basically the Austrian part would be destroyed and cannot function as an independent country. They cannot join Germany, so they will go for Hungary.
As lso in case what you wrote is most likely, let me tell you that this is pretty much the ending we got in our timeline. Can you imagine the hate I would get if people watch this 15 minute video, just to see the historical ending?

Yugoslavia didn't delayed the soviet attack, it was planed that late beacuse of the soviet soft soil.
Yugoslavia didn't delay it, but Greece did. Had Yugoslavia joined, Greece could have fallen earlier, which would result in earlier Barbarossa.
@@rewriting-history And Moscow could have fallen to the Germans on November 20th 1941. Stalin would have probably blown up Moscow before German army entering it and then it would be Napoleon scenario 2.0. However, German army could have learnt a lesson there not to enter a city which is completely blown up, which would make them not destroy whole Stalingrad before entering it and then they would have entered Stalingrad and might have invaded the Caucasus.

I'm sorry but I just fail to see why Austria would be interested in a Hungary dominated Austro-Hungary they struggled with for decades.
Because Austria can be devastated and improverished after the war. They would be banned from joining Germany, so this makes sense I think.
