Wearing suspenders with a tuxedo is essential. However, clip suspenders are not the proper choice. I’m suspecting that this tuxedo is a rental, since button on suspenders would require buttons to be sewn into the trousers.

Worthless. How do I put suspenders on by myself? One person
Really worthless I thought as well, while he was at the back he should have told us the proper placement of the yoke (or that cross member in the back) which I found out later should just be between the shoulder blades, so a touch higher than what the model showed.
To answer your question, what I do is to clip the back ones to the pants first, then put your pants on and simply grab one side of the suspender, pull it over your shoulder then clip on to the front, then repeat for the other side and adjust. Hope that helps brother.
