Also the ‘whip my balls’ scene was improv and the stunt double for CJ had to get as close as he could without actually hitting XD

Everything about the “Chain” sequence kills me. The drums of the sailors matching the song. Swede hiding in a barrel. Frenchie getting bodied on the beat. “You came back!” “Never left.😉” CINEMA!

Taika’s Maori and he’s from New Zealand, so you were both right :) The Maori people are the indigenous people of Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Loved this episode. Can’t believe we have confirmed season 2 for OFMD, Heartstopper and Young Royals, I’m so excited! (Also, I don’t pronounce the L, I say it like ah-mond)
As for the ship, this was always Stede's ship right from episode 1, but Blackbeard's ship only shows up briefly and they don't really touch on where it currently is, or the rest of Blackbeard's crew. Basically, this show acts more like a stage play, with characters popping in and out of a scene. Like Izzy getting to Jackie's on a row boat, or Jim traveling all over the place, or Calico Jack finding Stede's ship in the middle of nowhere. These things aren't really important to the story, so they are brushed over here.
the foot touch is the height of television
All of Jackie's husbands have her initials "SJ" branded on their cheeks. That's the thing you saw on the late Geraldo.

without recognising that the other person is, also, incredebly low on selfworth.
What I also love is: Stede and the crew (but Stede especially) are incredibly distressed, they could have easily dismissed Buttons and gone "oh fuck off it was just a bloody bird!"
But they didn't. they're not like that. feelings are valid, even if you don't understand some of them all of the time.

Me too. I say all-mund. But my grandparents say am-mund. My grandparents are from the south, if that has anything to do with it.
I do too. From Wisconsin (Midwest). Now I just took a survey about how I pronounce it, so apparently this is of some interest. I don't pronounce the L in salmon or calm, though.

It's never occurred to me that anyone would pronounce almond without the L! Apparently both forms are common. I'll have to keep my ears perked from now on: perhaps I just never noticed the difference.
