It absolutely is Con O'Neill singing. He is a Tony Award nominee & Olivier Award winner for Blood Brothers. His voice is absolutely beautiful. Izzy this season is incredible. Definitely the best character.
i actually love that when stede told ned to get on the plank, ned was visibly confused and none of them understood what was happening since the real stede bonnet invented walking the plank!
Literally! I was a con stan but not a fan of Izzy in the last season. This season he's one of my favourites (and tbh it only took the first three episodes, everything else just reinforced my love lol)
Ive said this before but ill say it again! I love how in the wee john and izzy scene the very modern party music is muffled as if its Actually playing on deck 😂
Seriously, the work they've put into Izzy this season has been so much fun to watch! Who know there was such heart in last season's curmudgeon? Can't wait for the finale reaction, Jess! Strong pirate look!
Nobody was ready for Izzy singing, and to then have him singing in FRENCH!? oh come on. He deserves all the fan support. Izzy suffers all the punishment brought on from Stede and Ed, takes the emotional lashing out, and stays true to those he loves. He even helps Stede and Ed once he got over his own jealousy (no small feat) and recognizes that they aren't a toxic codependent train wreck, but can actually become something real. Izzy is the Samwise Gamgee of Our Flag Means Death.
The suit isn't cursed; not one thing happened related to the suit. Roach is going to keep eating peanuts till he dies at this rate. (It would be great if Stede gets that suit back someday.) Ed missed a journey? Hell, he missed seeing Stede in that suit. That's the curse right there.
