Hi, The Toyota Corolla in best car in world. I recommend it always !
It can have the same problem if you dont change the oil on time or use a good oil. Rub finger on inside of exhaust pipe to see if it has oil on it. That trick may not always work of course and thats if car is used.
Thank you for this guideline, just experience yesterday this sound while i'm on my way (in buying Avenger's ticket =] ) one mechanic is trying to fix a toyota corolla that's almost 30 years and I heard the same engine knocking, specially when they tried to rev it more, the greater sounds I hear.

@stevemendness poor car care and maintenance not doing changing engine fluids and cleaning the engine and keeping up with car parts as well car parts only have a set amount of kms they are supposed to go before breaking unless you don't take proper care of your vehicle
This exactly how my 2011 Kia Sorento sounded right before the engine stopped. I had 190,000+ miles on it. Damage was already done.

Rod Bearing knocking that sound is the Rod tapping against the bottom of the spark plug engine (GONE) at this point he has to take off the whole top of the engine it sounds like one Rod but since just replace all for all for why the engine is apart Goodnight Good luck and God bless 🙌

It's a Rod it can be fix
Its the tire.. It needs air.. Put air then change wipers.. Noise will be gone.. Dont forget to change headlight fluid too.
John Botero you got it wrong he just needs to redline it for 5 minutes then the engine won’t make a single sound

When you sit behind the steering wheel you see in front of you an instrument panel( behind the steering wheel usually), with different gages. The speedometer, temperature. amount of gas etc. Most likely there is a tachometer also that shows how fast the engine is spinning. On that are numbers 1,2, 3 etc or 10, 20, 30 etc... Somewhere round 6 or 60 the colour changes to red, that area is a no no zone, unless the engine is modified...

sir, my 3c turbo diesel engine makes rattling sound for 3 dayd since i change the oil with 5w 40 full synthetic. i dont have the owners manual,. maybe i put the wrong oil,. it doesnt have a loud sound before
