I really like the contrast of how Komamura and Bambietta are treated by their comrades after the battle is over. Iba comforts Sajin and continues to support his leader. While Bambietta’s supposed friends either look at her with indifference or in Giselle’s case, kills her and then turns her into a tool to be used and abused. It really highlights the difference between the two and what kind of people and leaders they were, in a very telling manner.
Nah lol look how much stronger Sternritter are than captains. Komamura literally had to give up everything to even scrap on the level of Bambietta. And there are 26 Sternritter lmao. So yeah the techniques of the Quincy are more effective even if they are more brutal they produced the strongest force which dwarfs the gotei 13. Which is why the Quincy literally stomped the gotei, and utterly clowned them, then their leader blashpehemed, killed, snd replaced the shinigami god lmao
Also even with everything Komamura gave up he still just tied with Bambi lmao. Both their reaiatsu vanished and they both couldn't continue to fight. Actually Bambi recovered and was still a force for her side. Wheras Saijin can never fight again. So yeah lmao
@@ExtraVictory Bambi did not recover lmao You speak as if she just left the battle and healed on her own right. Gigi killed her and brought her back to life, that's not recovery lol. Tosen as well. Bleach is a buddhist story in many ways and in buddhism revenge is always going to backfire. It is succumbing to your worst urges and hurting others for your own sake, which leads to bad karma.
Personally i kinda hate the repetition. We’ve seen the consequence of revenge in Tosen, i don’t see why we need to see it again with Komamura, the very person who spoke against it with Tosen. When exploring themes, what writers tend to do is look at different perspectives of said themes, not outright repeat them like here. Komamura’s revenge just feels redundant to me, in the end only making Komamrua look weak and hypocritical.
@@unioneye1087redundant? You mean hypocritical? Even so, that’s fully recognized in the series. Komamura called himself out for not learning from his words with Tosen.
I genuinely didn't like Komamura's big wolf grandfather ever since. And now, it is animated, I came to hate big wolf grandpa. His lines in the manga were already creepy and sinister, but hearing his actual voice... it sounds so despicable and manipulative. (Props to the VA of grandpa wolf)
What did you think of TYBW episode 17, Heart of Wolf, and Komamura vs Bambietta? What's been your favourite episode of the cour so far? Let me know your thoughts!
They did Komamura justice that was beautiful. That shot of Dangai Joue looking at Yuha across the city was 10/10. The Vollstandig looks amazing and I'm so excited for Kensei to actually use his Bankai on screen
I thought it was satisfying seeing Komamura vs Bambietta in anime form exceptionally well. And Bambietta’s VA pulled it off very well. Seeing her beg and plead to Giselle to not kill her still to this day during my first run at the manga made me feel sorry for her. My favorite episode of this cour is seeing the Bambies as a whole in the first episode of cour 2.
Komamura's fate is not only parallel to Tousen's demise, but his declaration to kill Yuha before turning into a beast also mirrors Barragan's final act of rebellion against Aizen before vanishing completely.
I really like the fact that the whole Ichigo training here is in post credit. It marks a separation between the events of the Soul Society and Ichigo. He's in a completely different place, like the training scenes
I think Komamura didnt know his time limit and knew he had to take the risk by saving Shinji. Its always hard when the good guy gets a rough hand like that
Really is a shame how Nanao Ise robbed us of a great fight between Shunsui Kyōraku and Jugram Haschwalth in the story by use of her barrier. Especially since Shunsui's Bankai acts very similar to Jugram's Balance in that both parties are affected by its release. Heck even without his Bankai, Shunsui is known for being extremely unlucky and would have been fun to see how the Balance dealt with that factor. Could make for a good versus video one of these days.
I think it is also interesting that, not only does ichigo possess all of the significant racial spiritual pressures, he also has friendship connections between members of all races as well (His obvious human friendships and soul reaper friendships, but also his friendships with quincies through Uryu and the arrancars through Nelliel and, loosely, grimmjow). When Ichibei mentions how the pressure he is feeling is what he wants to protect, I believe the only reason he can withstand that pressure is because he genuinely wants to truly protect all races and realms of the world, which allow him to reflect what I would assume the soul king also wanted as well.
Komamura's grandfather always gave off an aura of malice, to me. Really seems to be emphasized in the anime, here. The young seem die to keep the old strong...
This adaptation is amazing, but I was disappointed by Cang and BG9's conclusions. The set up for 2 epic and narrative driven 3rd round fights was right there, and they squandered it. Seeing the Vollstandig of those 2, having them narrowly lose, and then having them be executed would have been much better. Hell, I would have been satisfied just seeing their wings, but we saw the Bambi's instead lol.
What are the chances that Senjumaru is the one that created the path for "Irazusando" and Ichibe named it "Irazusando"? When we first see Ichigo go into the path, we see his surrounding unravel in a similar way to Senjumaru's technique when she faces the Schutzstaffel and when she creates the stairs for Ichigo. Then we see Ichibe reciting the poem where he gives us it's name of "Irazusando", possibly giving the path the power to test Ichigo . When Ichigo finally reaches the end of the path, we see that Senjumaru is there. I don't know it can seem like a stretch but if it holds any validity, it would really give us a better look at Senjumaru and her abilities.
I kinda love the philosophy they're going for if that's the case, but the whole CGI bankai works for me too, it's like it captures a sense of the wrongness like it shouldn't be without armour, and like it is from a whole different dimension invading that one.
Sajin's sacrifice is akin to the same one Tousen made in meeting Aizen in the aftermath of the murder of Kakyo and subsequent beating at the hands of Tokinada's thugs after her funeral. Revenge, it just ruins. The only silver lining to this is that Sajin is now living quietly on mountain, officially KIA.
I mean if they don't assign him as KIA the omnitsu corps might still consider imprisoning him. Since nobody really retires as a Shinigami, unless you want to end up being imprisoned for leaving that is.
@@Snzn_7 True. But if such a thing would happen there will be those who would stand up on his behalf. And based on the sheer level of reforms Shunsui and Nayura have initiated that authoritarianism may be diminished now, if slightly.
In a way I think that Komamura wanted revenge but in the end chose to protect his friends/comrades so while he wanted revenge he gave up on it for his friends which is a way of sticking it to his gpa
Honestly Bambi could had probably wiped out tons of shinigami with her abilities just standing in the middle and launch transforming bombs until someone with great speed take her out. So sanji prioritizing her make sense
I see The Way of Kings on the bookshelf behind you. I'm sure you enjoyed slipping in that part about the journey being as important as the destination. Nice reference!
I'm loving those post credit scenes. Like come on man, they're tiny yet beautiful and significant lore / touch ups that add so much character (to Ichigo [changes how we view him really as he didn't know this info in the source, to Ichibei and of course the Soul King) Ideally, id continue Ichigos post credit scene progress until his arrival and I'd open the episode with it. The longer they can postpone it, the better. Ichigos return in episode 5 or 6 of the first cour was sensational so I'm expecting a bigger reaction when HIMchigo returns.
While Komamura's fall was extra tragic this time, I gotta say, Bambi's voice acting this episode really made me wish we got a basic backstory for her before Giselle did the thing. Zombie Bambietta just isn't the same. Heck, all the Stërnritter need one Espada-length flashback each. Also, speaking of the execution of Cang Du and BG9, I think the anime made Ywach's decision slightly more understandable from a sane commander's perspective. Vollständig seems to have saved Cang and BG9 from near death, but it didn't actually recover their stamina, and they were definitely incapacitated. Yeah, they could probably still fight eventually, but only Ywach had to bail them out. Of course, it's still bs, but a bit more understandable nonsense. That, and Ywach is not a sane commander, and his decisions are based on entirely different priorities. Speaking of extra Ywach scenes, loced those extra scenes of Uryuu and Ywach seeing Dangai Joue in the distance and Ywach's littlr smirk as Komamura stumbled. Makes me wonder if he knew a bit about what Komamura had done to himself. Also, Uryuu being Ywach's gofer/errand boy in the Second Invasion is honestly genius because it shows that Ywach is still testing Uryuu for his loyalty.
Maybe he did know, as he probably would be aware of the beast clan. I wonder if he was smiling because he knew Komamura gave himself up to no avail, or because Komamura's grandfather lives off the sacrifices of the beast clan in the same way that Yhwach himself does.
As for why they kill Bambi to use her as a puppet--that much felt really clear. They all can't stand her. They ditched her for the fight because she's a sociopath that would just kill all of them by blowing up the whole area. Bambietta is a liability and, moreover, given how ruthless the Ritter are, her loss to Komamura was already seen as a death sentence.
Suddenly the red sky that so many ppl were complaining about makes perfect sense, it makes for the perfect compositing of these cgi and particle effects. Shoutout to the Bleach team for COOKING for us with such heat and passion.
Something I was reminded of rewatching this in the anime, Komamura's grandfather has similar conceit to Yhwach with respect to a dark corruption of fatherhood
I was really disappointed we didn’t get to see Cang Du and BG9’s Voll Stern Dich. But I love that the holy forms are different and look great. Komamura and his Bankai looked awesome. I really feel like the cgi has been done pretty well so far in TYBW. I love that we finally got to hear Soundscape to Ardor. That track hits so hard.
I can’t wait til we hear treachery for the first time in the new arc. I wonder when they will finally use it. I imagine they’ll use invasion when ywach invades the palace
Man I have no complaints expect those two not showing their vollstandig and maybe a round two for each of them when they do activate them but I guess it wasn’t meant to be
32:32 Giselle ""tried"" and really wanted to turn Candice into a zombie. In 584, Candice order Giselle to heal her, Giselle had sparkling eyes and drool in its face, but Candice shouted at her, said "not to be so happy," and to heal her without using blood. Then Giselle said that she couldn't turned Candice into a zombie unless she was dead, so she wanted to turn her into a zombie even if she just lost an arm.
I really wish they just had Cang and BG just join in the fight against Komamura instead of just being executed. Just have the go all out against him just to get stomped, showcasing Komas power here making it that much more impressive. Giving him a better send off as he had more keeping him from challenging Ywach
I didn’t expect the adaptation of this fight to be one of my favorites .. but it surpassed my expectations! The tone & atmosphere of this fight is so bleak! the music is dark, the BANKAI is scary.. it’s so perfect! And the weight of seeing Komamura not make it to the castle as he transforms is truly heart breaking. WELL DONE KUBO 👏🏾… WELL DONE!
31:09 It has more to do with that Cang du and BG9 lost their battles with their bankai (had they killed them off in time they would have kept it). Its supposed to be an ironclad rule where if they don't prove their worthiness they get consumed by Ywhach which is why he wants the strongest ones to join him. This is where Robert accutrone realize later in the manga that they have basically become canonfodder for Ywhach since they were left behind. Toshiro wasn't necessarily defeated, he went unconscious to then be picked up by Gieselle around the time before Bambietta fought Shinji. I wonder if the anime is gonna expand on the manga where all the bodies are being hidden as its all pushed in the background XD Lets hope that BG9 gets an alternative faith considering how the manga never confirmed he got executed and maybe his schrift has a play in it.
I really loved how the Bankai was rendered. There’s something so subtly twisted about it that I can’t help but get the creeps when I watch it move. Regarding its movement, I think the “sluggish” effect is due to its 3D rendering and how practical speed and physics are presented. The speed at which that immense amount of mass is being moved across great distances and engaged in combat may look slow, when in reality it’s moving unbelievably quick for its stature.
I can only assume they omitted the scene of Rukia and Renji talking to make it a bit more hidden who these two dropping down are. Of course if you consider who got taken up you can guess pretty easily, but still.
The way I like to think about Kang du and bg9 is they weren't being killed for losing: they were being killed because they disobeyed Ywach. His main order was to kill them immediately with their own bankai, but every sternritter that stole one and faced that shinigami decided to taunt them and lost because of it. As for Bambi, I think the rest of the group simply got to her before uryu got to her since they were clearly watching to see how her fight played out and didn't really like her
Ywach needed to their Reiatsu. The manga already explained that but a lot of people seems to forget. Basically Ywach is absorbing all the Reiastu of those that have died in the war to power himself up in preparation to fighting Ichibe. Give Ywach one reason to kill one a Sternritter and he will gladly execute them off since it's is more power for him to absorb. 😮💨.
If that was the only reason, he could've just waited for them to die on their own since their reiatsu would've just returned to him then anyways or until he used the Auswählen to steal it if they somehow survived that long. Or was there something I missed or am forgetting that would mean he couldn't have done that?
20:40 i think this can be fixed if the jump shot happens in the pause kumamora takes in his line. (Before i stepped into this battle - jump shot - i had already left may life behind). Yup, this sounds right.
I cried so hard while Sajin was turning into a full animal. The fact that he was willing to sacrifice everything to avenge Yamamoto was such a beautiful yet tragic sight to witness. Such a loyal captain. What an amazing and heart moving way to end a character’s arc.
I need Urahara to come up with some deus ex machina (yet again) to get shinigami Komamura back. Or perhaps some spiel on how the curse never really took effect as Komamura chose to protect his friends over exacting revenge. I really liked his character from the start and seeing a human version with that new bankai would've really invigorated his character in a future arc.
Look at how just one old ost bringed us back memories from old Bleach, we need more of the original ost even if most of the new ones are good. These old ost are part of Bleach we cannot forgot them in this arc
i liked how they made the elder wolf seem more sinister in the episode (maybe im forgetting the chapter but yeh). Really added to the tragedy of komamuras "death"
I completely forgot about sternritter in memoriam. I am so happy to see it again. Also this was a great review and im looking forward to the ichigo video.
After this episode, I'm not too upset that Shinji explained away about his zanpakuto, I'm upset that Shinji didn't do anything but stand once Bambietta got her Vollstangid. Seriously, he should've taken some precautions. Other than that, I don't have major complaints about the episode.
See, I do not understand how how Bambi survived the explosion. Her body should have been blown to pieces already. "Piece of you here, piece of you wayyyyy over there Staining the wall"
Maybe grandpa is living because he wants revenge on someone and hasn’t had the chance to. Maybe we have seen them maybe we haven’t but the way he lives off the vengeance of others sounds like he is literally living off of it and needs to replenish every once in a while.
Not that this is relevant to the episodes plot but I thought this was worth mentioning. I always thought Komamura received his curse sometime through his life but the young imagery of him seems to imply he was born with the curse. I really wish Kubo elaborated on that and by extension the Wolf clan.
27:45 so I’m wondering how Orihime’s powers would interact with Komamura? Would she be able to revert him to an earlier state before he removed his heart? I mean she dose have a power that lets her brake all the rule.
Two things about this episode that i think was done on purpose: 1. Komamura remembering Tosen's death and specifically the scene where he told him (foreshadowed) that if Tosen dies he will be left with a hole in place of his heart. I saw that scene at a recent rewatch and couldn't get it out of my mind since. 2.The Soul King's power affecting Ichigo might be related to Ichigo killing the Soul King later and might be the Soul King's will taking him over because of this training specifically. That's just my opinion but I guess we'll see eventually.
@MrTommo2304 - I felt (again, as solely an anime-viewer) that the appearance similarities of Komamura's Grandfather and Genryusai Yamamoto are uncanny.
For me, Yhwach always needs souls returning to him to sustain himself. That's why he used and killed the Arrancars. As the war progresses, he keeps killing some to remain powerful. As they fight and become stronger, he does too. In fact, in the end, he ends up using the selection to obtain even greater power. For him, everyone who touched his soul only served to make him closer to a god. So Cang Du and BG9 are no exceptions, he had to take some down, he just chose the ones that were closer to death.
@@nashs.4206 It should be bad for most Quinces but I'm not sure how that affects him. He even absorbs Ichigo's power in the end. Maybe he can absorb their reish after they're dead. I think this poison stuff should have been better explained. Because it didn't kill Kilge, so maybe it hurts or harms them a little bit not to the point of killing. They also seem to be different than live human Quinces like Masaki and Uryu. Maybe its worse on a live body, I don't know. Or maybe my theory doesn't apply for that Arrankars, only for Quincies.
Also originally in the manga it is stated cang du and bg9 did die in their battles against soifon and toshiro. Jugram says this. They only came back cuz yhwach accidentally revived them by awakening all the sternritters volstandings. So basically yeah yhwach did want the souls he accidentally gave to cang du and bg9 back.
something to keep in mind for this fight in particular, sajin vs bambietta, is that she might not be one of the strongest sternritter, but her schrift is absolutely lethal for the bulk of the army, the foot soldiers. komamura taking her down doesnt really change the outcome of the war that much in the grand scheme of things, but in universe it does save hundreds of lives, if not more.
Maybe the more hears they consume, the more they can revert back to their normal beast form. That gives the incentive for one to push their clan mates into sacrificing their hearts.
Tommo, I believe that unless it’s rearranged (I could see it being shown in episode 19), they might actually cut out the “God Like You” chapter. However, I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing just yet. For one, it does kind of come out of nowhere, and the fact Yhwach’s past was even teased is proof we at least SHOULD be getting more later. What I think they might do, which I’d find way better, is to give Yhwach a flashback during his fight with Ichibei. His very own Shonen “flashback before power-up” moment right before activating the Almighty. I think that’d be absolutely perfect.
@@bepo1702 yeah. And given that the final episode of the cour will be longer (according to leaks, which might not be true), that’s a prime time for new content.
@@bepo1702 if the leaks are true, it will be at least around 40-45 minutes (leaks specifically say it’s going to be an hour, which PROBABLY is in regards to its time slot when it airs, which includes commercials, so the episode itself won’t be as long. I’d love to be wrong about that, though).
i think it would've been cool if we saw komamura's bankai throw its sword at yhwach as a final way to try and take out yhwach but the sword disappears before it reaches him
What's also interesting is Kubo seemed to always intend for Ichigo's reiatsu to be black and white while in his bankai as well So keeping that in mind with this new scene with his training it has me intrigued
Sajin is one of my favourite captains ever since his fight with Tosen. I feel sorry for him for what he has been through and being tricked by the elder to give up his heart
Iba already saw Komamura's Jinka form since he was with Komamura when he headed to the Cave and assumable waited there until Komamura got out (already in jinka mode) then they headed back together to Sereitei. He mostly like is also within the Bambi battlefield since basically hoe can he conveniently appear right after Sakin goes Down.
Also Bambi's ability is a hazard even to those on her side, cause you don't want coming in contact with her Reishii in her Volstandig form. That is probably why they did not try to help with the fight.
I have a pet theory with respect to ichigo and the almighty. It would go a long way to explaining why ichibe gets revived by ichigo calling his name (i know cfyow explains it, but i doubt we'll get an adaptation). This would also make yhwach taking ichigo's quincy powers carry more weight, as he's also ripping the almighty out of him.
The thing you said about Giselle possibly not needing to fully 100% zombifie bambi is interesting. But i think the reason why she got completely zombiefied and not just healed like Giselle did for candice arm, is since bambi still failed they know bambi will be executed by jugram and yhwach. Simply healing bambi wouldn't stop bambi's execution from happening. And later we already find out the quincy girls are mostly rebels anyway when they try to fight yhwach himself for betraying them. So in a sort of twisted way Giselle knew the only for bambi to stay as friends with them was to completely zombifie her.
I hope that, at the end of the series, we get a scene of Komamura still lingering in the squad barracks with captain Iba still referring to him as "Captain". edit: As far as the bits with Cang Du and BG9, I'm hoping there'll be an added bit about Yhwach explaining to Uryu about how his power works, with maybe showing him glowing or something as they're executed implying their schrifts flowing back into him.
I loved this episode. I love the way they adapted these chapters. Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō Dangai Jōe looked so fucking awesome!!! I love they way they did Komamura’s transformation into full beast. Reminded me a little of American Werewolf in London. My only concern is that this episode makes me think that we won’t find out what BG9’s Schrift is. Unless they say it as he and Cang Du are being executed, the same way you say someone’s full name as they’re being executed.
next week will probably feature the execution, a bit of extension to mask vs rose and kensei so their bankais and maybe shikais get a spotlight, ichigo getting new outfit from shutara and learning ruki and renji left, possibly some other random action in the background, it will end off with renji blocking mask's blast from killing rose. I think they'll save the scenes of rukia and renji for the episode after the next one so they can keep it a mystery on what those 2 lights and have shutara's scene that was cut off from the 1st part.
man i really hope they change the fight between Mask De Masculine and Rose! maybe by having Mask realize roses powers and giving us the information via an inner monologue instead of rose just explaining it.
I find it weird that they said BG9 was only 45% repaired. If we are to assume 100% is his full body he should literally be in half. Maybe due to him being a robot he keeps trying to fix himself and “erroring/glitching out” and falls back apart and tries to rebuild again. (Highly doubt it but that’s what I’m going to tell myself to be satisfied with his injury being on the wrong side 😂) Maybe we will get a more fleshed out execution scene next week explaining why they’d re being executed despite not being dead and still capable of fighting.
@@ericksandoval8276 I could see that but with how large of a hole missing with him I would still think it that’s “45%” of the damage then 100% would have been much larger
If you read the manga, you should already know Ywach at this point is taking all the fallen reiatsu to get as much power boost as possible before he goes up the soul's palace. Like give Ywach the slightest reason for Ywach to execute a sternritter and he will take advantage of that. Like a lot of manga readers seems to forget that some reason. Probably because it was explained way later after the execution?
I do agree I’d rather see a 2D model however the CGI was really well handled as compared to something like AoT. The CGI also shows so much detail and shadowing and makes the bankai honestly feel evil and devilish which embraces that out of placeness
Watching Komamura realize the error of his ways and go back to protect his allies, only to still have to pay the price for vengeance was hard to watch. Also it's really strange, but there seemed to be a theme of the old using the young here. Ichibei's smile after Ichigo finished his training didn't feel heroic, or confident in Ichigo's victory to me. It felt really malicious when he smiled like that. Add in the fact that Komamura's own grandfather is sustaining himself with Komamura's suffering and it really feels something adding up there. Heck, you could even throw in Yhwach in there as it's his campaign more than the Quincy's.

When Ichibei mentions how the pressure he is feeling is what he wants to protect, I believe the only reason he can withstand that pressure is because he genuinely wants to truly protect all races and realms of the world, which allow him to reflect what I would assume the soul king also wanted as well.
the voice acting when komamura activated bankai was absolutely spot on. great moment.
Komamura's grandfather always gave off an aura of malice, to me. Really seems to be emphasized in the anime, here. The young seem die to keep the old strong...
Honestly if grand dog didnt teach the technique to sajin his weak ass would have died anyways.
"The young seem to die to keep the old strong" hmm, sounds like the old crones running the US government currently.
I loved it, Komamura's arc was sad but he went out still caring for his comrades, but i hope his Grandfather get the worse stomach ache ever.
I love that the anime adaption has been absolutely amazing and that the kubo is expanding on this arc
I’m a simple man, i see MrTommo post and i like
Sajin's sacrifice is akin to the same one Tousen made in meeting Aizen in the aftermath of the murder of Kakyo and subsequent beating at the hands of Tokinada's thugs after her funeral.
Like come on man, they're tiny yet beautiful and significant lore / touch ups that add so much character (to Ichigo [changes how we view him really as he didn't know this info in the source, to Ichibei and of course the Soul King)
Ideally, id continue Ichigos post credit scene progress until his arrival and I'd open the episode with it.
It wasnt "extra tragic" he was a weak, hypocritical fool. Maybe old man yama took pity on him I mean look at who his lieutenant was.
They make it plenty clear they don't like her. I don't get why there is any confusion thier
6:03 the purple one might have been Giselle
*Vollstandig
@@mitchellulrich930 nah I had it right
Man I have no complaints expect those two not showing their vollstandig and maybe a round two for each of them when they do activate them but I guess it wasn’t meant to be
@@josephmerizalde381Maybe they'll still show it and them not being executed or a least fighting before that.
Sajin was a plotline that I wished was more explored. Human-animal hybrids
It makes me thing of yoruichi, cats and dogs. Is there something going on there?
That was explored on Rukia's novel but of course you and a lot of people don't care about novels.
@@Rizingfz08or maybe the manga and anime are way more accessible to most people? No need to be so judgmental
What I like from the anime and would be sad when it ends is when mask says “Hey James” for something so simple yet so satisfying to hear.
40:50 Could also simply be an Akira homage.
That said, I still think it's as you say: Excess and (apparently nearly) uncontainable reishi.
I wonder if the anime is gonna expand on the manga where all the bodies are being hidden as its all pushed in the background XD
Lets hope that BG9 gets an alternative faith considering how the manga never confirmed he got executed and maybe his schrift has a play in it.
@matthewnicholls3258 He might return in cour 4 too since there are people who doesn't get fights there too.
I gotta say Komamura's CGI Bankai was handled pretty good here.
Hand drawn is always better than cgi. Especially bad cgi.
@@For_the-Emperor it wasn't bad, actually
I keep hearing this, that it’s sad that he went down the path of revenge. But he ultimately didn’t, he chose to save his comrades instead.
Yeah that's honestly true, but it seems he was too far gone at that point.
This episode felt like it was only 5 minutes long , also bambietta is gonna get what she deserves, looking forward to those scenes.
I watch a lot of different peoples' reactions and they essentially all said the same thing! It didn't feel like 24 minutes
Looking forward to necrophiliac scenes with sexual undertones? You dudes are some weirdos😐
@@bondsmatthew I am sad for Bambi
Great review bro 😎 congratulations again on the marriage glad to have you and bleach back! 💪🏾
I can only assume they omitted the scene of Rukia and Renji talking to make it a bit more hidden who these two dropping down are.
Of course if you consider who got taken up you can guess pretty easily, but still.
The Golden Reishi enveloping them reminds me of that Adam Warlock meme. Because that will literally how they would look like when they were dropping.
He never did anything dude. He was a hypocrite until the very end. He was only useful this one time...that's it
I think this was my favorite battle in the entire arc. It was so badass and emotional
Shinji in Episode 16: 🔥
Shinji in Episode 17: 🤡
Shinji in episode 16: Shinji is cooking
Shinji in episode 17: Shinji got overcooked
Pfp fits lol
He got cooked without finishing his sentence lol
I’m just glad he wasn’t murdered, and turned into an irrelevant zombie
Shinji is the man we thought he was :football coach voice:
I need Urahara to come up with some deus ex machina (yet again) to get shinigami Komamura back. Or perhaps some spiel on how the curse never really took effect as Komamura chose to protect his friends over exacting revenge. I really liked his character from the start and seeing a human version with that new bankai would've really invigorated his character in a future arc.
Look at how just one old ost bringed us back memories from old Bleach, we need more of the original ost even if most of the new ones are good. These old ost are part of Bleach we cannot forgot them in this arc
At 25:50, guys play the actual soundscape to ardor ost while he's talking about it. It. Hits. Different. 😢
i liked how they made the elder wolf seem more sinister in the episode (maybe im forgetting the chapter but yeh).
She was in Volstandig. And her Blut vene should be at the most powerful in that form lol.
Her veins and inside should have been exploded due to her Schrift's ability, no? Without the vein how does the Blut activate?
@@Snzn_7since she was attacking she cant defend with blut vene since it's one or the other
Maybe grandpa is living because he wants revenge on someone and hasn’t had the chance to.
I really wish Kubo elaborated on that and by extension the Wolf clan.
best cgi i have ever seen in an anime give me goosebumps from how scary it is
27:45 so I’m wondering how Orihime’s powers would interact with Komamura? Would she be able to revert him to an earlier state before he removed his heart? I mean she dose have a power that lets her brake all the rule.
I look forward to your post credit analysis. Thanks for the video
Just got off work. Perfect time to upload thanks Tommo 🤜🏼
Two things about this episode that i think was done on purpose:
Research a little bit on like WWE wrestlers and their managers. I think James will be explained.
Specifically: Paul Bearer and The Undertaker.
Hitsugaya and komamura got beatiful epic, yet sad episodes❤❤❤
@MrTommo2304 - I felt (again, as solely an anime-viewer) that the appearance similarities of Komamura's Grandfather and Genryusai Yamamoto are uncanny.
Favorite episode of cour 2 so far imo. The animation and story was so good. Feel for sajin he finally got a w. but at the cost of everything
Definitely my favorite as well so far.
I’m a fan of Komamura and they handled this part of his story very well
For me, Yhwach always needs souls returning to him to sustain himself.
BUt Yhwach is a quincy and hollow/arrancar reiatsu is poisonous to quincy no?
The entire episode's restricted colour palette really helps combine CGI Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō with its surrounding.
I'll always wander what would if Sajin were to eat his grandfather's heart, would he return to a humanoid state?
Id assume he just gains sentience same as his grandfather. Thats probably how his Grand father got it
Maybe the more hears they consume, the more they can revert back to their normal beast form.
I absolutely love this
@@bepo1702 yeah. And given that the final episode of the cour will be longer (according to leaks, which might not be true), that’s a prime time for new content.
@@scottvgamer1163 Im praying it's extended, hopefully it crosses the 40 minute mark if that is the case
@@scottvgamer1163 I hope you are
i think it would've been cool if we saw komamura's bankai throw its sword at yhwach as a final way to try and take out yhwach but the sword disappears before it reaches him
What's also interesting is Kubo seemed to always intend for Ichigo's reiatsu to be black and white while in his bankai as well
So keeping that in mind with this new scene with his training it has me intrigued
Question though...if the Soul King despises Soul Reapers why did he give Ichibe and the others powers to protect him?
Might not of been voluntary on his part
Does the Elder represent Revenge incarnate ? Like sajin literally giving his heart up to revenge itself. Allowing revenge to keep living on ?
Id say no because he doesn't forsake revenge to save shinji but the elder still wins in the end.
Another fantastic video I just I knew the song that was playing when ichigo was absorbing the reiatsu
Komamura battle is the best I've seen so far..❤
Salute to Captain Komamura when I first start watching Bleach he always one of mine favorite Capt
Is there any info that hell arc will continue? (yamamoto in hell etc.)
Would it really be a MrTommo vid without a mention of Askin?
Best channel about Bleach!
Kang Du and BG9 are more useful dead than alive to Ywach, given his ability.
30:50 Also at the end of the day Yhwach still benefits from his Sternritter dying since he just takes all that power back for himself.
I never felt the shift of night time when reading so having mask fight in the same time as everyone make sense why they where alone
next week will probably feature the execution, a bit of extension to mask vs rose and kensei so their bankais and maybe shikais get a spotlight, ichigo getting new outfit from shutara and learning ruki and renji left, possibly some other random action in the background, it will end off with renji blocking mask's blast from killing rose.
Well considering they let Shinji explain his abilities like it would strengthen it. I don't think they'll change it.
14:55-15:02
How strong is Bambietta if Sajin wasn’t her opponent, Sanji only survived because of immortality.
You are so passionate I love your videos
I love ur vids man keep it man fr
My man can't find a win without turning into a dog 😢
At least he will be remembered.
It's probably a nitpick, but I'd prefer instead of "Soundscape to Ardor" - "Requiem for the lost ones" since Sajin is...the lost one.
Honestly? I think the CG made his bankai WAY too creepy and scary, I LOVED IT
I find it weird that they said BG9 was only 45% repaired. If we are to assume 100% is his full body he should literally be in half. Maybe due to him being a robot he keeps trying to fix himself and “erroring/glitching out” and falls back apart and tries to rebuild again. (Highly doubt it but that’s what I’m going to tell myself to be satisfied with his injury being on the wrong side 😂)
Maybe we will get a more fleshed out execution scene next week explaining why they’d re being executed despite not being dead and still capable of fighting.
What I got from BG9 was that 45% of the damage had been repaired not that less than half of his body had actually been left of him.
Seeing, how komamuras bankai is handled, makes me very happy for uraharas bankai.
