Great job Nick and the guys. My LBZ is at 283,000 on original turbo. I like how your tunes aren’t “smoky”. When mine fails I’m going to go with one of yours.

You should dyno it and post it

Great look inside the turbo. Could a cts3 show a good sweep but not in fact getting it? I suspect my unison ring of being stuck but shows 0-100 sweeps.

The only way the position sensor can see a full sweep without the unison ring sweeping would be if the control slot in the unison ring is hogged out (happens often on 6.0 Fords) or if the unison ring drive gear set pin has sheared (only possible on 04.5-'10). Short answer, yes - it's possible.

Does that LML still have the stock CP4? If it does, have you ran an aftermarket lift pump? I have a 2015 LML with 300,000 miles on it. Never had a lift pump stock seat before still runs great.

I bought this truck with a failed fuel system. We put a fresh set of injectors and CP4 in it along with a FASS lift pump. We install FASS lift pumps on most LML's that come through our shop. It's money well spent to help avoid catastrophic fuel system failure. Good fuel quality and zero air in the fuel system is key to keeping the CP4 alive.

Curious. Have you switched out the CP4? I have a 2015 LML with 185,000 miles. I run Stanadyne Lubricity improver with every tank of fuel as I understand the problem with the CP4 to be lack of lubrication from the 2007 fuel mandate. I do pull a fifth wheel and I've pulled gooseneck trailers across the country. Would something like the FASS lift pump help?

@@nickpriegnitz5895 So the Dealer says I should do a fuel system clean. I'm concerned that introducing any kind of solvent to the fuel system would compromise the CP4. Thoughts?
