  • Loaded propane tanker rollover recovery UNDER A BRIDGE - Far too many people think rollovers under bridges are impossible. If you're familiar with this channel, you already know it's not only possible but we do them semi-frequently. Low overhead powerlines, close quarters, single lane roads, over passes, etc. No job too tough for the dynamic rotator duo of Hulk and Big Flipper.
    I really wish I was present for this one, but the job was still expertly done by my father, Dave and Alex. Using recovery straps and raw power, they were able to upright and tow the tractor and tanker back to the customer's yard.
    Also keep forgetting to mention, but Pepe's Tow merchandise is back up on the site and stocked up! These items sell out every single time in record time so grab yours while you can here: pepestowla.com/shop

    Tanks like this are designed and built under Federal Regulations for strength and safety. It amazes me that no provision is engineered in advance for ease of lifting or positioning. It is an absolute certainty that at some time a pressure tank will end up on its side or over an embankment... Given the certainly of that, it is crazy to me that these tanks don't have an array of engineered lifting attachment points right from the point of build. this is a huge oversight of the agency in charge. Great job of getting this done in such a challenging situation.. Amazing teamwork, even more amazing problem solving in the field👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    • @tedgerstenslager2949
      @tedgerstenslager2949 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, at least 4 lifting eyes should be incorporated into the strongest points of the tank.

    • @morriewyatt6234
      @morriewyatt6234 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Whilst it sounds like a good idea, the lifting points could introduce points of weakness in the tank as it is a pressure vessel.
      And a roll over could conceivably land on a lifting point and punch a hole in the tank.

    Good morning Tom,
    Got to admit the 1st thing that registered in my mind when you pealed that cap off the well area was another "garage floor from hell"!! Remember that disaster a few months ago??
    Your artistic work on the cuts for the approach to the house was really nice. Good call. I say it all the time but your crew and you as well make a hard trade look easy. The true definition of a professional. Sad to see Elliott taking off. He seems like a good kid. If he would stay around he could be a group leader on a separate crew after you retire. Not cutting out Tom or Matt by any means, just adding a good worker. You still have many good years in you as well. Look forward to your new job. Could that much concrete overwhelm that house. It looked pretty small. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

    We where once called at to a tanker that was carrying poison, there where fire engines, ambulances and the police in attendance, we noticed the truck was from France and the (Hazcem) board signage said “poisson” fish.
