Good job Alex and Echo getting that boat lifted and, on the flatbed, and delivered to his house! That was a spider's web of lines you had to work under!
There's probably a dozen different ways to have done this but, it doesn't really matter because what Alex did worked and the customer is happy. At the end of the day, that is what matters. I've never seen a boat trailer self destruct like that. My only thought there is that the boat may have been too heavy for that trailer. Lots of little challenges all easily overcome. Good job Alex, Echo and Frank!! Stay safe out there!
The trailer was definitely too small. It makes me wonder how far they made it down before this happened. Lucky this wasn’t on a freeway or would’ve been so much worse. Looks like this dude cutting corners is going to cost him BIG TIME.
The trailer was branded the same as the boat, I wonder if Robalo is selling the wrong trailer for their boats, or if it was just a crappy day for the TIG welder when they made it.
This recovery gives a whole new meaning to the word fishing. 😂😂😂 To the boat owner, perhaps ur next boat trailer should be something stronger the aluminum. Like maybe steels?
Nice work guys. I LOL'd at the guy asking if you were dumping it. Right, I'm going to use this big, noisy, expensive truck with the company name plastered all over it in 3' tall letters to dump a boat in a residential neighborhood.
Great Job From You & Your Crew, & GOD BLESS THAT GUY & His Family & I Hope He Can Fix & or Get it All Fixed Back For As Little As POSSIBLE & Still Have A MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR & With His Family & Maybe People Well Help Whith That !!!!!
Do you want a mountain trout trip (half to 3/4 day trip) or the mean streets boats & hose trip (half day trip) your prices will be adjusted accordingly. Food and drinks are NOT included but you may bring your own NON alcoholic beverages.
Another great job well done Alex you do so awesome work and this job was very Easy keep up the wonderful work you do 💯❤️🌹Say hello to papi chulo JOE ❤️🎅🌹
Wrong trailer for that boat. Foam filled boats are heavier than they appear. But make them very safe at sea. They will not sink. They will burn. They will break into pieces, but they will not sink. The two greatest days of boat ownership is the Day you buy a boat, the next is the day you sell it.
A rotator and two rollbacks... that had to cost a few bucks. Good job working around all the cables getting the boat where it ended up. Those type trailers need regular inspection or they'll deconstruct themselves. I wonder if they will call you back to get it on the new trailer.
Was thinking the same thing. The cost of Pepe's bill, the cost to fix the damage to the boat and the cost of a new trailer, is it worth it. Probably didn't have insurance. OUCH!
I mean, the bill being what it is, I’m sure was pretty good size bill, but if/when they get everything repaired or ready to be put on a new trailer, the customer does know pepe’s is MORE than capable to do the job.
You guys did a hell of a job and had to do the job. But id be so mad at that noise that early in the morning. Id make that neighbor buy me a coffee or red bull. Haha good job
Nah. I'm a trucker in Ohio and live 3 blocks from a CSX triple mainline with Amtrak service. And one block from a firehouse. Next door to a buddas temple. I can sleep thru anything.
Hey Alex & Crew !! Great recovery with NO damage to the boat !!! Lots of questions as to what made the trailer break like that ??? Anyhows,, ""Enjoy "" the ""Holidays "" coming !! 👍👍👍👍👍
When I first saw the thing my 'arm chair quarterback' opinion was it came off the tow vehicle while turning then slid the trailer into the curb and the weight of the boat obliterated the trailer. The fact that at least two straps were still in play supports the theory. The trailer didn't appear rusted or poorly maintained, just 'crumpled.'
You guys are incredible. I am always impressed by what you do. This is with all do respect. You could have used one of the white bars that are up near your turret. That would give you two straight drops that would clear the canopy on the boat. It would also give you the ability to control the positioning of the boat on the truck bed as you set it down.
I just wonder, are those guys new, or just new to You to work with? OK this is first boat recovery I have ever seen on street, anyway. Maybe first to you also? I`m only 23 minutes of video, but looks good so far. But who i`m to say, just regular guy watching your fantastic work with your rotators.
Great job Pepe's. looks like the owner was using the wrong trailer for the boat. I think he must've borrowed it to move the boat. Entertaining though.🤣
Nice rescue! You have a shitload of electric cables in the poles above streets over there! Is that normal in the USA? I guess you are close to LA that is very big city. In my country that type of air cable network is practically non-existent. Some poles are quite high and it looks like the topmost cables might be much higher voltage than normal houdehold voltage?
Great recovery...but I'm highly surprised that you didn't use your spreader bar for your slings. That would have alleviated you using the boat's tow hook to wedge your strap under. That was a little 'iffy'!! It worked, but that was a very risky way to do the lift. You strap could have easily slipped over the hook and the bow of the boat would have come crashing down. All the boat's front weight was on that hook. Well, you got it home safely, and in the end that's all that matters. Nice job. can't believe that cop thought you were dumping it!!
You should have a couple of rail road ties for each side to make a cradle for the hull to site in and a few 2× 4s to tie them all together or even about six tires.
I’m from Michigan live in the lakes so I think I’m extremely qualified to say this. This guy must’ve got confused because that isnt how you put a boat in the water!
A million dollars worth of equipment and the neighbor calls the cops saying you are abandoning a boat on the street…. Maybe the neighbor knows the tree guy from Griffith park.
I owned a 72 mellow yellow bug when I was in California back in the mid-80’s 😊. Just loved the interior smell from that German leather. Kept overheating when driving from Camp Pendleton to the LA clubs 😕
I'm trying to judge the amount of time it took for you to complete the recovery. It seems you started well after dark (late night or early morning) but then worked into daylight or early morning. I'm surprised you didn't have neighbors screaming at you about the noise not letting them sleep, especially when the rotator was beeping as it moved. Great job. I love your videos and try to watch to the end and give a thumbs up so you get full credit from TH-cam.
You might have been able to pick the boat from the end using the primary and auxilliary lines parallel to the boom, except for clearing the overhead wires. That would allow you to clear the roof of the boat.
Hey guys sure enjoy your videos. Just wondering what you guys run for power and transmissions? I might have missed it before but thanks in advance. Great work.
at least someone who can afford a $200k boat will be able to cover the tow bill if insurance balks at it. A kid who just sent their $2000 Civic off a mountain is liable to just walk away and leave you with whatever you can get for the wreck at auction.
How did your dad get the idea of putting the 2005 Century 1060S rotator body on the 2022 PETERBILT 389 night cab tri-axle when he got rid of the 2001 PETERBILT 379?
Nice work boys. I reckon the customer should get his insurance $ for the trailer and sell the boat.. If it is that much trouble on land what's it gonna do on water..........? 😅
I ran a workshop close to a sea resort and we often got trailers in which had rusted wheel bearings or corroded frames but I know how that got damaged and it wasn't because of those two reasons. 😉😉😉😉
Boats do NOT just fall off of boat tailers. They only fall off when their clueless owners fail to use strong study cargo straps to hold the rear aft end of the vessel securely to the boat trailer. The winch cable alone on the bow of the boat is NOT a safe o secure way to town any size vessel. The vessel owner now has a $3,500 recovery bill, a destroyed boat tailer and a damaged vessel and lots of stress and aggravation all because he failed to but 2 good quality cargo straps for under $100 to properly lashing down and secure his vessel to his tailer.
Maybe you might check the adjustment on the clutch brake, sounds like it’s out of adjustment, or maybe you are not pushing the clutch all the way to the floor, anyway just a thought, C U on the next 1
I wonder why they wanted it back at their house, just creates a hassle for insurance to have it transported again to a shop and I’m sure the city won’t take too kindly to that new ornament 😂 I will tow to a customers home if asked but they almost always call back and say they’re told they can’t have it there per HOA/ city regs
people having bad days don't always think strait. Best you can do is warn them that someone is probably going to throw a fit and make them get it towed again. I think the grass would've been a better spot though. Low friction enough the owner might have been able to use his new trailers winch to load it without having to call someone to crane it up again.
I can imagine someone calling their employer saying they will be late for work because there is a boat blocking their driveway.
“Ya boss, you’ll never believe this” lmao
Think about how much worse it would be 20-30 years ago. Now at least you can just take a picture with your phone and send it in.
I can believe it. I once had a 2 story house parked across our driveway. It was about 5am. Stopped to cut branches. Luckily it was stopped for long.
Nothing can stop Pepe's towing, respect as always good job Alex.😊

I like the landscaping with the house at the top of the T intersection. As well as the white fencing on the corner house. Oh yeah nice job on work! 👍😎
That poor guy's problems are far from over after you successfully completed your mission. This was definitely an unusual incident.
I hope putting the boat in front of the mailbox doesn’t become an issue! Thanks for sharing!
Need to pay attention to those small craft advisories, even when using inland passages.
nice job, only 1 problem, you placed the boat in front of the mail box...
What an awesome recovery of the S.S.Minnow. As always 👍
I have noticed that boats do not go well on pavement.
Quite an interesting observation you've made💀
@bendingwarrior1 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I agree, it doesn’t look like boats float well on pavement. 🤪😎
I'm curious as to how well a rotator would float. Getting a rotator out of the bay.. That would be a challange.
Sounds like a potential tagline for Pepe's... "We make the hard jobs look easy"
Thats halarious, "dumping the boat here". Then complements you on "its a nice truck".
Real jerk comment from the cop. Are you guys dumping it???
yeah that cop was a total douchebag. Bring a rotator to dump a boat in a residential area with lights flashing. What a moron.

That trailer had a catastrophic failure. It makes you wonder what the cause of it was. Amazing job just the same!

Right front trailer wheel was badly bent....hit a curb or some kind of barrier.
The trailer had the same make on it as the boat, probably the correct trailer.
