I love this series!! Today, I was at the grocery store and the clerk told me that she liked my dress and asked where I was going. When I told her today was my errands day.. she was shocked. She said you look too pretty to be running errands (I had a summer shift, light makeup and earrings) needless to say, she made my day and I left "walking on a cloud" blessings to you and your family... I wore my bright red floral dress in a local supermarket today I’m 58 years old and got so many smiles today. Thank you Nikki for leading me to be the lady I forgot I was!!! x😊
This made me smile! I also do all yard work and farm chores in my older dresses and skirts! It just seems to make me feel so much more feminine no matter what I am doing! I am 54 and just started embracing my dresses and feminine side again and it has been such an incredible journey! God Bless You!
Nikki I think you and your readers may enjoy the following story: I live in England, and sitting outside a cafe on a sunny day the other day, three older ladies walked past - a vision of feminine loveliness. All wearing printed summery dressed just above the ankle, with mid heel strappy sandals, small pretty handbags, hair done and a light touch of make-up. Here in the UK it is unusual to see English women dress in such long dresses like this. They almost looked Arabic. I felt like I had stepped back in time. Pretty parasols would have completed the look. As they passed, I caught they eye of one lady and said how lovely they all looked. She thanked me and said that was the 2nd compliment they had had that day. She also said she never wore trousers, always dresses. I should have asked what she wore in winter. they continued to glide gracefully by, stopping occassionally to take a closer look at something. In contrast, a woman in her 20's walked by in tight fitting sporty black lycra leggings and vest top. All I will say was her behind looked very peachy :) I asked my husband what style of dress he prefered. He said the older ladies. He said the younger womans way of dressing was too much and that if a man went out dressed like that he would get arrested. I said they do - there are male cyclists - known here as MAMILS - Middle Aged Men in Lycra Shorts - with everything on show. I definately prefer a man dressed smartly such as in a suit or Tux or an in an outdoorsy eg lumberjack kind of style ie masculine.
So true! I'm in the USA as well and I am so tired of seeing people in their pajamas and slippers while they are out in public. How difficult is it really to at least put on a pair of jeans and a top?
@@Jen-jenn I live in a nice English town, and people don't tend to go out in PJ's.and definately not slippers. You do have to wonder if these people in PJ's have actually showered for the day? Yeuch. When I get up in the morning, I have a couple of dresses Islip on, so I at least look presentable if someone knocks on the door, then have breakfast, do a few chores, then shower and dress properly. My morning dresses are comfy jersey casual dresses, as comfy as PJs but they look like I have made an effort.
I really enjoy reading stories such as these, thank you for taking the time to share it with us! How nice to see such a vision of the 3 elegantly dressed ladies. His thoughts on this have great value. I too believe a smartly dressed man or the "lumberjack" kind are very handsome looks for men.
@marywebb9127 At least they're covered up...I'd much prefer PJs over booty shorts and crop tops. Or, for men, those horrendous t-shirts with the sleeves cut off but it's cut almost completely down the side so you can see their whole torso.
Oh my, I love love the idea of not saving the dresses I love the most and only wearing them to church or special events. Now that you say it, what a waste in leaving my beautiful dresses hanging in the closet and not wearing them and getting that wonderful feeling they give me while wearing them! No longer, they are coming out of the closet more often and getting used. Why worry about them when if something happens, I can just get another dress and who doesn’t love to do that, right. So thank you so much for putting that wonderful thought into this hard head of mine❣️
I’ve been wearing dresses exclusively since may and I don’t plan on looking back! Thank you for sharing! Personally, I prefer midi/maxi and modest haha (The three m’s 😅) I even wear a dress kaftan for lounging and night gowns at night! It’s even changed my mood!
I am so excited for this series! Because of your " A Dress a Day in May" videos, I decided to change to wearing all dresses and the change has been dramatic for me! I am just inspired to be the best lady I can be when I wear all dresses and my husband and family love it too! Thank you, Nikki! You are truly inspiring!!!❤
I love what you mentioned about finally ditching the shirts and skirts. I'm at this point and really need to make the plunge. I have a small wardrobe as well and this would solve so much!
I’m in my sixties so when I grew up girls and women wore dresses EVERY single day. Add a hat, gloves, fancy socks, and dressy shoes for Sunday. It was the best of times! When I was a sophomore in high school we could begin wearing jeans or slacks. Throughout my career of teaching I always preferred dresses because they were actually easier to move and teach in. I don’t know what happened when I retired. Dresses have just become popular again. Maybe that is it. Thanks again for your May series and this video. It has been very inspiring for me.
I am almost 60. I loved dressing up for my career during the 80s and 90s. Then in my 40s (2008) I went back to college; my dress became very casual. Now I wear a lab coat over some slacks and a shirt. I want to get back to the dressing up like I used to. Nikki is inspiring.
Wonderful video today, it makes me want to keep trying, I’m getting there! Thanks so much for all you do for us ladies. You looked beautiful today! Your hair was just gorgeous!
I've been doing dresses (and sometimes skirts) everyday for about a year now. It also has changed my wardrobe because i've been slowly decluttering the rest of my clothes at the same time.

Nikki, I’m so excited for this series. I wore a dress to the dentist this week and the hygienist was so complimentary. I find an all dress wardrobe is easier for me in the summer. I haven't worn a dress in decades. If it fits around my bottom it's way too big for my top. I haven't seen a dress that would work for my build in ages. I am choosing to move towards more skirts in my wardrobe. I haven't decided to get rid of jeans yet but I don't care for them so I probably will. I did mow the lawn in a skirt today and I'm planning to wear a skirt every day this week, maybe for a month to see how I feel. :D
I just found your channel. Wow you’re taking me back to when I was young. I was born in the 50s and we did not wear pants. I had a wardrobe it was all dresses. I had two pairs of pants , my mother only wore dresses. We could not wear pants to school. The pants were for afterschool play.😊 the women in the 1940s and 50s are exactly what you’re talking about modest.
Oh how I have been looking forward to this series😊 Thank you Nikki, this is just so lovely and on point ❤ I have always loved dresses too, but especially in my teens felt very insecure and did not want to stick out from the crowd. It is so freeing to wear what you really want! I have also been wearing mainly only dresses for a couple of years now, thanks to your example, and it is wonderful. The only exception is when I am skiing, doing heavy duty gardening or overnight hiking on the mountains. Dresses are a little bit impractical in those situations. But otherwise dresses are just perfect! When some have wondered how can I use so pretty clothes on a regular day, I usually say, that life is too short to be spent wearing ugly clothes. Everyday we are alive, is a miracle, and should be celebrated. As someone said " being alive is a special occasion". My husband also commented that if anyone tries to make me go back to trousers, they will have to deal with him first😅 It was so sweet of him, it is also wonderful to know that he enjoys me expressing my femininity as well. I guess sometimes women are afraid of being laughed at or not to be taken seriously if they look very feminine. But my experience is the opposite, I mostly meet more respect, kindness, good manners and others become also inspired to put their best foot forward, when I am true to myself and don't try to be something that I am not. That is really encouraging to see. Thank you for the inspiration Nikki! You are and look so lovely❤
Thank you, Petra! It's nice to know you enjoy this content so much. I hope to cover that subject and the feelings we go through at that age. I may quote you. What your husband said was sweet. Thank you for sharing your take on this, it's very helpful🌹
@@TheLadyoftheHouse Thank you Nikki, for your reply! I really look forward to future episodes, exciting to see what the Lord will put on your heart. I have no daughters of my own, but really wish to encourage the young girls and women around me to be the ladies God has created them to be. It is very interesting to hear your take on this subject from a broad perspective. Blessings to you :)
I love your mission to rescue our femininity and our life role as a lady. Being older, I grew up wearing dresses. I think the trend to put women in pants had a hidden agenda to rob our beautiful feminine nature, God’s design for us. I want to set an example for my grandchildren and am shifting my wardrobe to dresses and skirts. I sew some of my own clothes and love using older classic style patterns. Your videos are refreshing!
I am always inspired but me 67 years old feet have issues, even when wearing very expensive shoes. I bought my first pair of van sneakers and my orthotics fit in them. While they are not as comfortable as my regular athletic shoes, I find I am able to run errands without much discomfort in these. Although when I get home, it's back to sneakers. This has been the biggest stumbling block because I do love dresses and have a good number of them.
When it comes to my feet, I don’t care how expensive or brand name, if they hurt my feet they are leaving… I feel your pain, we want nice pretty shoes to go with a pretty dress. If I’m going to be mostly sitting, I can put up with a bit of discomfort. But if I’ve got some walking to do…. Comfort 1st!!
Hi Nikki at the moment I'm not wearing dresses as it is super cold where l live in Australia. Once Spring and Summer comes l will be wearing them. I loved your May series on dresses it was fabulous. Thanks Nikki lovely to see you again.❤❤
A denim or wool dress is helpful in the winter; I find a denim or wool lined skirt with tights or leggings and boots is quite warm. A base layer under a dress is helpful to stay warm; Cuddle Duds has nice base layers often in silk.
I live in Sweden and wear only dresses (apart from when skiing, overnight hiking or doing heavy duty gardening). I must say that I find wearing thick wool/cashmereblend stockings with a nice wool or even thicker cotton dress is actually warmer than wearing jeans or trousers. I usually have a thin merinowool and silkblend slip under, some of them with long arms, and also wear a cardigan if it is really cold. So you have at least 2-3 warm layers on the bodyparts that easily get cold. If it is very cold, i add thin merinowool "shorts" that give the extra warmth but do not add bulk. The good thing with a dress is that you can add very many thin layers underneath, and it does not look or feel bulky. At home I have pretty wool socks or slippers on my feet. Outside I wear a long, victorian style coat (just wonderful, I have had it for years) and long boots up to my knees. If it is really cold I add a special, warm "thermo"skirt under my long coat that can easily be opened with a full length zipper and is is easy to take off when you go inside. I must say that I feel much warmer in this kind of clothing than in a winter jacket and trousers. And many have commented how elegant that look is😊 I wish you good luck, joy and blessings in your journey of discovering the winter dresses in Paris 😊
@@Petra_T_J Thank you Petra! There are several things I will try among the various possibilities you suggested. I do wear only long skirts and dresses, even in winter, but I find it hard to find thick cotton or woolen high quality dresses. Most things on the market are synthetic and cheap. This is my main issue. Last winter I ended up wearing a thin cheap polyester skirt with woolen stockings and woolen jumper, but the result is not nice. They sell those skirts and dresses for winter only because the color is dark, but basically the fabric is for beach wear! (and why should we wear dark colors in the winter, by the way?) Did you stop wearing skirts too?
@@mariondapsance7803 I do understand the problem, Marion! It is really hard to find good quality these times. The nice thing is, that when you find one, it will last for years :) I hope you can find something you really like. I agree also when it comes to colors! Even though I have quite many dark colored winter dresses, I would love to have more lighter colors in my winter wardrobe. I do not have any winter skirts anymore, only one very nice linen skirt for summer, which has a matching top. I could not give them away, they are so pretty :) But I am not going to buy new skirts, I am so happy to not having anything pressing my stomach when wearing a dress. And skirts tend to move around and not stay in place, which can be a bit irritating. I really hope you will be successful with dresses in the coming winter, and wish you a nice summer with all the lovely summerdresses :)
Hi Nikki, What a lovely video and topic for this series. Thank you for sharing the topic of being able to blush and respecting yourself enough to be modest. In reading Proverbs daily, I’m reminded that only our husbands should be satisfied and privy to seeing our breast and cleavage; the strange woman is alluring men with her body and words. Powerful thoughts from scripture to ponder. Julie 🌷
Hi Nikki, how do you decide whether a dress is too fancy or not? I just bought a dress I absolutely adore but it’s a bit fancy for my comfort zone, especially since nobody dresses as fancy as I do where I live… Love xx
That's a great question and something worth discussing! Sometimes, it can feel awkward when you start wearing dresses, like you may be overly dressed. I make most dresses work each day. As long as it's not "evening wear" (the fancy kind) then most things seem like it could fit into the "day dress" category. You have given me a great video topic, thank you! I hope this helps but overall, wear what makes you feel comfortable at the time.
I personally love skirts and blouses in spring and summer and skirts and sweaters in fall and winter. I also love dresses. This has been true for me even as a child. It would be hard for me to decide if I like skirts or dresses better. I won’t be getting rid of my skits… I think they are just as feminine as dresses if you choose wisely.
I hope you realise how wonderful you are Nikki and that bringing this subject to the fore has certainly encouraged me to wear my dresses as well as learning to accept my feminine self and recognising the rest of my life just 'slotted' into place because of it. I am so grateful to you ♥X
Do any of you have suggestions on where to find feminine, modest and reasonably priced dresses? I need arm coverage as well. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful content and the helpful comments and sharing.
I’ve purchased a few cotton dresses. They are quite casual compared to yours, but so comfy. I probably won’t convert to all dresses although incorporating them into my routine is a nice change. It is quite hard to find cotton dresses, even rayon in the hottest days are not very comfy. It would be nice to find a good source.
I'm so glad you are gaining enjoyment from adding more dresses to your days. I agree, rayon can get hot too. I have been searching more cotton and linen dresses on Etsy and Poshmark.
I’ve been really feeling bad about myself lately and honestly just full of self hate. Last year right after having my youngest of 3 sons, I felt great and I bought a bunch of dresses. Then something traumatic happened to me and I haven’t worn them that much in a year. Last night I put on one of my favorite ones and it made me feel so beautiful I literally cried. My husband said that the dresses suit me and that’s how he would love to see me dressed all the time
I’m so glad you decided to do this! It’s amazing how allowing ourselves to feel worthy of our best changes our mindset. I truly hope you continue to treat yourself well. All those around you will notice the difference too 🌹
@@TheLadyoftheHouseI do notice that when I pour into myself and take care of myself, that I take better care of my husband and children and our home. And that I’m happier and more gentle and more patient.
Hey Nikki, I adore your dresses. Do you still wear dresses in Winter? I would love to transition to all dresses too. I just need to find the right design. I wish your Store called Ross was over here in Australia. ❤
Thank you! Yes, I continue to wear dresses in the winter. Changing up the fabric is a must if going somewhere very cold, as well as tights or leggings under boots. Leg warmers are also a wonderful way to stay warm by layering. I enjoy longer coats and scarves too.
For those ladies in Australia, you can buy woolen skirts online for winter. They can be on the pricier side. But for the warmth, quality etc its worth the price. My grandmother in law wore them with stockings, a blouse and a cardigan and a pearl necklace. 😊
I’m a millennial and growing up I was ragged on by peers when I wore dresses and skirts (which was only sometimes). Half my female peers would “accuse” me of setting women back by wearing them. This past fall of 2022 a friend told me that I dress really fancy for work each day because I usually wear jeans with a feminine top instead of sweat pants, leggings, or yoga pants. Currently an opportunity to wear a dress or skirt (usually at church or a special event) is a treat for me. I often get glares from some women when I do. I wear jeans in an attempt to keep the peace so to speak.
I love the look of dresses, but I don't have a slim figure which makes dresses look like tents. Also, being larger makes me get rashes on my legs when wearing dresses. Obviously losing weight is part of the answer, but even when I was slim, my legs are thicker, so the rash issue persists. I try to dress feminine and modest everyday, but do so with pants.
I have always loved the look of beautiful dresses on women. Keep thinking how wondsrful ot would be if it came back in style to dress loke they use to....like you dress. But I myself feel completely uncomfortable in dresses. I want to change it, but having problems finding aomething I feel comfortable in. I wont give up. I may just have to just jump in and start wearing a dress evwryday regardelss to force it to feel normal to me.
Did you always speak so perfectly, or did you have to work at it? I really feel that when I speak I'm all over the place. So, even if I'm dressed well, I feel I don't come across that well.
That's so nice of you to say, thank you! I have worked at speaking as I never have felt I'm very good at it. It's something to always keep in mind and to think before we speak. I can be all over the place as well though.
Why believe it all women should dress modestly and dresses because the Bible says so. I don't even own a pair of pants I dress just like a lady should dress in a dress.
You are a "fraud" I'd say if you wish to wear something but you don't. Never rob yourself of that. The more you do, the better you will feel. I promise 🌹

I’m so excited for this series!! Dressing is one of my favorite topics. I love the dresses on your rack. So lovely all in pink! 💗💕
I'm so glad you enjoy this topic🌹
Thank you for sharing this lovely video. Your hair looks beautiful 💗
Thank you!
Fabulous topic!
Thank you, Lisa 🌹
I love your mission to rescue our femininity and our life role as a lady. Being older, I grew up wearing dresses. I think the trend to put women in pants had a hidden agenda to rob our beautiful feminine nature, God’s design for us. I want to set an example for my grandchildren and am shifting my wardrobe to dresses and skirts. I sew some of my own clothes and love using older classic style patterns. Your videos are refreshing!
Thank you so much, Kathy!
Do not be discouraged. Do the best that you can. We all have our own limitations so I can relate. I am sure you look beautiful either way! ❤
Yes bad feet do get i the way! Do you do any foot exercises? I have RA, and find they help.
@@cambiumlayer1318 thank you!
@@debbielynn6683 absolutely!
Hi Nikki at the moment I'm not wearing dresses as it is super cold where l live in Australia. Once Spring and Summer comes l will be wearing them. I loved your May series on dresses it was fabulous. Thanks Nikki lovely to see you again.❤❤
I'm so glad you loved that series!
That's great, thank you! Do you have advice for women in colder climates to have a dresses only wardrobe (for the winter)? Cheers from Paris.
A denim or wool dress is helpful in the winter; I find a denim or wool lined skirt with tights or leggings and boots is quite warm. A base layer under a dress is helpful to stay warm; Cuddle Duds has nice base layers often in silk.
@@juliecarns Thank you very much!
And many have commented how elegant that look is😊
I wish you good luck, joy and blessings in your journey of discovering the winter dresses in Paris 😊
Julie 🌷
Absolutely!
Oh Nikki, you look so beautiful. I adore the way you've styled your hair. Thank you for another lovely video 🌹😊.
Thank you kindly!
Looking forward to the new series! And that dress was the perfect fit for this introduction!🌸
I'm so glad! Thank you kindly 🌹
I personally love skirts and blouses in spring and summer and skirts and sweaters in fall and winter.
I also love dresses.
This has been true for me even as a child.
It would be hard for me to decide if I like skirts or dresses better.
I won’t be getting rid of my skits…
I think they are just as feminine as dresses if you choose wisely.
I hope you realise how wonderful you are Nikki and that bringing this subject to the fore has certainly encouraged me to wear my dresses as well as learning to accept my feminine self and recognising the rest of my life just 'slotted' into place because of it. I am so grateful to you ♥X
What a lovely comment to read, thank you deeply 🌹
Hi Nikki I have emailed you a couple of pictures from my all dresses wardrobe xxx Kim
Thank you so much, I look forward to sharing 🌹
Do any of you have suggestions on where to find feminine, modest and reasonably priced dresses?
I need arm coverage as well.
Thanks so much for all of the wonderful content and the helpful comments and sharing.
Omg I love this
I'm so glad!
Love this video
@@Laura-kv7bl that’s wonderful!

Thank you so much 🌹
Hey Nikki, I adore your dresses.
How lovely!
Blessing!
What do you wear if you’re cleaning or gardening?
A dress. I have many videos sharing myself completing such tasks 🌹
Wear what makes you feel beautiful and ignore any glares. That says more about the one who glares than it does about you.
I doubt they are glaring at you, maybe admiring your dress.
Wow ❤❤ so nice 😍
Thank you!
Pettipants are the best under dresses for this issue.
Did you link your email? I'm not seeing it.

Yes, it all begins by starting and then one day, you realize you’ll never go back 🌹
Did you always speak so perfectly, or did you have to work at it? I really feel that when I speak I'm all over the place. So, even if I'm dressed well, I feel I don't come across that well.
That's so nice of you to say, thank you! I have worked at speaking as I never have felt I'm very good at it. It's something to always keep in mind and to think before we speak. I can be all over the place as well though.
A sea of yoga pants😂😂😂
Why believe it all women should dress modestly and dresses because the Bible says so. I don't even own a pair of pants I dress just like a lady should dress in a dress.
I'm so ashamed at wearing nice clothes. I can't get over the "I'm a fraud" feeling or that someone else would look better and I'm just a clown. :(
You are a "fraud" I'd say if you wish to wear something but you don't. Never rob yourself of that. The more you do, the better you will feel. I promise 🌹
Your hair looks beautiful!
Thank you 🌹
