I met Phoebe, briefly, back in the early 2000’s, as I was entering an elevator in Manhattan, one day, and she was exiting the elevator. I said; “Hi Phoebe! I’m a big fan of your music!” She thanked me, and I then added; “So, when are you going to release some more music?” She replied; “I know, I know…I want to get back into the studio and start recording, again, but I’ve been caring for my disabled child, so it’s hard.” She was a beautiful person and she is a beautiful soul. God bless you, Phoebe. Thank you for sharing your musical talents with the world.
I'm 62. I still have her LP I bought as a teenager. I feel like her voice and music became part of my DNA. the entire album soothed me as a teenager in my times of personal struggles. When I was 19 i travelled overseas. Went to a live episode of Three's Company sitcoms LA and who sitting near to me in the audience? none other than Pheobe Snow! O M G! Of course I was probably not what she wanted .. a gushing fan. Sorry Phoebe. I couldn't believe I'd crossed paths with her. I love her voice and guitar playing so much. ❤
My Mother loved this song! For me, helped me understand how my dad wooed other women even though he had a wife and 5 children at the house. 😂 Always loved this Woman! Have and enjoy the oldies. They/we really are the goodies. (I just turned a great-full 66.)
I am hoping enough time has passed that I may relate my story about meeting Phoebe...It was the early 1970's and I was a reporter at the Steamboat Pilot newspaper in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It must have been a weekend night because a band was playing at the Cantina bar and restaurant on Main Street (Hwy 40) in the downtown and she was passing through town with a friend. But at one point her friend had her sit in and sing three or four songs. I couldn't believe the range of her voice and the empathy she projected with each word she sang. I, to this day, can't compare her vocal emissions to another singer. The rest is a blur, except I remember having breakfast with her at the same table the next morning at what was called The Waffle Shack, located one block away from the bar. I never saw her again in person, but followed her amazing career and sometimes very undeserved painful life. Years later I wrote a few books, one of them a poetry book called Poems by Rushing Water...Smoothing Glass and Stone to Sand. The whole time I was writing, her song Poetry Man was running through my head. I wish I had written it sooner so I could have told her what an inspiration she was. Her voice has never left my life.
74 yea4s for me and she was epic. Took my 9 yr old daughter with me to one of Phoebe Smows concerts and she (my daughter sang every song on the albums we had!!!!! She loved her music as well. She is 54 years young now and we still love Ms. Snows music and takent. RIH U ANGEL.❤
Phoebe Snow is one of the most underrated female singers to EVER live!! Her vocal range was INSANE!!! I wish more people knew who she was. What an incredible live performance this was. God Bless you, Phoebe. I feel honored to have lived during your singing career!! RIP, Sweet Angel!!
Totally underrated and underappreciated. Her talent was just otherworldly. Like all the true greats she had to die before receiving the recognition she so rightly deserves. RIP
I saw ger live in Dayton Ohio when i was in my 20s. What a haughting and amazing voice, the finest female vocalist i ever heard. She deserved much more than she experienced in life. Rest in the joy of everlasting love.

How can one song slam you so hard back into the much better days of your childhood so wonderful and quickly? God knows what hurts and he knows what to do. Thank you for wonderful music, Lord. Thank you for this song and this lady’s wonderful voice.
Every single song on the self-titled Phoebe Snow album was brilliant. Her rendition of Let The Good Times Roll, must have had the late great Sam Cook dancing in his grave. Phoebe completely took that classic and made ither own. That, plus Poetry Man, It Must Be Sunday, No Show Tonight, San Francisco Blues, just all of the tunes and what's clear is that she's doing these songs live in the studio! What a wonderful voice and it's so good that we have that part of this beautiful lady to remember her by.
Man I’m from the generation that grew up on God’s gifted talent to certain musicians. A lot of the young generation musicians need a lot of technology to perform.
I'm from a younger generation; but, I must have an old soul. Pheobe, I believe, has the most beautiful vocal styling's, I've ever heard. This woman defied the laws of music theory; so, take those same books outside and burn them to ash. I've never heard anyone who could, "brake, switch back, and shift octave's" so effortlessly and without a single flaw. This is "real" music, not, apart of that mass-produced garbage the major labels continually formulate and "cookie cut" out of useless polyester fakeness. I'll go to the, "Ends of the Earth" to find unique music talent and Pheobe is a "Queen". What a beautiful woman, inside and out. She deserved so much more recognition, than what she received in life. Just like the grand-master painters of the past, their only appreciated after their gone -- I wish life had treated her better, than what she was given. Life passes with every second, but, the music stays with us. God, must have smiled when Pheobe walked in -- welcoming an outstanding soul and a delightful addition to His Heavenly Choir. I'm crying right now without realizing it, as I write this commentary. I will miss this "Empress of Music". Everyone, who reads this -- I wish you good health and please, stay safe out there.
She was a Beautiful Soul. The only way I can describe her. This song brings tears to me. I always wonder what inspired her to write this. It's Beautiful but also Heartbreaking 💗. Thank you Phoebe for an all time Classic.
@@carloflorez8697 Pheobe was talented beyond what most musician's can dream of, even if, they may have made more albums. Quality, is, far more important than quantity.

Still listening and enjoying your music in 2023! Thank you! RIP, Beautiful soul! 💫 🕊 🌹 🕯
you're post is lovely. God smiled on Phoebe. Phoebe was popular in the 70's, but then forgotten. I'm Glad you, Spin'glass can appreciate her extraordinary voice. I love Phone Snow's music. She's passed years ago. RIP.
Me, front table at stage. You, on stage, Village Gate, mid-80s. You dedicated At Last to your special needs child. Me, chills, tears. Thank you for blessing us with your extraordinary talent and remarkable music. Rest easy, now, Phoebe. You are truly missed.
@For God's Glory//Ah, The Village Gate, where one could go to hear such class and style, in addition to talent, exhibited by the inimitable Phoebe Snow. She was a gem. We used to frequent a tiny haunt in Seaford called 'Sonny's Place'; raw jazz performed here. The seventies through eighties was a wonderful time for great music. R.I.P. Phoebe dear!
I'm so happy to see that over 900,000 people have viewed this video. This is one of the most remarkable songs I have ever heard. It came out just after I graduated from high school. I must have played it a million times. Phobe chose taking care of a special needs child over more money and fame. She later had a stroke, eventually passing away. Practically nothing was mentioned about her death. Unbelievable. Sad. What a rare gem. This made my day. People appreciate her. Thank you.
This song reminds me of one of the best nights - if not THE best night I ever had. I saw Phoebe Snow in many concerts. Each was spot on. One of my favorites was at Central Park, NYC, shortly before she died. She was learning a song at the last minute...taught my another favorite of mine - Keb' Mo. Sweet, sett, memories.
It’s 2020 and I’m still listening. This is my favorite version of this tune. It flows so smoothly and effortlessly it’s obvious that the whole band is on the same page. R.I.P. Phoebe. You are missed.
Phoebe snow is white as well..Shes of Jewish heritage..Not african American like some think. She was once honored by a magazine as an influential black artist.she had to get a DNA test in 2011 to prove her heritage..check it out for yourself..
For some unknown reason, I Googled for a bio of our Phoebe just now. The 10th anniversary of Phoebe sailing off with the angels. Thank you for your Exquisite gift. Still listening in Croton New York.
Phoebe was a true artist. She respected her talent enough to always give her best. So many aspiring singers should learn that lesson because pop stardom is a fickle master. Better to be an artist than a pop star. R.I.P., Phoebe. :**(
I'm glad to see these views. This song will be a staple of one of the better memories in my life. Phobe Snow was a class act. She had a unique voice. There were none similar. This is top notch, fantastic music. She took the high road and cared for her daughter rather than risk balancing a career. When she died it went hardly noticed. Two lines on the pages of a few newspapers. It's refreshing to see so many other people are interested in her music.
such a beautiful soul....I miss her......she can make a strong man cry and love it......I hope to huge her in the next life and tell her how special she was and is.......
I was born when this came out. I've been discovering more music from the 60s and 70s in recent years and I absolutely love it. I wish I grew up in those decades. Some of the best music from the best musicians ever recorded. Never heard of this song or artist before and that's a damn shame because this is absolutely beautiful. I hope to discover many other like this
me too , the 70s when men were men and women loved us . very few games , if you liked her and she liked you lets go get some chow and then go home listen to music , dance and make love .
Something wonderful, ahead of her time because, the music she sang was above the music of that time, Those who never heard her sing, never heard of her missed out on a spectacular woman! She had a daughter who required care and Phobe Snow gave up her career as a fantastic singer to take care of her daughter. I love her and admire her because family was more important to than fame and fortune. Fame is fleeting, but never your family. They are constant, always there and she chose love . She will always be one Hell of a woman to me, I loved her music, her style and her devotion to her daughter, Always will love Phoebe Snow because she was one of a kind, Marion Hunter.
And will Always say Phoeb Snow was before time. And for those who never heard of her, never knew her name and never heard her music and never heard her sing, you missed out on hearing a Goddess. Marion Hunter.
This song never gets old.. she was such a shining star , with her voice, lyrics and guitar playing , she reached many people.. it's hard to listen to this and not close your eyes and just get blissfully lost in the music
I had never heard of Phoebe Snow but when she died, Howard Stern spoke of her extensively. I did some research and it seems that she was a very, very special person. This is the first time I have ever heard her sing as well. There is a new angel in heaven with a spectacular voice. Rest easy Phoebe.
This is so amazing. Everytime I check in here I am blown away by how she makes it look so easy to produce a complete masterpiece. That voice and the guitar work...I can not figure out how you sweep me away on such a blissful journey in less than five minutes. I feel like I've been in a deep, shaded woods for weeks and suddenly stumble into a ray of sunlight when I hear this... Here I am again, a year later. What an amazing talent! She doesn't even look like she is trying.
I fell in love with this ladies voice the first time I heard her on the radio in 1975. Her music is destined to be classic and will continue to be discovered and appreciated for a long time. My heart sinks a little when I remember that she is no longer with us.
✔Still absolutely beautiful! Great feel to this song! She a great guitar player with an angelic voice! 1974-2020...46yrs and still sounds relevant. Great job Phoebe!
Things probably were not better it just seemed better because we were young and didn't have adult problems yet, no bills to pay no marriage problems and all the other stuff people go through
After Valerie Rose's death in 2007 Phoebe dedicated all of her performances to her daughter. She had trouble sometimes doing live performances because she would be thinking of Valerie Rose. That won't happen anymore. She is with her daughter forever now. We will miss you terribly, Phoebe, but your daughter was your life and we were just along for the ride. Be at peace gentle kind lady.
I didn't know Phoebe Snow had another life to live. Although I regret not having more music from Phoebe Snow, I now understand. Thank you for posting this info of her personal life.
One of my favorite singers. I heard her on commercials for years. Her voice was so distinctive, I knew it was her and I hated that she didn't have better work to do than that. However, I found out she chose to stay at home with her child who was an invalid and I realized she chose the best after all. RIP Phoebe. You were a true artist.
thats a great insight but I beg to differ I am a disabled Musician and my Mom was an traditional RN if I had nt had Mom put the truth in front of me of being able bodied / in every sense of the word I would nt have been able to punch a hole in the sky and draw songs out of myself Invalids no such thing just challenged ppl I dont know how challenged the daughter was I would have loved to have met her P was a great person and a wonderful singer she had a wonderful unique style to her singing so blessed I wished she had produced more bless her heart for what she gave !!amazing
I read that Phoebe's daughter was severely brain damaged. She wasn't expected to live very long and she passed away very young. I'm glad you're not as challenged and have a mother who inspires you.
Regina Russell Hi, Her daughter, Valerie Rose, was born December 10, 1975. Very near the beginning of Phoebe's career. Phoebe resolved not to institutionalize Valerie, and cared for her at home until Valerie died on March 19, 2007, at the age of 31. Though I did not know what she was to become, I was fortunate to see Phoebe in concert at a small outdoor basketball court at University of Hawaii at Moana in late 1973. There could not have been more than 500 or 600 people there. I do distinctly remember her playing 'Poetry Man'. This, I believe, before it was ever recorded. It seemed such a spiritual evening I can almost remember it like yesterday. As I followed Phoebe's career, that evening has been growing more dear to me and has it's own place in my heart. Also in the hearts of millions of others as well. She and Valerie are together once again. Aloha Nu'i Loa, Po'ipe Hau RIP Dear Phoebe (Ann Laub) Snow
@@crazybob1954mo that is the true story. through stem cell research/treatments she was able to communicate with her...they had a wonderful life together.
Wow. What an incredible performer and song! So glad I found her! I will be listening to more of her songs! I came here looking for a number for my major system list. Magical!!!
Beautiful her smooth as silk contralto voice, no wonder Rolling Stone said she was one of the most gifted female voices. This jazzed up version is the greatest!
I sang this song with her in Florida live on stage. It makes me cry knowing shes gone I miss her so much she was a second mom to me. Shes my inspiration.
What a wonderful gift to be able to perform with her. Cherish that memory. She was such a talented singer, gorgeous voice, just perfection. Rest In Peace Ms Snow, till we meet again.
She was a total total angel pure and simple there was a place in heaven waiting on her god bless her and keep her and her beautiful daughter near you❤❤❤❤🙏🙏
We miss you Phoebe Snow. One of the most gifted singers (and songwriter) on the USA & the world. Her voice was just an absolute treasure. I get goosebumps every time I listen her singing. Die too soon. :-(
She did more in this performance than the studio would allow her in that massive hit single from years before. What a virtuoso voice. She showed she could do anything with this epic song, and it would still make your heart surge.
This song reminds me of my oldest sister who recently passed away and I wish I could have seen her before she passed and told her I love her. Phoebe was really truly an artist. Very underrated.
Thank u you soo much for the kind words. This song when it comes on I think if 1976 and Yucca valley and the home I was actually born in where Barbara was quite the 1st born I don’t mean that bad I mean she had the personality traits of the ones on the book birth order. She also had few that had me and my older sister laughing to this day as She told us that female friend of hers was not gonna be allowed at her birthday party and we both said to her but she won’t get any cake and ice cream and she said F her. She’s gonna not get any. Me and my and sister still laugh about it.
Phoebe Snow is classic, always, timeless. And that's what classic is. TIMELESS. If you never heard her voice, you will never know why hummingbirds SING! Marion Hunter.
This has been one of my all time favourites since it came out back in 1974. Reminds me of my mom, she used to sing around the house, now I do the same. Love Phoebe Snow ❤
Hearing this song brings me right back to the mid 70's. Phoebe Snow had a distinctive beautiful tone and sound. I was an instant fan. I was so sad to hear about her passing and after learning that she spent 31 years caring for her daughter I understood why there was not a lot of follow up sucess from her. Phoebe placed the safety and security of her daughter above her career. Her selflessness is so admirable and it speaks volumes of the wonderful woman she was. I had heard Poetry Man on the radio recently so I came home and put TH-cam on the TV and searched for the song. I found this version which I fell in love with instantly. Her vocals and guitar playing are fabulous. She started playing again in 2007 after her daughter passed to fill the hole in her heart. Knowing that only makes me appreciate her courage to share her music again. Phoebe passed away at a young 60 years old. I am sure she is singing in heaven with her daughter. Thank you Phoebe for your beautiful music and your beautiful soul. You will remain one of my all time favorites forever.
What a beautiful voice sung live. I have so much more understanding of her particular artfulness now that I'm older. It's sublime and shimmering. Just beautiful.
Wow. One of a kind. We were so blessed to have her music while I was growing up in the 70's. We were spoiled in those days. We had the most inventive and best music of all time. The best writers, performers. I challenge anyone today to match this writing and performing.
What an inspirational woman. A talent which we shall forever miss. RIP Phoebe. Those of us still living shall forever remember your grace you blessed us with.
I heard this song for the first time in a while, about a month ago in a Walgreens store, I was like wow, I remember hearing this on the radio when I was a kid in the 70's. Through searching on youtube and getting the title of the song wrong and not knowing the singer, I revisited Walgreens and what do I know, the same song was playing. I asked one of the workers and she told me the correct title along with the artist. Where did I get "you're the apology man" from? Lol...beautiful song
Still listening in 2024. It moves me still, after decades.
6/22/24: this song was in my head this am...love her voice

Practically nothing was mentioned about her death. Unbelievable. Sad. What a rare gem. This made my day. People appreciate her. Thank you.
ALWAYS WILL LOVE HER! HER VOICE. IS MAGICAL. A GIFT FROM GOD. AND WILL ALWAYS MISS HER. MARION HUNTER.
Wow!! Easily one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Phoebe's voice is so incredible!!
Who's listening in 2019? This is nothing less than flawless
ME! This is one of the most perfect vocals ever filmed. She once sang this to my table at a concert in a small basement in NYC
Hell yeah she's awesome
Phoebe Snow, I'm still listening (12/20/19) to 'Poetry Man.
OneHitWonderGuy almost 2020 still listening to this beautiful song ♥️🎶🎶
It’s 2020 and I’m still listening. This is my favorite version of this tune. It flows so smoothly and effortlessly it’s obvious that the whole band is on the same page. R.I.P. Phoebe. You are missed.
I am a 58 year old white guy, and this is one of my favorite songs.
Phoebe snow is white as well..Shes of Jewish heritage..Not african American like some think. She was once honored by a magazine as an influential black artist.she had to get a DNA test in 2011 to prove her heritage..check it out for yourself..
What in the world does your race (or age) have to do with liking this song? It was just a beautiful song, PERIOD.
I’ve loved this great classic since I was eleven still very young
Still great. She came out with this in '74.
My favorite things by Phoebe Snow ❤️ one of a kind inspiration Artist gone to soon, blessed to have the opportunity to see her perform live 🙏 ✨️
For some unknown reason, I Googled for a bio of our Phoebe just now. The 10th anniversary of Phoebe sailing off with the angels. Thank you for your Exquisite gift. Still listening in Croton New York.
"You are a genie...and all I ask for is your smile each time I rub the lamp." Pure poetry, man.
Phoebe was a true artist. She respected her talent enough to always give her best. So many aspiring singers should learn that lesson because pop stardom is a fickle master. Better to be an artist than a pop star. R.I.P., Phoebe. :**(
When stressed listen to Poetry Man, instant relief. Where did musicians like this go?? Just beautiful.
There could not be a more beautiful voice-that we have been gifted.
One of the finest singers America has ever produced. So under rated and yet so outstanding!! God! I love her!! ..
yes indeed.
One of my favorite songs ever. Love her voice.
31 years ago,man i am old,70 now,great music
We are all going there Richard.
RIP sweet Phoebe. You changed more lives with that voice than you could ever know.
absolutely !
She brings tranquility to an otherwise very chaotic world here in 2019.
@@tribeofjuda yes and in these times of trouble today 2020
I'm glad to see these views. This song will be a staple of one of the better memories in my life. Phobe Snow was a class act. She had a unique voice. There were none similar. This is top notch, fantastic music. She took the high road and cared for her daughter rather than risk balancing a career. When she died it went hardly noticed. Two lines on the pages of a few newspapers. It's refreshing to see so many other people are interested in her music.
such a beautiful soul....I miss her......she can make a strong man cry and love it......I hope to huge her in the next life and tell her how special she was and is.......
Amen, Brother..Amen!
Me too
I'm with you on that! ♥
Me too! She's wonderful!
I knew I couldn't be the only one to feel this way about this amazing spirit.
I remember you from the 70s in my teens. This is 2022. Often think of you, you was awesome. Miss you dearly.
Stops me dead in my tracks every time I hear this song. Perfect in every way. I miss her.
I hope to discover many other like this
I really miss this kind of quality music, thank you Phoebe...R.I.P.
I miss her so much. She reminds me of the best times of my life
first time heard in berkeley w janis Ian and Harland Guilderman a buddy
me too , the 70s when men were men and women loved us . very few games , if you liked her and she liked you lets go get some chow and then go home listen to music , dance and make love .
raymeus
You rock!
I dedicate but a single note (4:31-4:42) to your brilliant post.
Phoebe was the poetry wooo man!.. Her music made things right... La-la-la-la ... rip
Phoebe was and will always be the best. First a magnificent mother, second a brilliant artist.
Why did she have to die? The time of my life when I needed her beautiful voice, she was there. Oh how I miss her. Thank God we have her recordings.
Me too
Her voice was amazing. A true talent.
@@barbb.6407 and a wonderful mother
Phoebe's beautiful voice is so haunting. This is one of the best melodies ever written.
I find myself hearing this selection constantly because of it's uniqueness- a truly brilliant piece😊.....
She sang at Howard's wedding
@concorde9615 wow I didn't know she sang at steins wedding😢
Miss Phoebe so much! This song so hauntingly beautiful and timeless!
We were all blessed to have such a wonderful talent that Phoebe was among us...God bless you Phoebe Snow...Your beautiful music will live forever.
Im glad I grew up listening to her amazing vocalist way ahead of her time ❤
This is so amazing.
Sam Wharton : I agree 100%. She’s such a shining star 🌟
u said it like walking out of the woods into a ray of light she is so powerful
@Sam Wharton: That's cause she ain't trying.
You poet, you! Be still my foolish heart.
Still listening to Phoebe in 2021! She made me smile then..... and she still does!!! Wow, that voice is sublime❤️
I fell in love with this ladies voice the first time I heard her on the radio in 1975. Her music is destined to be classic and will continue to be discovered and appreciated for a long time. My heart sinks a little when I remember that she is no longer with us.
Goose-bumps...her vocal range is out of this world. Awesome talent.
✔Still absolutely beautiful! Great feel to this song! She a great guitar player with an angelic voice!
1974-2020...46yrs and still sounds relevant. Great job Phoebe!
This sounds as good today as the first time I heard it - great memories !!!!
memories of 1975..when everything was better than now...
Carlos Araujo '75 was a good year, agree
Things probably were not better it just seemed better because we were young and didn't have adult problems yet, no bills to pay no marriage problems and all the other stuff people go through
We're living in the end times, sadly.
You have no clue as to what you are talking about. I'll take 2019 over 1975 anyday.
@Michael Asay the world was horrible for some of us back then
Her voice is just incredible
Sure heaven is full of her beautiful songs 🎵
After Valerie Rose's death in 2007 Phoebe dedicated all of her performances to her daughter. She had trouble sometimes doing live performances because she would be thinking of Valerie Rose. That won't happen anymore. She is with her daughter forever now. We will miss you terribly, Phoebe, but your daughter was your life and we were just along for the ride. Be at peace gentle kind lady.
Beautiful voice, beautiful person. Love her
I didn't know Phoebe Snow had another life to live. Although I regret not having more music from Phoebe Snow, I now understand.
Thank you for posting this info of her personal life.
🥺
The best vocal performance ever recorded. I sometimes listen 10 times in a role. #RIPPhoebe I miss you so!
One of my favorite singers. I heard her on commercials for years. Her voice was so distinctive, I knew it was her and I hated that she didn't have better work to do than that. However, I found out she chose to stay at home with her child who was an invalid and I realized she chose the best after all. RIP Phoebe. You were a true artist.
thats a great insight but I beg to differ I am a disabled Musician and my Mom was an traditional RN
if I had nt had Mom put the truth in front of me of being able bodied / in every sense of the word
I would nt have been able to punch a hole in the sky
and draw songs out of myself
Invalids no such thing just challenged ppl
I dont know how challenged the daughter was
I would have loved to have met her
P was a great person and a wonderful singer she had a wonderful unique style to her singing so blessed
I wished she had produced more bless her heart for what she gave !!amazing
Aloha Nu'i Loa, Po'ipe Hau
RIP Dear Phoebe (Ann Laub) Snow
@@crazybob1954mo that is the true story. through stem cell research/treatments she was able to communicate with her...they had a wonderful life together.
the soundtrack of my youth! RIP Phoebe.
Same here😎
Wow. What an incredible performer and song! So glad I found her! I will be listening to more of her songs! I came here looking for a number for my major system list. Magical!!!
Beautiful her smooth as silk contralto voice, no wonder Rolling Stone said she was one of the most gifted female voices. This jazzed up version is the greatest!
yea a 4 octave voice.. wow!!
Incredible performance. Her singing and guitar playing are next level. This is what musical perfection looks like. Thank you, Phoebe.
Rest In Peace Ms Snow, till we meet again.
lucky man....one in a billion.......very special......cherish it always.......be well
Jimmy Levy
jimmy you must be a hell of a singer.
Phoebe Snow - so wonderful. Just gives me chills. I listened to this in my dorm room too!
She was a total total angel pure and simple there was a place in heaven waiting on her god bless her and keep her and her beautiful daughter near you❤❤❤❤🙏🙏
The best live performance ever im in tears 👍❤
You don't have to wear revealing clothes and show your ass to be truly talented and share your talent to the world!! Phoebe is a perfect example!!
Amen
I totally agree
Carolyn , I second that !
you got that so right.
your sooo right,,soon as she opens her mouth,,,its true class
We miss you Phoebe Snow. One of the most gifted singers (and songwriter) on the USA & the world. Her voice was just an absolute treasure. I get goosebumps every time I listen her singing. Die too soon. :-(
She did more in this performance than the studio would allow her in that massive hit single from years before. What a virtuoso voice. She showed she could do anything with this epic song, and it would still make your heart surge.
This song reminds me of my oldest sister who recently passed away and I wish I could have seen her before she passed and told her I love her.
Phoebe was really truly an artist. Very underrated.
Sorry for your loss....
So very sorry for your loss 🌹🕊
Thank u you soo much for the kind words. This song when it comes on I think if 1976 and Yucca valley and the home I was actually born in where Barbara was quite the 1st born
I don’t mean that bad I mean she had the personality traits of the ones on the book birth order. She also had few that had me and my
older sister laughing to this day as She told us that female friend of hers was not gonna be allowed at her birthday party and we both said to her but she won’t get any cake and ice cream and she said F her. She’s gonna not get any. Me and my and sister still laugh about it.
Mesmerizing. Such a talented lady. No other lady musician in the past 30 years can compare.
What a great tune by Miss Snow. They just don't make tunes like this anymore.
July 17: Happy birthday Phoebe Snow (1950-2011) R.I.P. God bless
LOVE THIS SONG ..BRINGS BACK FOND MEMORIES...
I fell in love with this song in 1973 the 1st time I heard it.
It takes me back, and, totally, blows me away **************************
Who's up for a new Hit TV Show..
"America used to have Talent" ?
Now we have Taylor Swift, et al. Cookie cutter singers singing cookie cutter songs.
😂😂😂😂
Or maybe Disenfranchised Americans Have Talent!
😂😂 definitely me
Perfect!!!
Will always remind me of my mother who played this album over and over when I was little in the 70s. Love you mom.
What an inspirational woman. A talent which we shall forever miss.
RIP Phoebe. Those of us still living shall forever remember your grace you blessed us with.
She’s AMAZING and SO missed. Thank you Phoebe for all the decades of listening beauty❤️🎶
The most beautiful song/version EVER!
Lol...Well if she got pregnant he def would be, bruh!
@Michael Asay yes!
I am missing you today Phoebe.
