I like all the mods you've done but particularly the last one. Your solution on how to make the Alpinist green dial ride again is a nice one. Good job on all of them!
I'm not into modding personally. Other than changing a strap/bracelet, it does not interest me, but I totally understand why others are into it. Some great watches here, definitely to be proud of. I do love the original Seiko 5's Inc the much maligned movement. Tough as nails and I never had an issue with them. Great video 👍
Thanks Chris! I have worked with a couple ETA movements and they were more delicate than the Seiko ones, my small sample size, but the Japanese really know how to turn these things out!
@@WatchCrunchOfficial Good question Max. Selling It part funded my Oris Divers Sixty Five but it was one of those watches that I would catch myself just staring at and think "how long have you been looking at that dial?" The same went for the Oris really and that has gone now. I am strictly a one watch collector and not at all rich so as I move up the old watch has to go to help pay for the new one. I've got a 1st generation Planet Ocean now and I think I'm done for a while, its hard to think what could beat seeing that Omega Seamaster on the dial.
Just wanna share that I grew up with Seiko watches in the sixties. The seiko quartz was pretty GD when i got it for my college years. However, I just got tired of changing the batteries over time n switch to an automatic seiko 5 twice which wasn't as accurate n died when I drop it. No more Seiko for me. Looking for watch models that appreciate over time now. Enjoy your videos n making plans to take up basic watchmaking in the near future. Cheers.
Keep it up man! Love your vids came across the explorer mod then this. I also have a small wrist and just recently started to look for the parts for my own SKX013 build which I will ask my local watch maker to help assemble :D
Wow, That BABYFLIEGER is amazing, congratulations!!! I would love to mod one myself. Could you share the links to the components to replicate it, please? I have checked the websites you recommended but I couldn't find those parts. Thank you!!
I'm really debating buying an SNKK87 to mod into an Alpinist homage. Did you reuse the stock SNKK87 crown for the NH35 upgrade and if so, how did you remove the crown? (Thank you!)
@@WatchCrunchOfficial Haha good to know thanks!!! I might try putting it in hot water to see if it might destabilize whatever thread-binder Seiko used on the crown and stem... 😂 wish me luck!
“The connections that we build with these things that accompany us on our wrists”
Loving your content, man, keep it up!
You bet Jordan! Glad you feel likewise 👍
“However, I don’t remember my last dog fight”. Man that made me laugh 😂😂
Haha, glad you appreciate my humor 😆

You have serious talent. No coincidence you are smart and very articulate.
Thanks for your content.
Thanks Luke! Just messing about, you don't get to see the disasters 😉
It's very inspiring, specially the Alpinist you put back to live. Now I'm ready to jumping into the rabbit hole
Jump in, splash around! It's a good time 😉
the maen dial looks very sharp and really ties the diver together. one of my favorite seiko 5 mods is the Nautilida you did in another video
Thanks, I actually just changed the hand on the maen to a red tipped one (i.e. Bond seamaster 300). Adds a nice pop
Loved your previous mod videos, thanks for sharing even more mod fun!
Thanks for continuing to tune in and share your opinions Alvin, appreciate you!
I really love these mods! Inspired to do a small thin flieger from this!
well done bro, congrats on yet another greatmasterpiece. you are becoming grandmaster!
Thanks man, still am amateurs trying to hone the craft. Thanks for all the music/sound pointers 🙏🤓
@@WatchCrunchOfficial YOURE THE GOAT BRO. I bow at your excellence.
Max, all 3 are stunning! Great work 🔥🔥🔥 The Alpinist has really inspired me for a future project
Keep up the videos, we appreciate your effort and editing. Unreal!
Thanks for the encouragement! Working on another one right now 😊
The Franken Smurf is outstanding!
Thanks!!
That Alpinist mod is amazing, but the smurf is perfection!
Appreciate that Daniel... modding is always a fulfilling adventure.

Love that little flieger!!!
It's adorably unpretentious 👍
That Alpinist mod is stunning Max, I had the SARB017 a while back and loved it. If you ever want to move it on 😀
Thanks Morgan! You are first in line for the watch 😊 Curious, why did you sell the SARB017?

@@morganthedruid1 that's admirable discretion and a great journey so far. Curious what the future holds for your watch story 🤔
Loved all 3 brother!
Thanks again Miguel!
Love this case
Great MOD . I only own three Seikos but think they look great and respect the brand.
"only 3 seikos" is something a watchaholic says 😆
@HAUTE ONES lmao.... I have 8 tudors and only two actual BB
You are correct and I need to sell some of my collection:)
Really good stuff. That alpinist 👌
Thank you Nicolas! That dial is 😍
Nicely done!
Thank you Cecil!
Nice work man I like your taste.
Appreciate that buddy 😉

Modding is so much fun, glad you found the hobby! I have an SKX vid coming up!
i'd love the first one...

If you like the baby Flieger, check out the Sinn 556A which it is based on.
Yep, had one, great watch 👍
The flieger is superb ! Could you tell me where you got the dial, mate?
It was so long ago, but I would check places like dagaz and Lucius atelier 🤔
do you trim the alpinist dial ? since it is originally 30mm dial ... how do you fit it into snkl09
Yes, it got the dremel treatment and just it's like pips in the process
@@WatchCrunchOfficial what is the end size of the dial ? 29.5 / 29 or 28.5 mm ???
Where is the baby flieger dial from please?
I think that was lucius atelier, but unfortunately sold out at last check
The Baby Flieger is soo nice. How can i build it? Do you sell a copy?
Hey Marc, check the description for parts. It's not terribly hard, watch some of my other build videos for a step-by-step.
I would say Seiko mods are the WRX of the watch world... Ya... I like that better 😂
I'm really debating buying an SNKK87 to mod into an Alpinist homage. Did you reuse the stock SNKK87 crown for the NH35 upgrade and if so, how did you remove the crown? (Thank you!)
Grab the stem with pliers, twist and pray it doesn't snap 😅

hello bro, can the seiko alpinist dial be applied to the seiko 5 snkl41 k1?
It needed to be shaved down a bit along the edges with a Dremel tool
@@WatchCrunchOfficial ok, thanks for the advice bro
Funnily enough there's now a 38mm Alpinist with a 4R35, so you basically just made the same watch except cheaper haha
LOL guess Seiko got tipped off😉
NOOOIIICCEEE! 😎
Thanks 👍
