Oh I had no idea! Nicely done, and apologies for that! I've been out of the many forums for quite some time now so this was a design I had also put together a while ago for a client. I suppose good designs just get themselves made somehow haha. Edit* Comment pinned up!
I've eyed this dial on Ali and these hands as well... And I haven't been on any forums. I probably wouldn't have thought of the black & gold for the day/date. But there's really only 3 choices on a watch like this: Dial, hands, case. You're bound to run into similar if not the same designs here and there. (I suppose strap as well... I probably would have gone NATO style strap on this one... dark blue or the classic army green. Or maybe a brown leather strap.)
Is there anywhere I can find this watch case to purchase? I have never seen a 38mm case for a Seiko movement with these sharp edges, brushed sides, and polished bezel. If anyone knows, I would be grateful!
Love the watch! Though I never can get used to the X Prospex logo (but that's a gripe with Seiko). You, I tip my hat off to you, young squire, are one of the best in the business!
Yeah, that's a really nice GADA 😎 Too small for my wrists, but I'd 100% wear that in a 42mm as a daily! Love the little touches like the day/date wheel colouring, just nailed it 👌🏼
Is there a bigger version of this face available that would fit in a big diver case? At least 44mm? My daily is a Casio GXW-56 and it doesn't feel big to me.
Hey great mod! If I am correct those hands are from a V157 movement, are they compatible with NH movement? I saw in the comments that you added 3 o’clock dial feet, How did you do it? Thanks in advance! And please keep showing us beautiful mods!
Do they sell magnifying crystals? I'm new to watch wearing and I've seen alot of watches with the Cyclopse crystal for the date, but for a farsighted person it would be worlds better if the magnification over the date just covered the whole face.
My wrist size is 7.33 “ and i can wear larger watches than 38mm, i have come to prefer 37 - 39mm. I feel i can enjoy a watch with alot great details and polished surfaces which gives it pop, on a watch which because it doesn’t dominate the wrist flies under the radar a bit. The public can see that i have watch on but i can enjoy the details.
I concur with you on this. I have a 7.5" wrist size and as I age, I come to realize that the watch will stand out better if its not overwhelmingly large. I come from the Seiko Turtle, Samurai etc and now, preferring non-divers and in particular dressier watches. I dont think i would go all the way down to 36mm though, i think 38mm will be real sweet!
i love your videos and you inspired me to start my own channel (will start next month probably) but i want to ask.. is there any difference between movements by tmi and sii? :)
You should give prominent credit to the original Reddit post that first created this combination about a year ago, and is called the “Overlander”. Since then, numerous people have copied this, making it a very popular mod.
@@20cent Here’s why people believe he may have copied this without credit. Lookup the SRPD31, as that’s where the dial is from. That watch was released 4 years ago, as a 43mm field watch with an inner rotating compass dial. The hands are also very different. So to go from that SRPD31 to this “Overlander” requires the following changes: 1. Choosing an hour and minute hands with a center black section. Plus the hour hand is unusual with how fat and stubby it is. 2. Choosing a relatively unique second hand, being black and orange, with a rectangular lume pip on the opposite side. 3. Choosing to take this combination and putting it into a small oyster case. So is it possible that Lume Shot is unaware of how popular this mod has been over the past year, and just hit upon the exact same combination? Yes, it’s possible. But is it likely? No.
I do wish there were more modding options for the Miyota 9015, which is frankly what Seiko should be using in a lot of their watches in the $500+ price point. This is the type of build that I would want to commission - what a modern Seiko SHOULD be. But I fear the options would be too limited, or it would be too expensive to make.
WoW very honored to have been a source of inspiration for your mod! Nice execution, as we would expect 🥂

I think it was your mod I saw on Instagram and absolutely loved it. Believe me, your watch has been the source of inspiration to many of us. :)

I’d have been a lot more direct - they copied you and tried to take the credit.
Wow. This is the watch i never knew i had to have! Simple, and yet absolutely stunning.
You were my 1st intro to modding, and I've enjoyed the hobby so much. Thank you, my Korean brother. 😊
Stunning!! I love it!! Great build! ❤❤
Thank you!! 😊

Lovely work and a truly excellent every day watch. One question: why 100m water resist, but 20bar ?
Absolutely love it. Personally, would swap it for a US bracelet, but really love the dial and layout.
ever since the " blood moon watch " you made i been a big fan of your mods ,beautiful works of Art! greetings again from upstate new york
Just wondering if the case is rated for 10bar or 20. The engraving and dial seem to conflict each other.
Great to see you again Erick
thank you!
Nice one. Looks a bit like my favorite Seiko 5 daily, the SNZG13 and my SNKE61 had a baby.
Where did you get that dial? I've seen some on AliExpress, but I can't imagine you got that one there. I need this build in my life!
Love the watch!
Though I never can get used to the X Prospex logo (but that's a gripe with Seiko).

Whoa! Very nice - beautiful custom!
Thanks!
Absolutely stunning! Would you mind sharing what kit you used to re-lume the hands to match the dial?
Awesome
I’m still rocking the watch you made for me.
I get a lot of compliments and questions on the air planes in my constant non stop travels.
This is the best Seiko mod I’ve ever seen. It’s all in the attention to detail.
thank you
Really nice mod! I've something like this in mind for a while. Where did you get the case? Also, can you provide a parts list for this mod?
Yeah, that's a really nice GADA 😎
Too small for my wrists, but I'd 100% wear that in a 42mm as a daily!
Love the little touches like the day/date wheel colouring, just nailed it 👌🏼
Thank you! A 40 or even 42mm is possible!
Great watch. Where can we find this case? Cheers.
looks comfy! Wearable and legible build! Maybe 557 stems 😅
Lume shot video with lunch - that will do nicely 😊
hope it was a good one!
What a great watch! Where did you get an NHx holder that could fit on the hand press?
I made this one!
👍👍 LOVELY! Would love to see you attempt a Seiko Pogue homage!!!
I have low attention span so might have missed it, what movement are u using on this good looking watch? Do you do any mods with the 6r35 movement?
This one uses the NH35 to be budget friendly. A 6r35 could've easily been used here, and I've done many builds for customers with the 6r35!
As ever perfect..but I do prefer it when you talk us through your build it feels human and very reassuring and good fun😊
Thank you, I'll be sure to mix things up :)
Did you have to cut the dial feet on the dial for the 3 o’clock position?
Cut with new feet installed!
I love this watch. It's exactly the watch I have in my mind!!! ❤
... and such a watch should be quartz :D
Awesome BUild !!!!!I cannot find this dial anywhere!!!! any leads
Very good job ❤
Lovely but was the Lume enhanced by the recoat ?
Slightly! I'd say the lume matches the dial in terms of strength and appearance
Another great watch love my Seiko's
Thank you, they're so much fun :)

can definitely be made!

Watch looks awesome! Can you make one exactly like that but with a blue dial??
Possibly!
I've received movements with blue stems and with clear stems. Is there any difference?
Lovely watch mod..love the lume color...where i can buy it??

First! I’m on top any LumeShot video! The OG is back!
thanks for the support!
You always amaze!
Thank you!
Great work and beautiful videography. 322 stems.
Thanks!
holy looks amazing bro
Stunning!
Hi Lume Shot, what a beautiful piece!!! I really like it. How much does it cost a customized project like this one?
Any chance to get the dial hands and case references please?
WOW! That looks amazing, I want one 😁
198 stems
Thanks!
Keep-up bro u're GOAT
haha, thank you!
Love the seconds hand what seconds hand is that if I may ask?
Can this particular watch be assembled in size 40 mm? In that case I would like to buy it.
Absolutely, a 40mm version can be made.
damn this is perfect. im afraid the price might be too high for me. but well done. guess this is explorer based case, such a beauty
Canceled watching another TH-cam when this popped up. Welcome back!
thanks so much!
@@LumeShot you may have built my 60th birthday present. Lol

998 stems. Great one!
What is the name of the watch
I haven't named this one in particular!
259 stems. Love your work!
Love it 💯
I have this watch and would love the a red mod with red sapphire crystal (ar coating inside the watch glass)..how much?

Does the dial say water resistant to 20 bar and the back say 100 meter (10) bar.

This watch is so damn beautiful.
(I'm guessing 398 crown stems)
what does vintage mean in this case ? the patina like colour ?
Yup!
How much would something like this run someone like me? Same idea tbh with a slight caveat to be worn more fitting for a suit?👀

Give us a break, next time we have to give credit to whoever will match a certain model of pants with a jacket we like too?

10 bar or 20 bar. Gotta say this looks neat
Wath kind of oc perfs can a ryzen 7 5700x3d achieve?
I can't help thinking that this would benefit from a crystal with red A/R?
I fux with this watch real heavy
Its GS case 38mm ?
so how much for this? Everyone wants to know
please email me for ordering details!
👍👍👍👍👍
Nice watch. But I can’t use anything below 40mm. I have 20cm wrist circumference. I guess 475 stems!
OMG Perfect

What's the name of the laser engraver model?
Nice .
no idea, 630 crown stems?
Sweet
Although wrist size can pull off larger watches
336?
38mm its a no go for me sadly.
688 crown stems
20 bar but 100m resist?
Big oversight. But also expected since it’s not in an ISO case.
stay tuned for the next one 😉

999 stems
99
There is no 3 on the dial so it is not perfect
