you can but you are wasting your money and not getting any better performance. if anything slightly worse. It doesnt have high enough compression for that octane.
ive had my stihl fs94r for 8 months now, i like almost everything about it. The throttle wheel, light-weight, power, great fir commercial use. But every time I warm up my engine its a pain in the butt
It is a little slow to warm up. a lot of times I will manually run the choke on and off with hand for the first 10 seconds that seems to kick it in gear faster you could need a slight adjustment but it operating normally
@@thesmithsfamily1901 I would not switch it to the flexible if you look at the steel FC edges that are straight shaft, they run a solid shaft not a flex cable
I just don’t know much about the quality of oil that they are mixing in. And how well do they get feedback on internal failures that are caused by oil related issues when they do not deal anything with repairs or warranty? That’s my only concern of some of these fuels that are not specifically related to an OEM
So why is it that I can not buy a maintenance kit for this unit? (Stihl FS 94R) no where, not at my dealers, not from Amazon, not from Stihl…no where. What am I missing?
Put the 111rx gear head and the hollow drive shaft on the 94r and now you have the old 85rx best trimmer ever why does Stihl not listen 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
That’s exactly what I did 4 years ago. Bought the 94R first, then shortly after the 111RX for the purpose of making a 94RX and a 111 multi tool. I put the 111’s lighter gear head on the 94, but chose to keep the 94’s cable drive shaft as the 111’s hollow ds wobbled a little. I then bought a solid ds for the 111, and now run the 94’s metal gear head as a blade cutter, or with an edger head or a hedge trimmer. You can do anything the 111 Kombi can do, it’s just a different method of changing the heads, and I also have the best trimmer that Stihl won’t make, the 94RX. Four years later they still run perfectly.
Pull the gearbox off and check if you have a cable or shaft drive. I have seen some FS 94s come with a shaft and I have seen many come with a cable. If you’re going to run a blade, you need to have a solid steel shaft to do so properly.
I’ll never love another trimmer more than my fs94r❤
What do like about it the best
@@carlsmowerandsaw powerful and lightweight. Restringing it is a breeze and I love the throttle wheel. It’s a very dependable piece of equipment!
Awesome 💪💪 looking string trimmer. Can i use, 93 octane fuel for him 🤔🤔.
He would love that!!

Can I run the FS94R with FCS-KM edger attachment with the rigid drive shaft?
@@thesmithsfamily1901 you sure can.
@@carlsmowerandsaw Thank you. Just confirming as the Stihl manual states to swap it for the flexible drive shaft.

I use Truefuel in all my equipment, starts first pull every pull. Do you see any issues with that?

That’s odd. I can’t say. We stock all those parts individually at our shop.
Hi my friend is that Black diamond 095
Vortex Mr. Harry
Thanks Josh
So this guy is putting .095 line in the .095 slot and putting the other string in the .105 slot? Is that accidental or on purpose?
Intentional it holds fine

That is a nice way to set it up.

Sound is very low?
Sorry. I tested and it sounded on point but I will work on it

Mine started for 30 secs and just turned off
That’s not right
Let it run a bit longer on half choke
Stihl i love zero turn 9000 s
How does it cut?
105 to 91r
There is no 105 in the US. Except the HT105
new 250r 2024
