UPDATE: I'm starting to get used to the FS 240R. I'm now having an easier time getting it started. Putting the line spool on is still a pain for me. This thing has an INSANE amount of power! I also like that it doesn't burn my right forearm when it's resting against the motor housing. The Husqvarna 128LD really cooks my forearm. I'm very happy with my purchase of this string trimmer!
I’m 17 man. Was just whacking the yard and cleaning up behind our fence lines in some overgrown ditches. when i tell ya i was being stupid not wearing eye protection. i got a little rock or some moss or some yucky thing in my eye and i had to pick it out. painful.
Well funny story I lost my 240r in a devoice and now I was able to get a 131r and I just don't feel it's anything close to the 240r but that is all I could afford since the price of all went up was the 131 a bad choice it was the most expensive one I could get at the time?
Yessir, I bought mine 2nd hand for $140..it seems like it’s a pretty fair machine for med/thick brush btw does anyone know how to lubricate/grease the weed eater head? I appreciate any thank you
Hey Carl, great video man. Is it normal for the stihl brush blade to have a slight delay in spinning? Brand new FS240R with stihl brush blade. Also, with the standard line that comes with, will the line spin right away when trigger is pressed? First time using the machine
I bought a used FS 240 and the head does not have a screw to remove to grease the gear box. Seller says he never replaced the head. Do you know if early editions were missing this and if so, to grease them?
Works great . . . if you ever get the line spool on, and get it to start! Glad I still have my lower-powered Husqvarna.

Great trimmer 😁 never take the guard off it also slows the rpm 2 taps of the trimmer head drops the rpm from 10000 to 5500 or so nice video Josh

The acceleration is definitely slower and delayed when throttling up with a blade.
What do you think about fs235 ?

There was a short period of time that Stihl used a non serviceable gearbox

@@user-cj8kg2xf5c it means you’re generally not going to get grease in it. When it fails 500+ hours it will fail.
