- Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, our Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN drivers, tested the new Giulia GTA and GTAm at the famous Balocco Proving Ground, where all Alfa Romeo sports cars have undergone development and testing since the ‘60s. Both drivers worked closely with the Alfa Romeo and Sauber Engineering teams, focusing on specific technical suggestions to optimize aerodynamics and handling.

Combined fuel consumption (l/100 km): 12.5 (WLTP)| Combined CO2 emissions (g/km) 270 (WLPT) Provisional values based on preliminary estimates, the final approval could differ. Values calculated on the basis of the measurement/correlation method referring to the WLTP cycle as per Regulation EU 2018/1832. The values indicated for vehicle range are measured by the manufacturer on pre-approval tests, and may be subject to modification depending upon the defenitive homologation. Figures shown are for comparability purposes. Only compare the range with other cars tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load.

@@nicomarino96 They're still managed by completely different people. Alfa Romeo is based in Switzerland and are controlled by the same people who ran the Sauber F1 team whereas Ferrari is based in Italy (obviously).

It's larger, with stickier tyres and with a wing, compared to the previous. Balocco is not a fast, long curves' track.

THAT´S like a Alfa Romeo MUST BE! A Italian Stallion, a Dream of an Alfa ROmeo! RWD + 6 Cyl. is the TRADITION & INOVATION what is a MUST HAVE in an Alfa Romeo! And what is also sooo great; It is an Sedan/Limousine, in combination with high performence.. THAT´s the Class where Alfa Romeo was the founder back in the 1960´s. The BMW M3/4, the C63 or/& the understeering Audi RS4/6 are only copies of this class what was founded by Alfa Romeo with the Giulia! And these copies are all not nearly with that beauty in styling+design, that performence, sound & those amazing history of the Giulia and Alfa Romeo...
Alfa Romeo did an PERFECT JOB with the Giulia QV & even also with this GTA Version, too.
I´m an Auto Stylist & Designer. I´m also restoring classic cars witt my own hands & i´m driving different cars, also different Alfas in Motorsports..Mostly at windy, curvy roads in mountain environment. And I´ve to say that the Alfa Romeo Giula has also soo great older cars for that like the Alfa Romeo 156. A car that is the best car with FWD and for ordinary, i hate FWD but in this case the 156 ruled all his contrahends in the WTCC were it was very close to the stock 156. I customized/tuned/modified many Alfa 156 in the yers since 2004. And this car has a soo great Motorsport history. The 156 is one of the most successful Touring cars ever built with the BMW E30. And when the 1960 Giulia is the grandfather/or even mother of the present Giulia, the Alfa 156 is the father/or even mother of the Giulia. We have to say that the Alfa Romeo Busso/Arese V6 Engine series is the best gasoline 6 Cyl. engione ever built... That says not only me, that says the prices for that position he won. And the 156 with the Busso V6 in the great 24 Valve Version like the 2.5 V6 24V or even 3.2 V6 24V GTA is one of a koind, a perfect touring car when you do only some little modifications in the suspenion like a coilover kit with 17 or 18 inch rinms with 225/40 R18 tyres or up. Then you´ve the BEST, NOT UNDERSTEERING FWD car in this class. It has higher corner speeds, a amazing handling and steering wihat gives this car a so great over all performence that it is the best of this class. For ordinary this place was for the E36 M3. But the big thing ist, that the 156 with that littke modifications rules the BMW E36 M3 in his place ant takes the 1st place. I´ve to tell abouit because so many Auto Test papers told so much false, really not right things again the 156 and that wasn´t or isn´t OK. That´s a big lie and a shame for that Auto"TEST" newspapers or something else like that...I´ve to tell about that, because the Giulia has a so successful, beautiful and amazing "mother", what has a false press...I´ve to tell about, because in many tests the "testers" talk about Alfa Romeo and the Giula, that Alfa is making a, - the 1st great car and all cars in this class before made by Alfa Romeo aren´t worth to tell about....And that isn´t right, that´s a so big lie or even a not right press about Alfa Romeo and his great history! The Alfa Romeo 156 ruled the Auto press, he won "The car of the Year 1998, the Engine of the year (some!) and it brought the 1st high performence usable Diesel Engine with the 2.5 JTD back in 1997, what was also the 1st Commonrail Diesel engine in serial production, too. And the 2.4 JTD is a really bulletproove engine series. I had MANY Alfa 156 2.4 JTD & 2.4 JTD-M 20V by my own or sawn with over 500.000-800.000 km´s on the 1st engine with the 1st clutch, 1st gearbox, 1st Turbocharger, whitout any oil consuption problems or something else...all was driven with not many care of it and used hard for streetracing, hill climp and track / track day use. The 2.4 JTD is not only a bulletprove Engine series, it´s an high performence Diesel, it was the 1st high performence Diesel with the option for Track/Motorsport use back then. And because it´s an inline 5 Cyl. Engine, it has also a great, a amazing sound too however that´s an Diesel! It´s not an boring 4 Cyl.! It´s an 5 Cyl., so this things are the big ones of it. All 3.0 Liter Diesel 6 cyl. cars of this time aera wasn´t that fast and also solid like the 2.4 with the intelligent 5-Cy, engine Designe. And if it is the 20 Valve DOHC Version it´s an real italian Diesel Muscle in the 156! There is no 3.0 Liter 6Cyl. Diesel car on the market what is that fast and has that good less fuel consumption. Because you´ve really only 4.5L/100km & on the Track there is no chance to get it over 8.8L/100km. It´s phenomenal! Also the design of the 2-overhead-camshafts at the 20 Valve 2.4 series because they´re driven by 2 gears mounted on the camshafts. So the timing belt has only one gear for drive the both camshafts. Because they´re spining against, there is a better engine performence too.
And i´ve not told abouth the Styling of the Alfa Romeo 156, what ruled so big that it was a trendsetter until now. If you take a look at the Alfa Romeo 156 today you can´t see that age of over 23 years. It was Auto Stylist Da Silvers best car he ever made and his key for his successful Auto Styling career.
YES, the present Alfa Romeo Giulia QV and GTA has so amazing mother(s) ans we´ve to tell about the world, that Alfa Romeo made so great cars, not only this amazing, and best car of the whole Auto Industry in this class.... Alfa Romeo has tradition, and tradition is to use the thinks like the great history of the Busso/Arese V6 Engine, so for the present and future of Alfa Romeo importand to have the V6 Cyl. Engine Series like done with the Giulia QV/GTA... But there is a must have of the V6 in the lower trim levels, too... I think that´s importand to do for Alfa Romeo. And it´s also so importand for Alfa Romeo that they´re still use this or even RWD Platform(S)! I hope there will come the Giulietta, a smaller car also as a RWD, and if Alfa Romeo will rule this class they´ve to use this V6 of the Giulia QV/GTA in this class too. That was so importand to do for Alfa Romeo because so they could show what they can do! And I´m for sure that this RWD V6 using new Giulietta will rule the class and will be the greatest hit for Alfa Romeo in selling numbers too... Because especially younger or mid age people would buy that Giulietta. They will storm the Auto dealers for a giulietta with V6 and RWD!
