1.) You won't need to remove the floor mats to stow the 2nd row seats and...
2.) There's are buttons near the bottom of both B pillars (being the front seats) that move the front seats up and forward to make folding the 2nd row into the floor a lot easier. The same button then puts the seats back to their original positions when you're done.

Our 2017 Pacifica Limited has been an excellent vehicle. 👍🏼 I won’t argue Toyota reliability, Honda has always been good as well, but I have read of a decent amount of issues with the 2018+ Odyssey. Reliability aside, I think the Pacifica is a FAR better vehicle inside and out.

When I was growing up, my father was a Chrysler guy and when I started buying cars myself, Chrysler was my first choice but that has changed. I don't even think I would consider anything they make with maybe the exception of a Jeep Wrangler, but that really isn't practical for me. Our last straw was the Chrysler 200 my wife got about 6 years ago. The transmission was garbage and it finally locked up on her when she stopped for gas one day. It was replaced under warranty, but we traded it on a Toyota Highlander a few months after the transmission issue.

There are currently four minivans on sale in the USA... the Pacifica, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Kia Sedona. (couldn't find the 2021 Sedona's owners manual, but the 2020 is effectively the same vehicle)
From the 2021 Odyssey's owner's manual: " if you do allow a small child or
infant to ride in the front passenger’s seat, the system is designed to automatically deactivate the front passenger’s airbag."
From the 2021 Sienna's owner's manual: "Your vehicle is equipped with a front passenger occupant
classification system. This system detects the conditions of the front passenger seat and activates or deactivates the front passenger airbag and seat cushion airbag in the front passenger side."
From the 2020 Sedona's owner's manual: "your vehicle is equipped with an occupant detection system in the front passenger's seat. The occupant detection system detects the presence of a passenger in the front passenger's seat and will turn off the front passenger's air bag under certain conditions."
From the 2021 Pacifica's owner's manual: The OCS will NOT prevent deployment of the
Passenger Advanced Front Air Bag. The OCS may reduce the inflation rate of the Passenger Advanced Front Air Bag" and says "Unoccupied seat: Reduced-power deployment"
We're talking about a 2021 model vehicle here, and it WON'T EVEN TURN OFF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG FOR AN INFANT OR EMPTY SEAT? Every other minivan has had this safety feature for over a decade! The 2002 Honda Odyssey would shut off the passenger airbag if there wasn't sufficient weight in the seat, but a Chrysler minivan from nearly TWO DECADES LATER won't! I wouldn't even buy a car without a passenger airbag shut off sensor if I were looking for a $5,000 used car, so what makes Chrysler think they can sell a $50,000 MINIVAN without this? It passes federal safety standards which require the airbag to be suppressed or for "low risk deployment", but pretty much every other manufacturer has decided that airbags should be shut off for an infant or empty seat, both to reduce the risk of injury to infants and small children and to reduce vehicle damage in the event of a frontal crash with no passenger.
