Recently drove a Pacifica Limited from Dallas to Tampa Bay and back for my sisters wedding, it was awesome. I loved that thing, so comfortable, what a great road trip van.

Micah is right to gush about the Pacifica's AWD system. It is excellent. Typical truck, large suv guy we just rented the Pacifica for our week here in Florida and I'm all smiles and love driving it. even not caring that it's a "mini van" really awesome vehicle.
My Dad just got one and it's the best minivan we've had far as looks, versatility, power and sportiness! Probably the coolest minivan on the market today and best part ours is AWD as well with that S Package but in all black.
The S Appearance package pricing is a bit deceptive. While it's listed as an approx $300 add-on, it requires adding the painted rims at about $1000. So total price of adding the S Package is about $1300.
Is it weird that as a single guy with zero use for a minivan I somehow want one of these? It must be those screaming red seats. Also, maybe Evie might want one of those instead of the Bronco now (being its so good in snow)?
If I were single I'd probably have one..lol I always thought they were great and comfortable as hell both to drive and ride in. My wife refuses to even look at minivans and we only have one kid so SUV it is.
@@Mildern I actually know a single woman in our little gang of friends who bought a Honda Odyssey. We all asked her why she did and she said she was making sure she would always be invited when the gang went out to eat or the movies or road trips. We did end up using her van quite a lot! lol
I bought my wife a 2018 three years ago. It''s oceam blue, andhas the S package with the 20 inch wheels. It's beautiful and is actually fun to drive. It does not feel like you're driving a mini van. It has been an excellent vehicle. Will hang onto it for another couple years then buy an AWD Pacifica.
Nice review! My 3 kids are all in their 20's now and I just bought myself a low mileage 2019 S package Pacifica. I always kind of wanted a minivan but my wife refused haha. I freaking love this thing and I already have over 1000 miles on it in less than 2 weeks. I bought it primarily to serve as a personal cargo van and secondarily as a people hauler when we are all together. The stow and go is awesome and the van is super comfortable and easy to drive (even sporty). I've owned literally 30+ vehicles in my life mostly pickup trucks, SUV's and sports cars (I traded a subaru Sti for the van) and this is right at the top of my list for overall package. I haven't put a mile on my F250 truck since I bought the van despite making several trips to box stores for full sheets of plywood and other supplies plus moving large furniture. The only thing I will trade this van for down the road will be the AWD version.
All 3 versions of Pacifica has something other competitors don’t have, which is amazing, 2 wheel drive version has stow and go, all wheel drive version obviously is good when driving on snow, and plug in hybrid is very fuel efficient, and you also get tax credits. I like the fact that Pacifica has wireless carplay which is also a feature other competitors don’t have, also it has vacuum(copied from Honda?) and hands free rear sliding door.(copied from Sienna?)
This just put me over the edge we're planning on getting a new/used car and I was really liking the Tahoe but this mini van has been catching my eye for the past month now I'm sold
The first, last, and only Chrysler product I've ever owned was a 1963 Dodge Dart with the famous "Slant 6" engine that got me through college and made a number of cross country trips then and for a few years after. The only minivan I've ever owned was a Mazda "MPV" with AWD (the only AWD minivan available in the early 1990's.) My wife and I didn't need a minivan but it was a lightly used vehicle owned by a friend and it seemed like a versatile vehicle that would be good for ski trips to the Cascade mountains. Its most outstanding trait was saving my wife's and my lives by getting us out of deep snow on a logging road ditch many miles from nowhere. I doubt I could have extracted it without AWD. Some years later when I suggested we look at another minivan my wife vetoed the idea. She didn't want to be seen as a soccer mom and that meant an SUV was the vehicle for her. Now we're a family of two adults, a teenage daughter and a big dog. There's no minivan in our future. We just don't need that much space and my wife hasn't changed her mind about them. Still, I retain a fondness for their versatility especially now that AWD has finally been reintroduced to the a couple of the few remaining minivans on the market. If I were in the market I'd look seriously at the Pacifica. As the video demonstrates it appears to be a fine choice for winter trips to the mountains. Its innovative interior design is extremely versatile. And if I needed a vehicle for six to eight passengers on a regular basis, even for longer trips, the Pacifica seems to be an especially strong contender.
The van is nice but I’m sitting here thinking about when you first brought Evie into your reviews, she was seemingly camera shy and now she’s seemed to warm up well. Keep up the good family reviews!
No kids but one dog and I just bought a 23 Touring L with S trim. Stow n Go sold me as I needed cargo space and way to tow a pop up. Trucks were expensive and mpg was blah. V6 has plenty of grunt and tech inside is great. I am the ultimate gray man once I add a baby on board placard. Reliability after warranty expires is my only concern. Brakes could be less squishy but coming from a 22 Corsair.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the Pacifica. I like its styling, but I'm not crazy about the front end redesign. I thought the original front end looked very cool ...almost futuristic. Your daughter's facial expressions were fun to watch. In fact, at 17:08 I thought she looked like her mommy 😂
As she points out, the touchscreen is difficult to operate when driving. A common problem nowadays. I want to know when automobile makers are going to incorporate ergonomics in designs. When will they realize that physical buttons for some functions is easier and safer?
I'd have a Pacifica over some SUVs. Minivans really are the best utility vehicles around. I moved most of my household goods using my mom's Grand Caravan.
With an open differential, traction control is actually your friend as each wheel is controlled individually and when you brake one wheel on an open differential, the full torque on that differential transfers to the other side, where you presumably have more traction.
I'm in the twilight years with a 2005 T & C with 225,000 miles. Still Rides great but getting rusted out (Michigan) and minimal maintenance over the years. ;)
Not unlike a Ram truck, they seem really well thought out but I hesitate based on engine dependability and transmission dependability. And, the van is the thoughtful mans pickup truck. All the space needed yet great for daily driving. Highly underrated.
Earlier 9-spd autos had some issues, and the 3.6 with the engine module controller, but since then I've heard no issues about either (this would've been about 2011/2012).
This would be so good for camping trips especially if it rains like crazy. Never had a leaky tent but being able to sleep in the van would be a good plan B. Hiding the seats makes storage so much easier.
Which minivan you think is more reliable and what about the price too replace the sienna hybrid battery when it goes bad will that factor in on your choice?
I had the Cherokee Limited and LOVED it. When my wife and I start having kids the Pacifica Limited S is at the top of the list. The comfort, styling, surprising performance, practicality, and price are at a sweet spot. Chrysler Jeep Dodge have the best interiors in the market.
I'm still loving my 2016 Town and Country with stow n go. I use the seat storage for packing luggage on family trips. I would never buy a van again without stow and go.
Hi I am living in an Mitsubishi Outlander that I have fitted out with solar electricity and a kitchen and even a 32 inch flat screen. It is perfect though I think the extra space of a Chrysler would be useful. For one thing I travel with a four man tent for storage and the Chrysler Pacifica would probably allow me to go tent less. I think I will visit Chrysler and see what a trade in will cost me.
I drove one as a rental for a week when the Pacifica first came out a few years back. I have to say it drove nice and everything was very functional. I actually liked it a lot. But I was worried the long term reliability of Chrysler products so I ended up buying a Sienna in 2019 when it was time to replace my minivan.
My first 2011 Town and Country had 178,000 on it before someone hit it and totaled it. The only things I had to replace that wasn't a "consumable part" was the alternator and one parking sensor. My second 2011 Town and Country had 164,000 miles on it when I traded it in for a Pacifica Limited S. It only needed a front brake caliper when I replaced the brakes. Both were trouble free. My 2021 now has just 27,000 on it, and it's been perfect. There is more hype than truth about Chrysler's reliability. I've owned many Mopars and never had major issues.
I have a Outback and a Odyssey... I also have 4 kids. The Subaru is our choice of car when it snows and rains, but now that my twins will start school, we will trade in the Outback for our 2nd minivan. Looks like this will replace it. I need AWD
I have owned a toyota sienna for years. But the 2021 model went to a 4 cyl which gives it great mpg but really hurts the power. So now it is time to change out and I'm looking at the 6 cyl odyssey or the Pacifica. The AWD is a big pull in the Pacifica.
Great review. I have been driving Mini vans for 30 years. Wouldn't buy anything else. IMO the Pacfica is actually a great looking vehicle. They think I'm nuts but I think they are sporty looking. I call mine a '7 Passenger sports car'
great vid. very informative. overall though which did you like better, the pacifica or sienna? i like toyota, but you can't beat the stow n' go seating...uuuggghhh....decisions decisions....
Surprised that there was so little love for the ‘21 Sienna. Easily comes out on top with MPG, and also has AWD. I’ll probably test drive the Pacifica, but I’m having a hard time with CR’s review of its reliability.
Im torn between the two. We have a 2020 camry xse, but need a van. The Pacifica is hands down better equipped and much better awd system. The sienna is more rear assist not awd. Plus the sienna is easily 45k for a nice xle or xse. You can get a loaded limited Pacifica for less with rebates. The long term reliability is my worry.
@@jeepindave5464 your worry about reliability is legitimate. Check car complaints websites and the Pacifica has tons of trouble. If you plan to drive it past manufacturers warranty, get the Toyota. Either an AWD 2020 on clearance, or certified pre-owned. The 2018’s should be coming off-lease soon and you can get a good deal on those; I recommend XLE or Limited trim.
@@jeepindave5464 yeah they really hit a home run with that 2021 interior. Real shame they didn’t keep the V6 as an option at least. Keep in mind the 2021 2nd row seats don’t come out anymore. It’s a big deal for some.
The seatbelt for the bear was, really, cute. And, your Attention Vampire in the back seat was extra cute in this one. I'd subscribe to get you to that 100K mark, but I'm, already, subscribed. Oh, well.
Thanks for this great review.... I thought maybe the S package would be too dark inside with the seats, dash, carpet... all being black. But the Red S seats are a nice looking accent. And the interior looks a like more gray, not so dark black,,, is that true?! I like it.
Awesome video and lol at the end! I’d personally still get the Sedona, but of those 3, definitely the Pacifica. I also think everyone forgets the Nissan Quest exists!😸😸
I like the Pacifica. Im torn between it and the sienna. I need awd and the electric awd sienna doesn't have the best traction system, but i love the 36 mpg. Downside is the sienna 10k more for a package with dvd player and still nowhere the features and convenience of the Pacifica. Vacuum, 360 camera, stow and go, etc. I just worry about the Pacifica long term after the warranty is over.
Hey Micah, I already know what she's going to buy, I'm more than 90% sure on this! It's a perplexing choice but I vote all new Mitsubishi Outlander. It keeps reminding me of a half price Lincoln Nautilus haha. But hey the 35000 price on that Pacifica my make it worth liking something big and practical around

I love this MINIVAN!
There, I said it! LOL
Great review as always, Micah.
Your family is lovely.
YOU GUYS SHOULD GET A 2021 SUBARU ASCENT AS AN EVIE DRIVES REVIEW!!! 💚💛💚💛
Love it when you and Evie do the reviews... too funny
I'm still loving my 2016 Town and Country with stow n go. I use the seat storage for packing luggage on family trips. I would never buy a van again without stow and go.
Awesome review. I'm trying to find a review on the pacifica S vs. the Pinnacle.
The stow and go seats are great when we go on scuba trips. We have never had to decide what to take or leave because of space.
Got over 100,000 on my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, and running like new. I plan to buy another one when I replace this one.
I just subbed to your channel just because of your wife how fun she is when interacting with your goofyness, good review, out of the ordinary ;-)
AWD is essential in my book in minivans
Micahhhhhhhh, you guys are just fantastic! Another fantastic review! Can't wait to see what's next?!?!
That Acura cap is pretty dope.
Intriguing. I like the color combination! And the armrest test was awesome. I. Ow use this test when checking cars out. It really works!!! Thanks!
Dude! When are we going to see another flying video? Whenever you have chance. It would be great. Love those videos.👊🏻👍🏻
Nice looking van! I just have FCA concerns.
I love how the van looks and the style plus the 178 in bakers is a nice and a good freeway another place for good shots is heart park😊
Great review. I have been driving Mini vans for 30 years. Wouldn't buy anything else. IMO the Pacfica is actually a great looking vehicle. They think I'm nuts but I think they are sporty looking. I call mine a '7 Passenger sports car'
If i were to buy a minivan, it would be the Pacifica hands down. Cheers!
I am not usually a mini van type of gal but omg this is so cool
great vid. very informative. overall though which did you like better, the pacifica or sienna? i like toyota, but you can't beat the stow n' go seating...uuuggghhh....decisions decisions....
Throw the Hellcat motor in this thing and it would be 🔥🔥🔥
the turning circle .... ? anti roll bars .... ?
Surprised that there was so little love for the ‘21 Sienna. Easily comes out on top with MPG, and also has AWD. I’ll probably test drive the Pacifica, but I’m having a hard time with CR’s review of its reliability.
Hybrid AWD systems don't perform as well as traditional AWD systems. I'd be interested in seeing this compared to the previous gen Sienna AWD V6.
@@andyf8347 i rented a 2020 and liked it. My wife hates the dash layout on the previous model. 🙄
@@jeepindave5464 yeah they really hit a home run with that 2021 interior. Real shame they didn’t keep the V6 as an option at least. Keep in mind the 2021 2nd row seats don’t come out anymore. It’s a big deal for some.
Thanks we try are best at WAP Windsor Ontario Canada where its built can you go into deeper snow go play .
Now, all of a sudden, I want a wife, kids, and this mini-van!!!
Are these vans reliable, at least when under warranty? Too many complaints on the internet but hoping for some feedback. Thank you
Best looking minivan in segment
Very good review - and you guys are a great team!
I love this vehicle 1000% because of AWD and the sto n go feature!
178 looks good for rolling shots! Looks like I need to take a drive to the northeast side of Bako.
More funny faces from your daughter in your videos please! 🤪
Hand free Liftgate with a kick under Is standard by limited no extra package
The seatbelt for the bear was, really, cute. And, your Attention Vampire in the back seat was extra cute in this one. What I refer to as an Attention Vampire is a child, usually a cute little girl, whose personality assesses how much attention is available in the vicinity and swells to absorb every last iota of it. These Family Reviews are fun, but Sensi missed one use of "Badass." Oh, well, three out of four is better than your average NASCAR race. Keep 'em coming.
P.S. I'd subscribe to get you to that 100K mark, but I'm, already, subscribed. Oh, well.
I just bought a 2021 hybrid. It’s really nice.
If the Pacifica could tow about 8000 lbs it would truly be the best family vehicle ever.
Get working on it FCA.
What should Evie drive! Love the Pacifica, but prefer the plug in hybrid
Thanks for this great review.... I thought maybe the S package would be too dark inside with the seats, dash, carpet... all being black. But the Red S seats are a nice looking accent. And the interior looks a like more gray, not so dark black,,, is that true?! I like it.
When’s the Red S option going to hitting the lots?? Don’t see any anywhere yet.
We got one with the S package last month, but I didn’t see the red either! I’d have scooped that up right away!
Fun review. Not a mini van person, but it’s as nice as it gets in my opinion.
love the look, 100% better than the Toyota Sienna look inside and out, and sad Toyota no longer has the V6, so Plus for the Pacifica AWD
Have limited 2017. Only reason I want this is the AWD.
picking mine up tomorrow!!!
Early congrats!
None of the above until Honda gets AWD!!!!!! Nice job!!
