It's not about having a job. It's about having a job that makes enough money to make a living. Trade jobs are the way to go. College doesn't garentee a job or sufficient experience.
Have you thought of heading somewhere where it's easy to become a cab driver? You've got to do long hours to make decent cash but you only have to put up with the customers for a few minutes at a time and you haven't got the boss breathing down your neck. You could save up some cash for truck school.
Should of stayed in reno. Starting pay at redwood materials is like 28 per hr. Its allowed to bicycle from where you camped like a 45 min bike ride to there.
I know that feeling when you want to do stuff but you have no energy. The burnout is real. Also, dont let others put you down. I know how the boomer generation is. They never account for inflation and how people in the workforce have to deal with seniors whose social secuity doesnt provide them enough money to survive or when highschoolers start looking for jobs. There's so much you have to compete with for average jobs.
Are you for real? Where is your family? You look very fresh and able bodied on the surface. So I'm trying to figure out why you don't get a just get a job as a laborer or utility technician. They offer on the job training where I eneded up and they paid for my Class A CDL. That's what I do and I got a house. Your still young, doesn't look like you doing any drugs. So what gives? If your hoboing for fun, that's great. See the country. I don't mind sending you some loose change, But I just don't get your back story? Peace be with you and all due respect. I see elderly people struggling these days. I wonder if it's because all the resources and SSI are being a Sucked up by the one who take advantage of the system. I've seen it with 20 something year olds I work with and make over 40k a year only to collect food stamps which they end up selling. Anyway, I don't get the impression that your on SSI or Food Stamps. You look like your in perfect health and though no city job is gonna start you off at more than 17 bucks an hour, that's a lot more than the 9 bucks an hour I started off with 17 years ago. I'm just wondering what gives? And not my business so this can be a rhetorical question, but do you suffer from severe mental illness including Psychosis? I have mental illness, but I have managed to work and buy a house. Luckily, no psychotic symptoms. Anyway, I'm just curious. I know it sucks being in your 20s and 30s and realizing the only open door is on the bottom floor. But best to get in there now, becUse it doesn't take long to get up there after 5 or 10 years. You seem too be very intelligent, clean and personable. Unless you have rich parents and some Jack Kerouac thing going, I'm very curious?
He mentions his mom sent him a "donation" in one of his prior videos but he wasn't happy with her at that time or it wasn't enough money to win him over.
@acheartist That's sad. I haven't watched enough of his videos, but he looks very clean and groomed and un sunburned to be the real deal. Maybe he read On The Road by Jack Kerouac and felt that was a good idea? My advice, after 32, 35ish is that it's really important to quit making excuses and get to work. I suffer from depression and I've had circumstances that triggered full-blown paranoia requiring two inpatient hospitalizations in the puzzle factory. I have been working for my city as a laborer and cdl truck driver since 2007. I have a mortgage on a small house by the sea and couldn't be happier. I am salty because I had several friends who were diagnosed with depression in their 20s and jumped on Social Security. Now, I do have a third friend who did that also, but he is a legit case. I had a friend from Shanghai who had full blown Schizophrenia. She got messages from the radio and television, for example. It was sad because she was so smart. She had a masters degree in traffic engineering and was going for another masters so her student visa wouldn't run out, and she'd have to go back to China. I enjoyed at least one of this guys videos but I'm trying to figure out if he is just doing the hobo thing to try and get youtube famous or if he really does suffer from some disability or he is under 30 and is just trying to figure himself out by reinventing himself? I'm sure he could get a job where I work so long as he has a GED and driver's license. He just looks very clean and groomed and not sunburned to hell to be really out in the elements especially in Houston if he is still there and didn't drown? He looks like he sleeps indoors from the one video I saw. All the power to him. But I am questioning if he is being genuine? Does he talk about severe mental illness in any of his videos. He certainly doesn't look like he has anything severe, physical, or mental 🤔. He better just watch out for anyone in a VW Bug named Ted is my best advice. And a legit hobo needs to appreciate his mom for even being there for him. He should be the one being there for her at his age. Unless she was abusive to him growing up. I certainly saw that when I was a kid in NY. An Italian mom. Mean and crazy af to her kids.

Walmart sells good tents for $30. Houston has very little oportunities. Airport is always hiring, they have high turnover. Whenever you can, learn about stocks, dividends, and compound interest. Learn about small business. The way people become wealthy is by 1 Solve a problem. 2 Produce something of value. 3 Build something over time (7-10 years). 4 Convince people to give you money. (To make money ask: What matters to others? What motivates others?) I'd also recommend learning engineering or computer science with how to do programming. Start with learning Python if you can buy a laptop. Keep it dry and secure. Make sure you get enough nutrients like vitamins and minerals. Stay away from unatural sugars. Being in the weather you'll likely get fatigued and dehydrated so drink some pedialite and a bunch of water. Tonic water (contains quinine) is amazing for stomach issues. In hot weather, have a hand fan handy. Also, take good care of your teeth, cavities are not good for your health because it contains zink. That's my advice. Best of luck, keep making videos. 👍

Nothing changes if nothing changes. Look in the mirror and take stock of yourself, and have a real conversation with yourself instead of blaming the boss, the shelter, the rain etc.
I'd agree with you, but at the same time more and more people are becoming homeless. It's not entirely a person's fault, I agree they can 'do better', but it's more of a systemic problem with the economy. Don't believe me? Seniors are going back to work and highschoolers are looking for jobs so people have to compete with a whole lot more other people in the workplace for jobs. Surely at your age you already should know this. Could you imagine your retirement and social security not being enough to live on because of inflation. Theres also the issue of businesses being consolidated by other larger businesses or moving elsewhere for cheaper hires so they can make more money. Now there's the real problem.
@@paulblart5358 I've been homeless. I asked for help and got kicked in the teeth. It's always been hard to get a job in ones chosen profession. It was hard for me because all of the laid off aerospace engineers were taking the entry level IT jobs. Not a thing you mentioned has anything to do with this kids predicament. He's a lazy bum, who f'ed off his 20's. He had a job working at construction sites, as an unskilled laborer. He never took any of that time to learn skills on the job so he could move forward and make better money. He doesn't listen to anybody, and continues to be a slouch. There's probably a good reason why his dad disowned him. He's indicative of millennials and zoomers. Companies have moved their factories overseas because lefty scums along with their union pals have made it so hard to do business in this country. It's not about having a job. It's about having a job that makes enough money to make a living. Trade jobs are the way to go. College doesn't garentee a job or sufficient experience.
Those red spots are probably chiggers or red bugs…
Have you thought of heading somewhere where it's easy to become a cab driver? You've got to do long hours to make decent cash but you only have to put up with the customers for a few minutes at a time and you haven't got the boss breathing down your neck. You could save up some cash for truck school.
Should of stayed in reno. Starting pay at redwood materials is like 28 per hr. Its allowed to bicycle from where you camped like a 45 min bike ride to there.

Hello, hey Swift are hiring, they pay your training and give a sign up bonus and stuff.. 7:02
I wonder if it's because all the resources and SSI are being a
Sucked up by the one who take advantage of the system.
@@erikmolnar6585 Lots of the old time greats ran the rails. Johnny Cash, Robert Mitchum, Merle Haggard especially during the Great Depression. I never heard ANY complaints other than they were glad they were able to turn their lives around. I guess it is just a totally different era. Hard times are returning and I don't see the mental fortitude required to endure it or be helpful to others....
Get a job in a TV Newsroom as a political analyst.
Also even I have gotten lots of concerts if your around vail I have camping in steamboat this weekend and a concert but try steamboat vail aspen ski resorts apply for shitty jobs take the 20 an hour plus tips and be a bellman or something the rustic places like your look as a valet or bell man just goon the short and long beard hairs to a shape!
You got to start your own business bro, working for someone else always sucks. Mexicans come over here and do it everyday, you can too. All you got to do is work hard and do what noone else wants to do. I started a pest control business, getting rats and critters out of houses, hard dirty work. No one tells me what to do though. You can do it too bro.
Don’t listen to the bad folks ! Yea you don’t need these bad jobs goodwill and those are for losers you have a goal come to the Rocky’s! Go on indeed take a ski resort job and get a free hotel room for 5 months ! And paid 22-30 an hour even a valet or something need you here! They like your hat and beard if you groom up your perfect to come up here I been up here doing gigs but it’s slow til it snows now

Maybe you should learn how to camp first. Js
So many of these "you're a bum,no one wants to work anymore" comments are hilariosly sad. Tools....haha
@ 12:06 if that's the area you were leaving to get to katy that kept kicking you out, it makes sense. That part of Houston sucks, houstonians don't really consider that Houston.
Maybe he has experience truck driving y'all I know I wouldn't be qualified nor would I easily get a job truck driving
No one wants to work anymore. There are a lot of good jobs. Goodwill would not be my first pick. You can do better than that.
"Lots of good jobs" but you apply left and right and no one contacts you. Can't call or walk-in cause it's all online. It's not "easy" to get a job, especially a good one.
@@thegreatsiberianitch I am in Northwest Indiana. Good union jobs with good benefits, but you need to show up every day, and have good attendance. You may have to work 3rd shift, or Saturday and SUndays. Steel mills, new battery plant, food manufacturing, several new Amazon facilities, health care etc. Lots of jobs. The people that are getting hired right now are lazy, and don't know what work is. They can't make it to work every day or on time. They last a few months and get terminated. I have been there 19 years and have only missed about 10 days of work. THere is a lot of OT, so it's up to you if you want to make more money to buy a nice car or a house etc. I work with young people in a bakery, and the good workers are driving Tesla's Vettes, BMW"S, big trucks, etc. But they are willing to work and show up. THat is about 2 in 10 new employees. Nothing is free. You can live on the street. I have no problems with that, but I cannot support you.
No snake problems?

If you want to live the traveling troubadour life, maybe consider writing and only performing original music. Give up the cover tunes. That’s work in the Woody Guthrie style. If you are going to live Henry David Thoreau aesthetic, at least do it for arts sake. Just advise from an old man. Good luck.
Stop the mind fck and go to a Trucking Co.and learn Something.❤

i think you found chiggers in georgetown.
Chiggers are bugs so small that you need a magnifying glass to spot them. Scientists call these creatures "trombiculid mites" because they're from a family of mites called Neotrombicula autumnalis. But they have a bunch of nicknames. In North America, they're usually called chiggers. In Britain, they're known as harvest mites. They can also be called berry bugs, bush-mites, red bugs, or scrub-itch mites.
In Mississippi they call them “chiggers” but it’s with an N and not CH. 🤷🏾
@@pc-yx9uh and we protect ourselves from chiggers by dusting the bottom half of our bodies with SULFUR DUST. #chiggers
Every job is going to suck in some form or fashion. Manager/bosses suck at every job. They're not your friend. You have zero job skills, what do you expect? You can't even set up a tent/tarp right and you don't seem to want to learn how to. You got booted out of that shelter because you broke the f'ing rules. They don't have to be nice about it. Grow up. You chose this life. Do you think being a truck driver is going to be easy...I got news for you. No job is easy.
I can be somewhat sympathetic if you made some effort. You're 30. You've never attempted to learn some marketable job skills, or a trade. You're just a slouch. I don't really care if people give you donations...that's their business. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Look in the mirror and take stock of yourself, and have a real conversation with yourself instead of blaming the boss, the shelter, the rain etc.
But but but "That would be annoying!"
I had to put out over a 100 resumes, got a few interviews, before I got my first IT job making jack, working at Dick Dastardly's house of clones.
Social security was never meant to be something a senior can live off of. It was meant as a supplement.
