    Good morning!
My morning routine started when I turned 50 and I have developed sacred morning routine. The first thing I do drink a glass of room temperature water and 1 cup of coffee.
Then I sit quietly and reflect what I could have done better the day before and make a declaration for that day I am about to face. I write in my journal and I have kept a journal since I was ,little kid back in Korea. I write what I am grateful for rather that's a thing or people. I do not take anything for granted! That's including my health .
I also work out every morning. Walk my bernese mountain dog after my workout. I read 20 minutes and I listen to faith building pod cast or motivational pod cast (you are one of mine) all this is done before 8 am !!!!! I work 6 days a week but my morning routine is a must. I have always wanted to start my very own you tube channel but didnt because of fear but I just started it!! Now working on my book!!!! Just because some one told me that no one will ever read my book!!! My greatest inspiration is when someone said no!! Love your pod cast!!! Thank you!!!

I’m just catching this wave. I’m glad I clicked on this video. I feel like I’m at my lowest point in life and I’ve been trying to find direction. Bad breakup, lost my housing and started a new job in a field I’ve never been in. It’s an uncomfortable feeling when you lose so consistently. That starting the day off with positivity and getting into better habits is my new jump start. I will bring positivity into the darkest days from now on. I will realize my true potential and reach new levels. I love the ideas and advice the two of you have. Thank you for doing this Lewis. You’ve given me the first steps I needed to work on the 2.0 version of myself.

OH, SO TRUE. When I ran preparing for marathons, despite the reality that my body was not made to run them, one of the most lasting lessons and impressions was how whatever I ate on Thursday would impact my long runs on Saturdays. The length of the run/exercise...the level of depth of the exercise is directly proportionate to the energy required and, thus, the food intake hours preceding the event. God Bless & Godspeed.

@@mordekaishekelbergiv.4211 you should take enough vitamin C to cover the amount you consume. Some people consume a lot more than others. Most animals make their own vitamin C around 20 to 40 mg/Kg. We have to get it in our food or tablets.

For in that seemingly unseen reality, in that break, in that space things do happen even though more difficult for us to grasp.

I disagree that nobody saw the 2008 real estate burst coming. I saw it when I sold my house in 2004. I mean it was unprecedented that the value of my house doubled in 8 years. And the buyers of my house were given a loan of 105% of the purchase price. Then I read that people had taken out balloon mortgages. Then, I was offered a "no doc" loan to purchase a condo. I mean the red flags were HUGE.

However, many people do not have that much flexibility in the morning and therefore to meditate, make bed, workout, take a class online etc all before work isn’t happening! I’d have to get up at 4:00 and would never get close to the 7-8 of sleep we need. The beginning of this podcast just makes me feel very frustrated and stressed out that I can’t get all that done in the morning. I really like Lewis, and I hope that he touches on this in the remainder of this podcast.

Thank you for saying this @Anne-Maree Williams. I had to fast forward past his sleep bit because of what you say. Every person who promotes sleep seems to think that everyone has a choice in the matter. As for the other commenters, I have no patience for people who have a pat answer for something they know nothing about--they know nothing about sleep, they know nothing about you and they know nothing about me. Sleep can be more complicated than getting enough steps in or eating right and changing your mind. That all has helped me but it hasn't cured me--sleep is my achilles heel. From one insomniac to another, thank you @Anne-Maree Williams.

I gave up all this self-optimization years ago. My morning routine is that I wake up between 8.30 and 9, and then I slowly make a coffee or a matcha latte. Turn the computer on as I´m still working from home and start working. Shower and getting dressed comes later, usually until noontime. I have no higher career goals, the current job pays well and I´m saving more than 70% of my income so that I can retire early soon. I can´t wait to finally throw my alarm clock out of the window. I wish us all a much more relaxed life, we had it hard enough.

I've spent most of my life in and out of prison; about 24 years. I just did a 6 year term and towards the end of that term my life changed thanks to Lewis Howes. We were given tablets and one function was the ability to download pod cast. I was drawn to Lewis's podcast. And it helped to make me realize what I needed to change. I didnt need to attack the drug abuse. I needed to focus on my personal development. If i could become a better person, more efficient, healthier, and more considerate, the list goes on; then the drug abuse would fall away like dead skin. Because the drug abuse was a result not the cause.
Lewis said 'You are best positioned to serve the person you once were" and that simple statement has lead me on a path to help others as i grow myself.
Thanks you Lewis, I hope you will be able to see what I become, and that I will help others like me to change and become the best they can be

Shovel a little snow when the sun comes up , clean an airbnb and home for meal number one. Meat and greens. Out to the farm for a change of pace with my dogs and some hard physical work . Visit the neighbours, watch the football game , eat and drink with my favorite guy and home at 10 pm to wind down and enjoy another great video, warm bath with a candle and crash. That's my day.

I do shift work starting at 5-5:30 am 6 days a week. I have to force myself to wake up at 4 to keep a good routine. It’s easy to fall from grace and press the snooze button. I heard Lewis say he take scooter to work everyday and it inspired me to start riding my bike to work everyday. It’s cool because I have a brand new Toyota tacoma 2020 and I’m just as happy riding my bike to work then I am in my new truck. I just started drinking a green smoothie with spinach avocado parsley and blue berries add water and ice and honestly I instantly felt good when on 4-5 hours of sleep last night but tonight I’m shooting dor 7-8 hours of sleep , but it’s hard when you wake up at 4 am so I just shoot for 8 but antthing over 6 I feel pretty decent. But I’m delaying coffee for about 2-3 hours while I wake up and I enjoy the coffee a lot more now. Great video. Another think I like to do is wash my face, shave, and use aftershave I feel like it’s a form of self love and a good habit. Also sunscreen for face that way you have a nice glow to your face and feel ready for the day.
