    Awesome! That paint job on the part looks very OEM in a good way, and peace of mind from checking inside= priceless. Nice!

      Hight temp paint, Luckily it's the same shade black as rest of the engine. It was £50 for teh casing £10 for teh gasket and about half a day of messing about...But if I didn't do it I would be constantly thinking about it when riding through Europe... - last thing I want my mind to be occupied with!

    It didn't show how you got cover off. Did you pry it off or hit it with a mallett

    I used a mallett, I'm replacing it anyway. But what kind of locktite?? I have 685 or 385 in my head

      non permanent one. I'd use the medium strength if any...

    Pig of a job, it didn't help having to wait 3 weeks for the 3 bolts that hold the stator 😕

    Nice video. I also have a V max full power. I notice on yours that the V boost valve on startup does not get powered, are you sure its a V boosted model?

      oh yes, as soon it hit 6k rpm you could feel it!

      They all have the vboost that's y they r called VMAX duh

    are there different lengths of bolts in the lid or are all the same size? if so, which hole are the bigger ones in thnx

      oh I'm pretty sure there were different size bolts, but I can't remember from the top of my head. Check in the manual, or just write it down when you take them out.
