@@darenanderson7930 😂 it took me a couple days to realize it was him as well. I always just play straight through so I never look at the tracklist AND them mfs sound damn near identical lol
The perfect example of Nore’s loyalty vs respect question was the situation with Pharrell and Justin Timberlake. While Pharrell may have respected Justin, his loyalty was with the Clipse. Since the Clipse wasn’t being let out of their deal, Pharrell made the decision not to produce any other artists music on Jive. Big difference between respect and loyalty. They’re not the same.
Missy definitely needs to be on here and share her story…Push is definitely a level headed person in the game so calm stay in his lane, not competing against anyone in the game and just bring his self throughout it all

Hearing Push talk about how important it is to balance the scale of production and rapping is so cool to me. As someone who goes in listening for the sonics first, his albums are always on point. My ears and brain hears beat first, and the fact that he always picks great beats is AMAZING. And I love how his rapping never ever gets drowned out by the production. His cadence is so pure, it’s easier on the ears and it’s easier to pick apart the lyricism. Another masterpiece by Pusha T!
And some of us Day 1's just appreciate the artists who haven't had to switch up on who they are or their flow. Pusha's flow itself stood the test of time, and many of us day 1's knew then that it would!
I completely agree with Push, no need to be fake cool with ppl for the sake of appearances. Kanye and Drake seem to really need that, but when you're not equally yoked with someone, there's no need to force it.
I think the levels you wanna reach have everything to do with your collaborations. Pusha feels it within himself he don’t need those but honestly he played his position but I feel like he played it small. He’s a strong contender in todays hip hop as a lyricist. But I like his lane
@@Thisguyecm I think he looks at himself like a niche artist. Like a small boutique store with specialized items as opposed to a department store with everything for everybody, and that's what he wants. That particular kind of success doesn't require him to collaborate with people he has no chemistry with or fondness for.
Can not express how much I love Pusha T. This King is Classy. His voice, lyricism, taste and aura is different. 💎 This episode I enjoyed truly. Thank you King Push, Legend. Drink Champs this was amazing. Thank you. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤❤❤❤✨✨✨✨
This entire interview is why I’ve been a loyal Pusha T fan for 20 years. He’s banned from Canada and he still doesn’t give a fuck!!!! No making up, no industry bullshit … he’s a REAL one 💯
Drake is Canadas “coolest” moment in history and they can’t have this guy selling out shows in Canada embarrassing, basically, “Canada” especially when the “goons” tried to attack him and got fucked up and stabbed in their own country.
This guy has 3 classics under his belt and the new album sounds great today so only time will tell. He deserves to be in the conversation as one of the best to ever rap.
Pusha T is a legend. He‘s in the perfect position unlike any other artist in history. He has brotherly relationships with two of arguably the best producers in music history being Pharrell and Kanye. What many of artists pay millions of dollars for he‘s gifted because of respect and admiration. 🏆
A legend. I been a fan of this dude every since I heard Grindin. This man and his brother just brought the cleanest but grimiest energy into hip hop and left a young impressionable youth stunned. I would never not like this guys raps or persona. He’s knows what he does and is meticulous w it. Shout out to King Push!
Looking forward to seeing this interview, especially being from the DMV. I will never forget seeing him in local 7/11 a few years back and him speaking w/an admirer of his. She asked him if she can rap for him. He actually allowed her to bring it as he looks on with enthusiasm and delight. I looked on in appreciation of this young man taking that time to do that. Masterful.
This was one of the best solo Drink Champs interviews ever. Pusha T and his infinity to Mobb Deep was everything plus he’s the first rapper I heard mention the Mid Atlantic region which starts in NC and going north into Virginia.
This is really the time where the culture has to understand that next to hiphop being super commercial, pop and youth driven it has also reached the level that jazz has and pusha is really tappin into that and opening up that part of the culture which is the most important in my opinion
You said a lot here and I would agree if Pusha were commercially successful. He's not. He isn't bridging gaps because his music doesn't sell to a cross section of the public.
@@devindobson7064 yeah thats what i meant by "the culture has to understand" which implies the audience, the sales and ultimately perception of hiphop and what it can still become...there has to be another level of cultivation and consumption. But actually i believe his numbers are doing quite well so that might just be happening
Definitely a fan of both Drake and Push, but I appreciate Push’ sincerity and realness. If he’s not rocking with someone, he’s not rocking with them, period. There’s obviously something that happened behind the scenes, where he felt extremely disrespected & the public is just going to have to respect his judgement and trust the fact that he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing. Reasons why he’s gotten so far in his career 🙌🏼 Definitely a quality I can respect and appreciate 💯 Hoping they can come to some type of mutual respect one day 🙏🏼
Pusha T carries himself very well in this interview. I can see why he's successful besides being nice on the mic. I always wondered why Malice doesn't rap as often as he once did but now I know. DRINK CHAMPS MAKE SOME NOISE!
Its good to see that im not the only one who thinks pusha isnt the artist hes portrayed to be by fans online. Numbers dont lie man. Rapping and being a great artist are two different things. Even his own man pharrell checks him at 13 mins of this video. I love the honesty.
Ion know who wake up here is from Va…but I’m from Emporia…small town but not far from the 757 or the 804….it’s just dope to here Pusha up here speaking about our state…it’s dope to hear about NYC…LA…NO…ATL…and so on and so forth….it’s a different pride being from Va and hearing the areas you are familiar with get talked about. Salute💪🏾
Exactly NORE! At first I couldn’t tell who was who on “Pray for you”. Had to listen more than once. Blew my mind how they’re styles, voices and flows are almost mirrored. 🔥🔥🔥 This album has been on repeat for me. Phenomenal job King Push!
Yo best new albums in years. Definitely an instant classic. Now in my top 5 albums of ALL TIME. I listened to it for the first time from front to back then listened to the whole album again. I mean it is spectacular.
Push done pushed himself into top 5 territory with this album and with this interview. He's a chess player. I personally went from hating his music, to envying his persona and talents.
As a professional chef and lover of Hip Hop I don't think people realize when he says " Jean-Georges reservations, I'm dyin' to eat " _ open air _ reference a 2012 interview from to Die For in Vancouver in which the chef speaks openly about many things one of which is the death of a fellow Chef that committed suicide because he didn't get his second Michelin star. Also the phrase "It's to die for" is often used when speaking of food on the Michelin star level. Another fun fact is that it's also one of pushers favorite restaurants he in particularly likes the seafood. I just think it's cool that he's a real foodie and throws these things in there. Just like on Daytona the song infrared he says "we don't do vegetables we welcome the beef and hit you with flat irons"
Great interview. Push is a top tier lyricist. This is one of the better interviews. I like Nore doing the interview without being drunk. My man be losing his chain of thought and asking the same question 15 times when he on that yak. .
Pusha T is one of the few rappers from the Golden Era of Hip Hop that has reinvented his self. Maybe only him Fat Joe Snoop Dogg Nas Jay Z and few others Old school Hip Hop icons.
King Push is one of the few Drink Champs I’ll watch the full 3+ hours. He’s so self aware and speaks with such clarity. Not that daddy issue Drake bullshit
Push giving drake ammunition for album right before the summer. Push is dope, but drake is calculated and I enjoy the the back and forth musically between the two.
Pusha is the only person I know that I messed with lyrically since I was a kid & now I’m a grown man & he is still doing it, maybe even on a higher level. he only gets better

The breakdown of “Call My Bluff” was so damn dope. My favorite song by far. Push is a whole ass legend. Praying for a Clipse album 🙏🏾
This entire interview is why I’ve been a loyal Pusha T fan for 20 years. He’s banned from Canada and he still doesn’t give a fuck!!!! No making up, no industry bullshit … he’s a REAL one 💯
Why’s he banned from Canada? Hardly over Drake is it?
@@barry4649 I’m not sure. It was mentioned in this interview. But if he is, he totally DOES NOT CARE. I love to see his attitude towards it!
Damn he really banned from Canada?
@@phatboyjpbj8164 It was mentioned im the interview but im not sure
Drake is Canadas “coolest” moment in history and they can’t have this guy selling out shows in Canada embarrassing, basically, “Canada” especially when the “goons” tried to attack him and got fucked up and stabbed in their own country.
This guy has 3 classics under his belt and the new album sounds great today so only time will tell. He deserves to be in the conversation as one of the best to ever rap.
I’m new to Pusha, It’s Almost Dry, Daytona, and what’s the other classic I need to listen to

Pusha is really one of the most authentic personalities in hip hop… I’m tryn kick it w bro seem cool ash 😂😂
RIP Sean Price
Pusha T is a legend. He‘s in the perfect position unlike any other artist in history. He has brotherly relationships with two of arguably the best producers in music history being Pharrell and Kanye. What many of artists pay millions of dollars for he‘s gifted because of respect and admiration. 🏆
That nigga overrated and know pays him attention unless he talking bout drake or wayne
Well said ....
No artist in history?Hov had Kanye, Just Blaze, Pharrell & Timbaland in his back pocket lol
More than any artist in history? Pump the brakes and do some research
he not a legend. yall be getting way too excited
Pusha T a Living Legend .. give this man his flowers today
Always will and have supported this dude... knew his brother before all the fame as well as Pharrel and Chad...LEGENDS of the 757
Neck and Wrist, Rock n Roll and I pray for you....I listen to those tracks everyday...The Album is Haaaaattt
He’s So VA and I love everything about it.
Pusha has brotherly relationships with jay z, Kanye and Pharrell the most influential people in the Hip hop game
I don't know about Jay-Z, but with Kanye and Pharrell is accurate.
This show just makes me smile. Love our culture, our people. 👑
This the one 💯
Same feeling. I love it.
Nah he nice frfr💯 th-cam.com/video/eDX3DFM0lj8/w-d-xo.html
A legend. I been a fan of this dude every since I heard Grindin. This man and his brother just brought the cleanest but grimiest energy into hip hop and left a young impressionable youth stunned. I would never not like this guys raps or persona. He’s knows what he does and is meticulous w it. Shout out to King Push!
After finally finishing this episode. It is most definitely one I can call my favorite. Push is one of the realest.
Dis the most chilled out drink champs. Speaks of the man
Looking forward to seeing this interview, especially being from the DMV. I will never forget seeing him in local 7/11 a few years back and him speaking w/an admirer of his. She asked him if she can rap for him. He actually allowed her to bring it as he looks on with enthusiasm and delight. I looked on in appreciation of this young man taking that time to do that. Masterful.
Pusha new album is flawless. Open Air, Call my Bluff - “we only in this game to be LeBrons”…I felt that
Let The Smokers Shine is tough....and the way Malice closed out the album was perfect
Open air is tough
Just that good ol’ 757 vibe. Salute to the home team #VA
This was one of the best solo Drink Champs interviews ever. Pusha T and his infinity to Mobb Deep was everything plus he’s the first rapper I heard mention the Mid Atlantic region which starts in NC and going north into Virginia.
I just seen Pusha T in concert this weekend. He deserves all his flowers.
This is really the time where the culture has to understand that next to hiphop being super commercial, pop and youth driven it has also reached the level that jazz has and pusha is really tappin into that and opening up that part of the culture which is the most important in my opinion
BIG FACTS!
@@brooklynmedina7676 Ok, you got it.

Drug Dealer’s Anonymous is arguably one of his top 5 verses EVER. If not the best verse. My opinion don’t kill me
Push ain’t tell one lie!! He dropped back to back classics🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dat part same shit
I’ve been rocking with Pusha T since forever. He’s such a humble guy.
Peace and big ups to Push. That Grinding video was one of the first if not the first video of Norfolk VA hoods. Legendary!!!
The history of Tim DJing for Malice before Push was rapping etc is so fascinating
AS A HIP HOP HEAD MYSELF I ALWAYS RESPECTED PUSHA! HE NEVER CHANGED!!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💯💯
Reasons why he’s gotten so far in his career 🙌🏼 Definitely a quality I can respect and appreciate 💯 Hoping they can come to some type of mutual respect one day 🙏🏼
also as a Drake fan, Pushas album way better than Drakes CLB
Facts! The “I pray for you” song & Malice’s verse had me 😮😳🔥💥🙏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼

Pusha T is so Norfolk, VA. He is slept on just like the city.
Thanks Push for holding it down.
Pusha T carries himself very well in this interview. I can see why he's successful besides being nice on the mic. I always wondered why Malice doesn't rap as often as he once did but now I know. DRINK CHAMPS MAKE SOME NOISE!
@Seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him 🙏🏻

Thoroughly enjoyed this! I don’t listen to Pusha much but I am always blown away when he opens his mouth, he’s a great thinker and a real one. Period!
Yes. Even Push agrees that call my bluff is the hardest record. Song of the year so far to me. 🔥💯
He also said the joint with malice was the best one
The slick Rick flow call my bluff he killed it hands down
Cut from the golden BIGGIE and LOX flow and refined it to pure perfection
Accentuated efforts
Its good to see that im not the only one who thinks pusha isnt the artist hes portrayed to be by fans online. Numbers dont lie man. Rapping and being a great artist are two different things. Even his own man pharrell checks him at 13 mins of this video. I love the honesty.
This album is a masterpiece. Pusha is a legend. And I like the calm cool honest he always speaks with. Always entertaining. 💯
Man I love pushas energy.. the fact he stands behind why he says is what real men do.. VA in the building 🙌🏽

I love how NORE moved along after PUSH praised MOBB!!!! WHAT A BREAD
Exactly NORE! At first I couldn’t tell who was who on “Pray for you”. Had to listen more than once. Blew my mind how they’re styles, voices and flows are almost mirrored. 🔥🔥🔥 This album has been on repeat for me. Phenomenal job King Push!
Same! I had to run it back the first time!
Yo best new albums in years. Definitely an instant classic. Now in my top 5 albums of ALL TIME. I listened to it for the first time from front to back then listened to the whole album again. I mean it is spectacular.
Pusha don't drink or smoke that's why he so precise with his judgements its not clouded from being intoxicated
Push is definitely one of the illest to ever do it a living legend 🤔🐐👑🥶😤🤫🎶🔥💪🏾💯
Push done pushed himself into top 5 territory with this album and with this interview. He's a chess player. I personally went from hating his music, to envying his persona and talents.
As a professional chef and lover of Hip Hop I don't think people realize when he says " Jean-Georges reservations, I'm dyin' to eat " _ open air _
reference a 2012 interview from to Die For in Vancouver in which the chef speaks openly about many things one of which is the death of a fellow Chef that committed suicide because he didn't get his second Michelin star.
My man be losing his chain of thought and asking the same question 15 times when he on that yak. .
Best Hip Hop podcast! All my favorite artists! Can't wait for new Clipse music 🎤🎶🎧
Push looks good! Relaxed and refreshed, unbothered. Def knows his lane, stays in it and dominates
so many gems man, king push really is that guy
I love Push for being a real dude man.
I love Pusha T interviews always RAW and UNCUT. Shoutout to his Manicurist always on point 💅🤗

King Push is one of the few Drink Champs I’ll watch the full 3+ hours. He’s so self aware and speaks with such clarity. Not that daddy issue Drake bullshit
the project is really good might be the album of the year for me its still the best album release to date
You ain’t lyin
This album is classic and will definitely be up for nomination for album of the year.
