Mike Tyson is a very great, very intelligent, very insightful person. If we could be like Mike the world would be a better place. I just love him. And I really think I understand him.
Joe: "If you were born in the times of Alexander the Great you would also be a conqueror?" Mike: "No, I am a conqueror now because I've conquered myself and my demons."
I noticed that, too. I really love Joe, and I don’t want to criticize. But I wish he would have noticed the conversation was begging for the question, ‘how do you reconcile the enlightened mentality you’ve nurtured in the last ten years with the warrior mentality of 20 years ago?’, rather than continuing to try to make it about “the killer is back!” I think he was just overly excited and missed the real story. But it was still good.
Joe keeps trying to reignite the “old Mike” but it’s clear from his first couple of responses that he wants nothing to do with it but Joe keeps on persisting that he’s the “old Mike”. It’s obvious that it makes him uncomfortable and that he doesn’t wanna talk about it. I kind of wish he would stop nagging him about it and stop tryna light that fire.
Mike Tyson is all heart. His path was very different from what a lot of us experience. I super enjoyed listening to him talk, especially about the history stuff.
Super sweetheart ex convict rapist...lest we forget that..or the throwing a woman down a flight of steps..don’t get me wrong, everyone( almost everyone) deserves a second chance, and I like Mike Tyson as far as his movie rules and fighting goes, but I’ll never just give him a pass on rape, domestic assault, and date rape.
Tyson one of best examples on what it means to be successful despite fighting your own temptations, learning the hard way, dealing with other ppl shit, dealing with adversaries, concurring all kinds of obstacles …..AND STILL BE A CHAMPION AS A BOXER AND HUMAN BEING. Rare gem.
Mike was in his prime while I was coming into my own as a teenager becoming an adult. He was the Champ of my time. The hype over an Tyson fight was historical. Everyone got to the point they just started predicting 1st round murder scenes. Even since he has retired he's lead an amazing career and lifestyle. Kudos to you bro, for coming from the gutter to resting upon your throne. We're all blessed to know your story
Sexual energy & anger are high associated with the same ChakRaa. See the animal world for additional, universal proof, so Mike's orgasmic comments make sense.
@@Baddaification I mean sure let's judge the man on something he did over 25 years ago and has been convicted and punished by law. Every neighbor around him, he has to notify them about an incident that happened 25 years ago. Whenever he does ads with kids or around them he has to notify the parents of something he did in the past. The man has already been trialed by law and shown no sign of "re-offence" (which is the whole point of being registered as a sexual offender) in the last 25 years. The fact that by law he has to talk about it so openly even though he did it 25 years ago, shows how even till this day he is paying for his misdeeds; I mean that's all you can really ask, after your punishment don't be reoffender
I think he means to win the fight against jones isn't he's primary goal/aim, it's to just give the boxing community something to look forward to and be hyped about whilst doing it for a good cause in charity.

there's an interview where these other lads tried to call him soft in a sentence and gloss over it. When mike puts his foot down in a convo its time to listen 🤣
Mike Tyson has become Cus D'Amato personified!! Greatness, like Mike Tyson, will always give their progressions to how they attained their abilities through the practice of mentored disciplines and commitment to excellence in any endeavor. His candor and excitement to what he was looking forward to at this moment in his journey is very inspiring. If we take the time to listen and learn we can attain the realm we are intended to achieve.
Like he said talking about conquerors, how fathers wanted there thoughts embodied through there sons. Cus viewed Mike as a son and though teaching him Mike now embodies Cus as a son.
Respect is due for a remarkable man indeed Cus D'Amato. It was some time ago now that I found the training videos and watching them on repeat and being thankful that these recordings were made and still exist , i mean back then the importance, relevance, historical content would not have been thought about , but by eck how blessed are we to have the footage here.......
Young people don't understand what it was like when Mike was in his prime. You'd go to a local bar to watch him fight. You'd have a sip of beer, the appetizers haven't shown up yet, and the fight was over
This is so true. And when The Champ walked down to the ring there was a feeling like some kind of a monster was released from his cage. You knew somebody was gonna get hurt.
Just started a channel where I take trucks into the mountains and bag on em. I just want to make people laugh. And yes Mike is a guy you do not want to get hit by.
Seeing Mike talk to people and size them up while taking no BS and never allowing people to mince his words is awe inspiring. He’s a savage, everybody knows it and he still doesn’t know for sure if he’s worthy of praise. Life is weird.
I think he’s a smart, self aware and brutally honest man who recognizes that he’s in the rare position of not having to put up with anyone else’s BS anymore so he lets them know by his behavior and most respond accordingly. He’s definitely one of my favorite famous people of all time, also a great athlete and champion.
If you watch close Joe is careful only to laugh when he has Mike's permission to laugh. Lol. Any time Mike said something wasn't funny, Joe abruptly stopped laughing. Respect. 😂😅
Holy shit “the twinkle” is the greatest thing I have ever heard. The way he brought it up and how he attempted to back track….fucking gold!!! I love this guy
This must be like a rollercoaster ride of emotions for joe Every single time he gets excited and laughs mike goes I'm serious then it gets scary and serious 😂😂😂😂
But... He is 😂. He’s just so chill it’s easy to forget. Mike used to be a BAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD MAN😰 in many since of the word. Great fighter. Great mind. Great man.🙌🏽
Come a long way from hiding between buildings. Had to make that tough persona to survive early on and got lost for a while. Then through exile learned a lot and obtained directional controlled focus. Hopefully he doesn’t loose it and break again during the fight with Mr. Jones.
Mike is such a complex man. You can just see he’s been to war and walked a thousand miles just to get out! He is excited to fight for a good cause, but you can tell he was afraid to commit 100%. The fighting mentality was a huge ingredient in him losing everything and he thinks perhaps he can lose it all again if he fully commits. It’s a small shade of PTSD! It’s really good to see him test the waters again and be able to control it this time! To have an ego and not let it blaze out of control.
I love how Joes laughing is itching at Mike until he really says no it’s serious. Total change in tone. Mikes voice always tightens when up when he feels emotion. Sciatica is the worst pain a human can experience.
Tyson seems really comfortable here - he usually is tense during interviews. I think it's probably because Rogan knows his stuff and comes across authentically. Tyson hates disingenuous people - and he will always shows it.
I think the best response would have been "I was laughing because it is relatable you know?" And then Joe Rogan would start rambling about monkeys or something I dunno.
Mike: "I really struggle with the thought that I could really hurt someone" Joe: "Oh so you like don't want to hurt someone, you would feel bad." Mike: "No, like its orgasmic sometimes"
There are a ton of documentaries about his life.. Tyson, Fallen Champ: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, Mike Tyson: The Knockout, Champs, Mike Tyson: Beyond the Glory.. I could go on.. but his autobiographical one is the Undisputed Truth.. I believe from 2013/2014, not 100% sure when it was released but it talks about his life growing up and getting into boxing!! Very interesting watch, shows lots of clips I’ve never seen before!! Hope that helps!!

Mike: "No, I am a conqueror now because I've conquered myself and my demons."
...that part.

words of wisdom
Man, he's one of the most unassumingly intelligent people I can think of. Looking forward to fight, but really only cause I love some Mike Tyson.
Joe keeps trying to get him to talk about his warrior mentality and mike wants to talk about finding inner peace.
Have you heard Young Jamie’s rap song??!
🎶 th-cam.com/video/ZK1lN0ijyPs/w-d-xo.html 😂
Joe keeps trying to reignite the “old Mike” but it’s clear from his first couple of responses that he wants nothing to do with it but Joe keeps on persisting that he’s the “old Mike”. It’s obvious that it makes him uncomfortable and that he doesn’t wanna talk about it. I kind of wish he would stop nagging him about it and stop tryna light that fire.
I felt like Joe was trying to motivate him in this interview.....but Tyson uses his inner warrior for good.
I know bro.. you can tell mike was getting frustrated, just talking about the fight.
Mike Tyson is all heart. His path was very different from what a lot of us experience. I super enjoyed listening to him talk, especially about the history stuff.
The fact I get to see a person like Mike Tyson talk about DMT brings a tear to my eye. Everyday is a blessing!
Mike Tyson is quite possibly the most terrifying sweetheart ever
like when a domesticated lion pats you with his paw, you're waiting for him to tear you limb from limb
hahah So facts. How does he do it bro? Why aren't more fighters like him or give off that personality?
Super sweetheart ex convict rapist...lest we forget that..or the throwing a woman down a flight of steps..don’t get me wrong, everyone( almost everyone) deserves a second chance, and I like Mike Tyson as far as his movie rules and fighting goes, but I’ll never just give him a pass on rape, domestic assault, and date rape.
Hahaha, brilliant
yeah hes genuinely a good guy who can become a dangerous monster should he choose

Eloquently put man!
Like he said talking about conquerors, how fathers wanted there thoughts embodied through there sons. Cus viewed Mike as a son and though teaching him Mike now embodies Cus as a son.
I REALLY APPRECIATE HOW YOU ARTICULATED MR. TYSON'S OUTLOOK ON LIFE AS A WHOLE.

Most men have to build themselves up to be "Hard", while Mike Tyson has to tear himself down to be humble.
Come a long way from hiding between buildings. Had to make that tough persona to survive early on and got lost for a while. Then through exile learned a lot and obtained directional controlled focus. Hopefully he doesn’t loose it and break again during the fight with Mr. Jones.
"impossible is nothing to someone that try" WOW! Mike Tyson what a LEGEND! :)
Thnx Joe for this cast! Love it!
