My grandma always said when a child is hungry they will eat. You are doing a wonderful job with your children. No child comes with directions. God gives us wisdom n knowledge how to deal with each child. Blessings to you n your family.
I think it’s great that you’re teaching your boys to be responsible around the house and help with their sisters. They seem very sweet and patient with the little ones.
Same I never like breakfast, also freshly brushed teeth (toothpaste) and orange juice was a huge turn off for me. I was ready for lunch but eat well around dinner time. I had a slower metabolism.
Enjoyed your very natural morning routine vlog. Your oldest son made me laugh with his sleepy “ peace” hand signal as he looked into the camera. I always had a make up your bed routine with my kids from the time they were little. Same with my bed. I can’t stand to leave the house with unmade beds:) Thanks for showing that laundry is a never ending chore. We are so blessed we have washing machines and dryers now.
Ah, folding laundry .... saw a sign recently that said "Laundry: Wash 1 hr. Dry 1 hr. Fold and put away 7-10 business days"!!! You're doing a great job as mom. I'm 65 and still can't eat breakfast until 3 hours after I'm up. Trust me, the boys will live!! ❤❤😊
Thanks for the concert, my husband walked in the house from work and had to stop to listen and said: their innocence, specially in the middle of all the turmoil going on in the world and to listen to their voices praising God is beautiful” next thing you know I had an “allergy attack”🥹🥹 LOL. May God always watch over them and your whole family, this is what families need to focus on, make Christ the center of the home. 🙏🏻
I was so happy to see you singing with your little girls. You are establishing something that will be with them forever. I am almost 77 years old and I can still remember my father singing Jesus Loves Me and Deep and Wide with me when I was the age of your girls. I had never heard Building Up the Temple but I remember This Little Light of Mine and at least a verse or two of Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross and other hymns. "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." I can personally attest to the validity of that scripture. This is also true of songs you are teaching your little ones so well done. You are giving your children an excellent foundation.
I rise by 4am - haven't used an alarm in over 25 years, just wake up at that time no matter what time I go to bed. I usually start a load of laundry and empty the dishwasher. I then go to my comfortable chair and read my bible & devotions, pray. Hubby is up by then and he starts his day while I'm finishing laundry. We then exercise and eat our breakfast around 10-11am and continue with picking up around the house/yard or work on a home project. My son was the opposite, he ate a big breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon or sausage) or (biscuits and gravy with sausage).
I love this type of video. You were singing Deep and Wide, that was a song we sang in Bible School and Sunday School sooo many years ago. It brought back so many memories. I am 71 so you know that has been a while.
You mentioned your boys usually don’t like to eat first thing. I used to fight with my son when he was younger about eating in the mornings before school because I was just sure it was gonna affect his learning capabilities. I finally quit and let him choose. It turns out that his digestive system actually righted itself by me letting him choose when he ate and it also affected his metabolism in a positive manner. It taught me the value in sometimes Listening to my children when they really don’t want to do something. 😅
I'm a empty nester of 9 kids (3 in heaven) & 6 we raised. Really appreciate seeing so many great channels like your on TH-cam sharing life of a mom with kids at home! I'm a really riser at 5 am myself to get things done around my home. The songs you sang were ones I sang in church as a kid, I hadn't heard them in a long time & it was so sweet to hear them again.
Your videos give such inspiration. I feel happier in my own life after watching today…didn’t realize I needed the Lord as much as I did!! Thank you and God Bless! ❤
Those childhood chores are so important. Even the smallest chore is a lesson. Cooking experience too. Not being allowed to help as a child definately delayed my cooking skills as a young adult
You and the girls look so pretty in your lavender dresses! They are both so adorable! 🥰 Love to hear children singing to Jesus! That’s so precious! God bless you and your beautiful family!
I was the youngest of 4 kids. My mom was good at assigning age appropriate chores for us. My first real chore was folding the towels and washcloths. I got really good really fast, LOL. My husband watches me sometimes and always comments on how fast I am at folding and how neat. I told him that if it wasn't up to my Mom's standards I had to refold it all. Not just the bad ones but all of them! Yep, I got good really fast. It was nice and nostalgic seeing your daughter folding the clothes.
Loved this morning episode. You are a wonderful Mom with beautiful & well behaved children. Even at my age of 76, l usually learn alot by watching your videos. Keep going Lynette! 😊
Lynette your children are so Special. Love how the boys are with the girls, and the girls are Beautiful. You can tell the songs that Harper really likes. So, So Cute. TFS God Bless
Love the concert 🎵 I get up and read my scriptures as well. I make the beds and start cleaning up. It’s boring now that our children have a life with their family. 😊 My husband and I do what needs done. Love the video 🧡💜🩵💛🩷💚
Those girls are so precious! Oaklynn and her hair is so beautiful. I have a feeling that she is more of haroers teacher than a sister ! The boys getting the milk for their sisters is so awesome as well. One thing i love about watching your videos is how close yall are !
I like my kitchen clean at night as well, it makes for an easy morning when that's done the night before. Love your videos, your girls are adorable and of course the boys are too, I have 5 boys and 1 girl, but they are all grown and given me grands and great grands. Have a beautiful weekend 😘
My sister was a stay at home Mom and she loved it. I had to work. We had 4 kids and both of us worked. There were days I didn’t know if I was coming or going, especially Jr High on with sports. My husband and I would pass each other on the road, picking 2 kids up and taking the other 2. I’m so glad they’re all grown up with their own families. Now that my daughter has 3, she doesn’t know how we did it. 😅 Love your videos, they’re so peaceful. Thanks!
I totally agree on having the kitchen cleaned up the night before, makes the morning/day go so much better! We have 4 school children and a toddler at home! So yes, I know! 😂 Great video! Lois Graber
Lovely video hearing you and the girls sing Yes Jesus loves me bought a tear to my eye I used to sing it with my grandma. Bless you and your family xxxx
I think the way you do your dishwasher is the best way (maybe because that's what I do😉) But I do believe that it sets you up for the best way to clean up. And you are right about having a clean environment to start with first thing in the morning. I read a book written by a pastor's wife and she explained that since they were a pastoral family they would have people coming at all hours, so she learned to always tidy up before bedtime, because she never knew who would drop in and when. While I don't have people coming to my house in the middle of the night, I found it to be so helpful to start the day with a clean home. 😊 Your kids are adorable and Harper's hair is so cute. My daughter was the same way. I'd work hard to get what little bit of hair she had and she'd pull out the ponytail holder. Not to puff her up, but perhaps if Nic told her how he likes it, that might help. Sometimes they just need a little encouragement to keep it up. Again, thank you for sharing your sweet family with us.😊
I grew up in Sarasota. I am 3rd of 4. My mom worked hard like you with laundry. She used a clothesline in the 60’s. We lived on Hyde Park St. Had a huge backyard and lots of trees. Thanks for sharing ❤
U have such a full day! WOW. It’s so good how u older and younger children stop and help each other. U are raising confident happy children. Love the singing My Sunday school class was 4 and 5 year olds. U are Christian’s who attended Plymouth Brethern chapel . U is I. Deep and wide and Jesus. Loves me brought back such wonderful memories. I so enjoy u blogs. Thank you Lynette.🥰👌
Oh how I loved your video today.. I am 57 yrs old and I sung those songs as a child in church.. It made my heart happy to hear them again. I just adore your family and learn so much from you.. and YES Jesus loves me... Blessings to you and your sweet family.
Thank you for sharing your morning with us, Lynette! That little look Harper gave you after you gave her her food in her highchair was absolutely adorable! They are so precious! God bless you and your family.🙏❤😊
We drove to Florida from Wisconsin last week and stayed in Clearwater. I told my husband I wanted to drive over to Sarasota and check out Detwiler's. We also went to the Farm Market downtown. What a beautiful city! Loved your video today and seeing the kids interacting together. The girls are adorable in their matching dresses.
Building up the temple of the lord. That was one of my favorite Sunday school songs growing up. Also had a fun one about the devil chasing me but never catching me that I loved to sing. 🎶
There were six of us and we could never eat breakfast before school without getting sick on the school bus. Mom finally just started keeping frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer and making orange juice for us. She felt better about our not eating and we were all healthy. 💝
Hi Lynette I loved watching your concert and making breakfast with your girls 😊❤ I raised 5 and remember these sweet memories your making with your children ❤
Seeing all the moss and oak trees sure makes me miss home. Both of my parents have passed over the last two years and I don't really have a reason to go back to Florida as often. Makes me sad, but I do enjoy seeing them sometimes. Thanks for sharing your morning with us.
I happened to see your comment and just wanted to reach out to tell you my heart goes out to you in the loss of your parents. I miss my mom & daddy so much, too, and I surely understand. It is hard to go back to the places that bring back the precious memories and can be so overwhelming. I am praying for you.🙏❤
@@homespundevotions You are so kind and I appreciate the prayers. Grief is so hard and you never know what will set it off again. Thank you and God bless!
As always, another great video. To hear children's voices and seeing them have fun is a blessing from God. It's so important to me that I read my devotional daily. All my kids aren't kids anymore. They're adults now and 2 of my boys have families of their own. My youngest one isn't married yet. He's only 22 years old. Life is such a blessing to be in a relationship with God. That's why I enjoy following you and your family. Faith in God. It's just me now. I've raised my youngest son as a single mom cause his dad and I divorced when he was 18 months old. But I'm blessed beyond measures. God made a mom,a grandma and a great grandma. I'm like you Lynette God comes first. ❤❤❤thank you and Nick for raising your kids in a good Christian Mennonite home. I'm a Christian. Continue allowing us to follow you and your family daily journey as y'all go. As always have a blessed week and as always,y'all are in my prayers❤️🙏
Lynette, thank you for the devotional recommendation. I will definitely look for that book. It is wonderful how you and Nic are raising your children. Loved the concert!
✍Hi Lynette... Loved sharing your morning and day routine with us but, my favorite was the 🎶Sunday School songs🎶 as old as I am 78 I find myself singing Sunday School songs🎶 That's the one thing I miss about the Catholic church not singing the songs I'm used too. It's nice you live in a community where golf carts are allowed. We sold ours when selling our summer place. I live in NE Ohio so have no use for a golf cart but it would be nice if they were allowed since I don't drive a regular car either anymore. So I can't get out and about like I'd like to be able to go shopping.Enjoyed the video. Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio🌹
Always enjoy your videos. No you are not failing just because your boys don't like to eat breakfast. It's the same at our house with me and our children.
I loved the video. Lynette. Thank you! Singing with the girls was fun. My mom did that too especially when she braided my hair. A fond memory. 0:350:35
Just catching up now. The concert was great to hear. I'm methodist and we sang those choruses when we were at Sunday school. So lovely to hear them again.
When my kids were young and even to this day I am still that early morning person coffee start laundry and tend to the animals. It just makes my day so to go smoother. I also remember my boys didn't eat either at that age so I would give them that extra something in their lunch :). Do you teach your kids Pa Dutch? I also want to know how much you like your pans you use? Thanks blessings.
Hi Lynette, love your videos! It’s so cute to see the girls playing together now that Harper is a little older.. like Best friends. Love all your content!❤love from Sugarcreek Ohio
My Mom volunteered to teach sunday school to the little kids at our church - much of that involves singing . But my Mom had the very worst tin ear & really couldn't sing a note - so she kinda failed sunday school and was placed instead in the baby nursery where she would just humm guietly to the babies as she rocked them. How nice to hear your little girls singing familiar church songs as their type of worship.
You are on the right schedule for washing dishes in the evening. Most Electric Companies charge less for evening usage. I even throw in a load of laundry before I go to bed and dry them the next morning. (Would be better to get it all done in the evening, but it is not going to happen anytime soon. Thanks for sharing and God bless!
Harper is so sweet! She looks like Pebbles from the Flinstones. I used to do that to my daughters hair when she little too, she had hardly any hair till she was around 2 1/2.
I've been watching your videos for a very long time and this was a top favorite for me. I have never seen your hair down and it's really long along with Oaklyn's. I'm in Sarasota too. Thanks for posting--I loved it!

That little concert was adorable. Reminds me of my mother and me singing the very same songs.
Thanks for including the free concert, praising the Lord. That was so sweet :)

I think the way you do your dishwasher is the best way (maybe because that's what I do😉) But I do believe that it sets you up for the best way to clean up. Just catching up now. The concert was great to hear. I'm methodist and we sang those choruses when we were at Sunday school. So lovely to hear them again.
Oakland has such beautiful curls!! Love it!
I always enjoy your videos no matter what you’re doing❤️
You are calm and encouraging and a blessing to many.
I love today's video! Especially love the free concert!!!
Thanks for the free concert ! 😊Enjoyed your video as always !
Lynette, it is so wonderful to see the wonderful relationship you have with your beautiful children. I love how organized you are!!🤗

Hi Lynette, love your videos! It’s so cute to see the girls playing together now that Harper is a little older.. like Best friends. Love all your content!❤love from Sugarcreek Ohio
That concert was fabulous! And we got front row and no tickets! I can't believe how big the boys are getting.
How nice to hear your little girls
singing familiar church songs as their type of worship.
You are great parents
