Using tension rods against a washing machine to hold a board for extra storage is a bad idea. Washing machines tend to scoot around during operation. It's going to shake the shelf and everything on it, loose.
That’s a dryer.
So even more movement
Still looks like wasted space. It's not very practical 😐
@@coracobb3917 The title of the video states "washing machine". A dryer also has a lot of vibration.
Those tension rods aren't made to hold any weight.
The minute the washer goes into spin dry….hasta la vista
All washing machines move from the spin cycle.
The washing machine in the video looked more like a dryer. But it would probably also produce enough vibrations to dislocate the shelf.
Tension rods against a washing machine that jiggles. Hmmmm.
I was thinking the same thing because an off balance washing machine will probably bend those tension rods.
I was thinking the same thing.
Came here to say that too.
It wasn't the dryer by chance?
Just thinking that! 😂 Really one of those $12 3 drawer Sterilites would work in that spot.
The laundry sorter and the Murphy table are great!
I want to hear more from the 3rd guy. His voice is so soothing and not intimidating whatsoever! Makes me want to go purchase a Brad nailer! 🤩😅
You covered wood with wood contact paper instead of staining the actual wood? 🤔
Possibly to be more resistent to water and liquid detergent spills?
@@maggiegarber246Good point!
If u don't hv a garage, live in an apartment, or hv inclement weather, it's tough to stain wood inside your place. Especially hard with indoor pets due to the fumes. Just a thought? - just me in Palm Springs 🌴
@@maggiegarber246Also, u could choose contact paper to suit decor. It doesn't hv to be a wood grain. -🌴
It looked like she was using plywood which in my opinion does not stain well. Also the contact paper is waterproof and easy cleanup.
The laundry room cabinet with the drop down table is absolutely brilliant!!
Thank you 🐨
Creative, not "brilliant".
That will be on the floor as soon as my washing machine goes into the spin cycle! 🤣
I put my old microwave cart in my bathroom (that's where my washer n dryer is) to fold clothes on and store laundry stuffs
The Murphy table is an awesome idea. 👍👍
3:05 Did anyone else get super interested in this DIY right at this moment? 😂 I'm in! - just me in Palm Springs 🌴
The Bob Ross man is really creative!
Why does it say washing machine, when it’s the dryer where she puts the tension rod shelf.
And what happens to the tension rods when you put that lopsided comforter in?
Good luck with that. After a while the machine will move/vibrate enough it will cause that to collapse .
Just one off balance load and all the stuff on top is all over the floor. In theory great idea. In the real world not so great.
Very useful laundry basket rack and Murphy table.
😂 if your washer doesn't move
And as soon as the washer gets wobbling from heavy uneven load , boom shelf in the floor .😂
That laundry basket stand! ❤
My hubs made one so the baskets were tipped toward the front. It was easier to sort laundry with the open part of the basket being accessible.
The fold out laundry table is a superb idea 💡👌👏. Now just to book in my handy man 😉🙄 !
They make a really good portable shelf type space saver that holds your laundry soap with a drip pan underneath it and room for other laundry items. It fits between the washer and dryer..I got mine at Walmart.
Great job 🎉❤
All was great tips . Love the wood burning for laundry baskets great Job! All
This only works if you dont use the washer 😂
Love those ideas! Thanks channel
Our first home had metal cupboards in the kitchen. Turquoise!. It didn't fit, so I covered them with the wood appearing stick on paper to cover them. The lòok was terrific
Great idea thank you
All three are useful.
Awesome all the ideas, I wish one would work for me…
These were great ideas💡 💡 💡
It’s a great idea if you don’t have a machine that will shack in spin cycle. Any idea to help because it can really move and I would love to prevent this.
Great tips
Love thetable
Good ideas❤
You go girl.God BLESS ALL❤❤
I stand the floor brush & pan in my space...which is narrower
The driver moves on the floor. Very easy
Exactly where on Lake Conroe is this camera? I just followed the entire edge of the lake on Google Maps and can't find this structure.
🎉 l enjoy this channel
As soon as u put something heavy on those rods it will fall down
Not everyone has saws etc. how bout some variety?
I won't do the tension rod idea. My dryer shakes a tiny bit
It’s the dryer
And...when my teenagers use the washing machine which means it's going to be loaded uneven, causing my washer to convulse...how many times do I pick the shelf and everything that was on it up before I lose my sanity??
That will last about 5 minutes and then you have to clean up whatever spills/falls to the floor.
the first clip was a dryer not a washing machine lol
Ummm that mess is gonna fall.
Those tension rods won't hold 5 mins with the machine on 😅
Tension rods are not very strong so be careful
Tell me you have never done laundry in your life without telling me you have never done laundry in your life
That was the dryer. Just saying
There’s about 4” between the wall & the back of my washer. So much for this DIY.
Next?
Nice. But it wont-work when the washing machine is out of balance. It will shake and those rods will fall. Not a a good idea 💡
Why are you covering natural wood with fake wood???
1h
Gluing wood at right angles to the grain is really not going to be a good idea long term
Yeah because everyone already has all these tools or can afford them😕
Tension rods will drop more often than you could handle them. Not worth it. For the rest, you have to have some experience working with wood and all that machinery.
Dumb idea for tension rods. As i type this I can hear my washer jiggling, thereby probably shaking my dryer as well.
Don't put to much weight or anything breakable on that tension rod shelf. Just saying...
OMG Y’All !! Maybe she is young. Let’s try not to completely crush her spirit. Maybe if it had legs on the table, it would work better for her. The idea of a side table is great, but with legs.
It's inspired me to turn this crap off, gotta be one of the dumbest things I've seen
Dumbest idea ever...
