I forgot to mention, you can Disable the 7.1 surround sound for slightly better audio, but since that's a major selling point it doesn't alter my concluded opinion.

I have the 7 but I think if you use external equalizer the sound can be awesome

Amazon sent me these by mistake. I ordered headphones priced at $50, but opened my box to see these. Let’s just say I enjoy the steelseries very much.

btw the steelseries arctis 7 default to telephone quality. You have to go to sound, properties, advanced, 48k quality

I wanted to buy the Pulse 3D but it is out of stock everywhere ! So I will get with the Arctis 7 because it’s basically the same as the 7P and it’s just 50 bucks more than the Pulse 3D

I personally think its awful. The audio crackles like crazy, worst headset i've ever gotten.

I've had these headsets for 3 years now. They are still solid headphones. Although, I had only one minor issue which is the occasional lag spike. But, there was an update early last year on these headphones and ever since then, I have not had the mic spike issue. For anyone looking for good headphones, these are really good. Even after all of these years the battery life lasts about a week and a half for me based off how long I play each day.
Nice video. You just saved me from buying them. What noise cancelling headphones can you recommend for ps4 also a mic that I can mount somewhere and not have it attached to me? Thanks

hi, i have some questions please help.
1,.connected to the ps4 pro and using psvr are they still wireless or do you have to use cable when using psvr?
2,.are they still surround sound with consoles or just on pc?
3.- i know they are not wireless for the xbox one x and you have to plug the cable to the controller but, do they keep the audio quality?

hardly any good mics plus headphone combo out there for less than 150 especially since you would need to buy an audio interface if you got an xlr mic.

Tbh these are actually really nice, the sound is absolutely not subpar, although sometimes the audio is unbalanced. They are absolutely the best headsets I have ever tried, and I have used both the 2018 and 19 versions of this.
Astro A20 or arctis 7?
I'm looking for to buy this, they will be i store t 13 july, Im just gonna use them for ps4 games not using mic at all. I tried them on today, they were perfect but I haven't used the sound will they be perfect for only ps4 playing?

i have seen many videos of this headset and there are lots of mixed review. i am not sure if i should get it and if i dont, i dont know wat headset to buy
It's worth it. Had it for a few months, no issues, very good sound, relatively good mic, and is comfy.

If you do get it be careful taking it off and on. The build quality around the hinge connecting the right ear cup is absolutely horrendous and will break if you aren’t really carful. This is a problem I’ve seen many people have with this headset.

Your microphone captures your voice so well. Also please help, what would be a good headphone recommendation for immersive sound quality preferably for gaming and movies at a budget under $100? (microphone and RGB not needed but please especially no RGB maybe something that looks similar to the SS Artic 7 a clean look)

Kronix I have the cloud revolvers but not the arctis 7s I like the revolvers but they are super heavy, the mic is bad, and the cable is always coming unplugged from the headphone splitter. To top it off the metal frame at the top is super annoying, it is super loud in discord if I barely adjust my headphones. Quality is great though, sound is amazing. I just wish they were lighter and had software that allowed sidetone so I can actually hear myself.
I have the Arctis 9x headset. These are incredibly comfortable, which I am surprised at your review on the comfortability of the same ear cups on the Artics 7’s.

Hey. Do you mind showing us what settings you have set the Arctis 7 to? There are two audio sources, one is for game, the other is for chat (as they are named "Chat" and "Game") The Chat portion of the sound is really flat because there is just supposed to be voice coming from that. The other, "Game", is rich in both base and mid range sound. I find that the $150 is a really good price for thir headset since you cant really get anything wireless for much cheaper. And since these are getting cheaper with sales (my friende picked them up for around $89), I think this is about the best wireless headset you can get.

They don't have RGB. Only the Arctis 5 does

Look into Logitech headsets if you’re going for mic quality, otherwise I would say these are the best for their price. HyperX Cloud II’s are also a good cheaper alternative.
I switched from the Logitech G933 when my girlfriend bought me the Arctis 7 and forced me to use them. I liked the 933s better. The boom isn’t retractable, per se, but you can flip it up and it automatically mutes. It sounds dumb, but it’s very useful. They’re not as comfortable as the Steelseries, but I got better sound quality from them on my rig and never really had any issues.
Idk but if wireless is that important just get their arctis 3 bluetooths, all arctis headphones sound garbage not just the wireless ones.
Why is this headset costing $368 NZD (Yes I live in New Zealand and yes, it's ridiculous how expensive stuff is here) yet, you don't get 7.1 Surround Sound on console? It's a pretty trash headset for that price to be honest. I'm struggling to find something to replace my Astro A50 Gen 3's, mine have gone wrong. Any suggestions?

Bliss I've use 3 of that. No 1 goes to Steelseries artic 7, crosair void rgb and razor manowar. But I'll choose Steelseries anytime. Just my opinion though

good video! i am guessing the usb stick is a cheap and basic sound card, which is why the sound is so flat. it's one reason i went with the JBL WR2.4 cans.

@@syroxx3262 also you have to set them to the game setting, which has a nice balanced sound stage. They aren't a plug and play headset per se, but once you've turned DTS off, changed it to game and done some other tweaks the sound stage is seriously good
Can you tell me if the mic stills pick up the voice when it's retracted ? I don't like mics that come in front of the mouth
Oh man it's been a while since I've used these, I can't remember, but I believe it does mute the microphone when it's retracted. I think haha

JDTechGear yes most of them are from very small TH-camrs so they are not clear and dont go over everything and i would lik to if it is worth and if not you should suggest a alternative and i want to know if the mic is good enough for starting out for TH-cam since i plain on recording again and i am not investing into a separate mic till i get some more veiws or any lol
