    Just installed this and I have one pointer....when reinstalling that cigarette lighter plug, use your phone to see what you’re actually trying to plug in. I spent like 10-15 minutes cursing lol. After I used my phone, it took 15 seconds.

    The only thing I could add to this install is properly looming and securing the wiring behind the dash. That will prevent a possible electrical fire in the dash down the road. Just sayin, YMMV. But I have witnessed rigs burned to a smoldering heap of scrap from not taking precautions when wiring.

    I wish the USB ports were in the back so you can hide and route the cables better.
    With the iPad you can hide wires but with smaller devices you will just have a lot of wires hanging there.

    • @AdventureBuilt
      @AdventureBuilt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually like the ports on the front. I use short cables and the wiring isn’t bad. The next big thing will be Wireless Charging for the entire bracket. That would be cool. For now though it is perfectly manageable.

    • @ShredGarage
      @ShredGarage 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adventure Built I was thinking if it was in the back under the cable management hiding piece you can put whatever wires needed there and then little cable pass thru. But wireless charging would be cool! I want this rack tho, seems nice

    Great video. What is the point of that one, self tapping screw installed near the end? The instructions do not explain its purpose.

    • @AdventureBuilt
      @AdventureBuilt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. I’m pretty sure it limits the flex in the bracket on the left side if you were to add a bunch of weight. Whatever the reason it works. I did a 3 day trip on the AZ Backcountry Discovery Route and had the 3TPAM loaded down. Including my 10.2” IPAD. No problems at all. Hope this helps.

    If you purchase an aftermarket radio, will it interfere with the mounting brackets?

    • @AdventureBuilt
      @AdventureBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it will completely depend on how the stereo mounts. Most stereos use adapters to fit into the stock location but they are all different.

  • @tcat210
    @tcat210 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you need to access behind the radio or any of the controls, what's the best way to take the dash off without removing everything you just installed?

    • @wheel1775
      @wheel1775 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edward Donlin The bezel pops off pretty easily. The radio comes out with a few bolts. It’s pretty easy and that’s the only reasonable way to get behind the dash.

    • @AdventureBuilt

I live in The Boondocks with my taco so I'm not up to current prices what do they charge for that tablet, and what is the monthly fee and service fee to use a tablet? Nice having the USB plugs I didn't have my glasses so what's the voltage on your tablet is at 4.5? As well or 12? hey you're a perfectionist you did a great job on the video thank you going to do something in life you might as well do it right, is that have a radar on it and coffee maker by any chance?:-) I install the nice inverter on my truck really nice having 110 power anywhere anytime. great job there professor your English is exquisite,,, * * * * *
