I like your Satisfactory videos. I have completed the game several times over the last 4 years. There are 3 big tips I would say to all beginners. 1. I suggest grabbing all the slugs you can and power shard miners and production machines to the max as you go. As you level up belts, you will benefit greatly. 2. Get miners and production running on all the nodes you can find. You may think you are over producing, but as a beginner you have no idea the scale of the game that is coming. Start with the basics. Wire, plates, rods, then screws, reinforced plates and cable. 3. Don't worry too much about automating the next big item. You can hand craft most, or at the very least hand feed machines until you have enough to feed the space elevator or the hub. The above tips will get you a strong base. Don't even think about steel or caterium until you have a ton of iron and copper products running.

Just a note on Hard Drive Research, if you don't like the 3 recipes you get, just hit esc, and pick the hard drive again, and hit the research button. You don't need to Save and Reload. This is genuinely a great tutorial series. I love that you share little tips along the way and explain the logic behind why you're setting things up the way you are. Super helpful. Thanks.

One note: Solid Biofuel burns for longer than biomass, even after considering the conversion rate, so even though you don't have enough to feed your burners full stacks of solid biofuel, they will still run longer than on a full stack of biomass each.
I like to keep my biomass production on it's own power grid. That way it's independent of the main power grid and won't cease production if you're struggling with power management. So a single biomass generator and 3 or 4 constructors and a container at the end. It's a fairly small and compact but I found it so useful I converted it to my fuel depo later in the game.
Good instructions. You explain everything possible/necessary (even with the little important tricks) - but you don't go like other Satisfactory channels into great detail about what exactly has to be placed where - basics excellently explained!

Awesome tutorial videos. Helps a newb like me not get overwhelmed on what to do at the start!. One thing I've found about researching hard-drives in the MAM is that if you don't get the cast screws, just hit 'esc' to exit the choices. You can then hit that orange button again and re-roll your choices. It saves finding another hard drive if you've forgotten to save prior.
Congrats on a new subscriber, thanks for the video I've learned new ways to set up my factory layouts and make it more efficient, I will probably do two saves from here one waiting for your next episode and one to play around with on my own👍

great video! as for the alternate recipes, I believe the only check for which recipes it sends you is what phase of the space elevator you are on. for example, as soon as you complete phase 1, without unlocking any of the tier 3 milestones, you can start getting the steel alternates.
A Handy tip that i just learned. those "flying crab hatchers" can be snuck up on. Just crouch before they spawn and crawl your way up and stab away to your hearts content.
You can sneak up on the fly spawners by crouching. That way you can get a free hit in before they spawn, and when you get better weapons you can one-shot them before the flies spawn at all.
Excelent video once again! Just a note on making roads: I don't think they end up aligning very well after too many curves even if you just use the grid. I love building roads and I often end up in cases where they don't align even tho they do start from the same grid. But there are plenty of methods to re-align them, so nowadays I don't bother much with the grid lol

Hi!! I discovered something really useful, IF YOU DO A NEW SAVE, 30 SECONDS BEFORE THE HARD DRIVE FINISH ANALYSING, AND YOU DONT GET THE ALTERNATIVE RECEPY YOU WANTED, THEN YOU CAN RESTORE THE GAME TO 30 SECS BEFORE IT FINISHES, AND YOU GET A DIFFERENT RESULT!!!! Hope it helps!!! by the way love your videos
As far as I can tell I've setup my concrete production exactly as you've done, but only three Constructors are running at 100% efficiency. The other (which is the one being fed directly from the closest limestone Miner, with the remaining 15 units being split to the second Constructor) doesn't get any higher than 84%. Not a huge deal, but I'm confused why that is.
@@russelllogan6630 nope, it’s a legit inefficiency. Found the answer in the official Discord, but too lazy to hunt it down again. My solution was to split one of the belts into 2x30, then merge each of those with the other 2x60, resulting in 2x90 belts. Each of those then feeds a pair of Constructors, providing a “perfect” 45 units of limestone each.
Still haven't found a good explanation for why this happens, if it is legit. Seems to happen on these reverse manifolds. Here's how I got round the problem. 1. On the 60 line: insert a splitter in front of the initial splitter which is in front of the 1st constructor, 2. Change the splitter in front of the 1st constructor to a merger so it receives 30 from the new splitter 3. Set up a new splitter behind where the initial splitter/new merger was, so that the line at right angles to the 60 line is splitter, merger, 1st constructor. This splitter receives 30 from the new splitter on the 60 line and outputs 15 to the new merger in front of the 1st constructor and 15 to the merger in front of the 2nd constructor. 4. Lift the 120 line up over the new splitter. 5. Remove the conveyor line that runs from the merger in front the 2nd constructor to the new merger in front of the 1st constructor. Hope this is clear enough. I think it involves less change than setting up a new load balancing network.
It's because the input of a splitter is divided by the number of connected outputs. For example: you feed the splitter with 60 units per minute and split into 2 belts. Each of the outputs get 30 units. Splitters don't care about how many units are needed. They simply distribute the input equally to the outputs.

Cast screws? With very little effort and the right choices, you can completely eliminate screws from the game. Stitched Plate is the first step towards that goal.
Solid biofuel isn’t efficient though. You barely double the time it burns compared to biomass and it does 4 biomass to create 1 solid biofuel. It’s more efficient to use biomass. I would like to be wrong, so correct me if so.
It’s actually 2 biomass per solid biofuel. A biomass has 180mj of energy so 2 for 360mj vs a solid biofuel which is 450mj. It’s actually like a 25% increase in efficiency.
Tips: next time explain please what a chansaw is in the context of this game, before crafting it. Also, you never explained what a foundation is, while bringing it up several times already in the last episode and this one early on. Later on, suddenly you build an "assembler", what does that do?
@@jasperwillem ahhhhhh okay. I just unlocked chainsaw yesterday. Chainsaw cuts down the trees and you get a lot of wood from them. Also noticed you can use the chainsaw on the bushes too and it gives a bit more leaves and wood occasionally rather than picking them up by hand. Foundation. When building on the ground especially with the conveyor belts they are like free placing so some times hard to line them up. If you put down a foundation then it gives you more of a grid feel when placing them. ** Press Ctrl and the foundation will snap to the world grid. That way if your building a little structure around say your miners. Also building a structure in the distance. If the foundations are both snapped to the world grid then even though they are separated they are still placed in a way that if you built a path between them they would snap together perfectly.. foundations are super useful I use them everywhere while building conveyor belts then just delete the foundation when your done and the belts stay. Assembler is like the constructor. But how the constructor takes in per se iron ingot and makes the plates or a rod. The assembler is for if you want to automate like the Reinforced Iron Plate. It has two inlets and one outlet. So you feed into it Iron plate to one inlet and screw to the other inlet. Which produces from the outlet the reinforced iron plate. So it just automates the stuff that takes multiple materials to make.

Aie a new spectrum vid
Solid biofuel isn’t efficient though. You barely double the time it burns compared to biomass and it does 4 biomass to create 1 solid biofuel. It’s more efficient to use biomass. I would like to be wrong, so correct me if so.
It’s actually 2 biomass per solid biofuel. A biomass has 180mj of energy so 2 for 360mj vs a solid biofuel which is 450mj. It’s actually like a 25% increase in efficiency.
funny thing, your raw quartz is coal in my savegame. how is this possible? :D
That's odd. No matter anyways, we don't use it until we get an actual quartz mine going in the 4th episode.
I realy love u
R U still doing to make more vids, or is this going to die in its infancy?
dang 2 minute's to upload and already 3 comments
Tips: next time explain please what a chansaw is in the context of this game, before crafting it. Also, you never explained what a foundation is, while bringing it up several times already in the last episode and this one early on. Later on, suddenly you build an "assembler", what does that do?
Chainsaw.. Chainsaws things
Foundation.. Foundation for things
Assembler.. Assemblers things
@@Mc_Riib you are probably a native speaker?
😀
Dame shame the chainsaw cant be used as a weapon.
You have some severe OCD my friend
