Loyalty can come in many different ways. I find that when I see how a brands "customer service" is aka their attitude it makes me want to stay or go. Online I've also experienced the same. Brands need to connect with their customers. Before with just TV their was not a great way to track and tell how your customers reacted. Now we have tons of tools online to help track online commerce. Even the biggest brands never respond to comments or videos I've put out about them.
