26:59 you called it. Right when the Joker thinks he's getting the upper hand, she shows him she was never not in control and CRUNCH, smashes his nuts with her knee. Her "What's wrong Joker, you're not laughing?" line shows she was savoring her revenge.
2nd. BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES basically rejuvenated the whole comic TV series genre. Without the success of BTAS, it's easy to argue many of the other animated series, both Marvel & DC never would have grown as well as they did. Of course, Batman led to Superman, led to the B&S team up, led to the Justice league, the the JLA, Teen Titans. Thise are just the TV series. But, after those, the animated films stated dropping.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is a great watch as well but I would recommend Batman Beyond: Re-Birth first the two episode pilot for Batman Beyond so you are introduced to the new characters. It's set within the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) alongside Mask of the Phantasm so you'll be following the same Batman just decades later. Some stand alone movies would be All-Star Superman, Justice League: The New Frontier, Justice League: Doom, Batman: Under the Red Hood. You could also watch the first few episodes of Superman: Animated Series, at least the first story arc to see the origins of Superman, an element Man of Steel skipped over.
Been a lifelong Batsy fan and one of my favorite artist Neal Adams made one of the best comics with my fave batman villain Ra's Al Gul. Also was a fan of Akira and BTAS so when this movie released i asked my pops to me take opening night as a kid, unforgettable time.
This film was made during the Batman The Animated Series. It was intended for Joker to die here which is why he appears to die instead of being captured or getting away. But they kept using him in TAS.
28:30 No actually they're not the same at all beyond the fact that parents were killed. Bruce/Batman fights back to get justice, and he made a vow never to cross the line into becoming a killer. Andrea by contrast wanted revenge and became a killer, no different than the people who murdered her father.
This movie actually got a theatrical release in, I think, the early 1990s. I saw it on the big screen and it's clearly one of the best Batman movies ever, despite being animated. So well done.
You should do more movies with great plot twisfs like, The Game, Identity, The Usual Suspects, Secret Window, The Mist, Se7en. Those who knows more, add to this list, haha
The Animated DC from Warner Brothers is some of the best adaptations of the material ever brought to an audience. Even the spinoff of Batman Beyond is a triumph. The film Sub Zero is almost Legendary. Enjoy.
Batman and Mr Freeze Subzero is another great movie Batman Under the Red Hood is a great movie about the Second Robin Batman Beyond Return of the Joker is a great movie
If you haven't seen the two Tim Burton Batman films, you've gotta check them out - their success inspired this one (well, the cartoon that it was a spin-off of, anyway), and ultimately, all superhero movies following. The original 'Batman' is a classic, and you should see it first, but to my mind, 'Batman Returns', the sequel, is superior.
My suggestions Batman 66 Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero Batman Beyond: The Movie Justice League: Secret Origins Justice League: Starcrossed Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo Superman: Doomsday Justice League: The New Frontier Wonder Woman Green Lantern: First Flight Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Batman: Under the Red Hood Superman vs. The Elite Batman: Bad Blood Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year Batman vs. Two-Face Lego batman Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Justice League vs. the Fatal Five The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest Justice League: Starcrossed Superman and the Mole Men Batman Forever Batman Begins Batman 1943 Crisis on Infinite Earths cw version and animated version Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite Batman: Gotham Knight
Not to invalidate your point but it just dawned on me that saying joker is over-used takes away from him as a whole character, joker is the co-Star of Batman’s story

This just goes to show why Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are the definitive Batman and Joker.
Of ALL of the times Mark Hamill laughed as the Joker, the one heard at the end of this movie was the most epic.
Could have done it slower though. That’s even more epic.
Yeah thanks to his acting as Trickster in the 90s Flash series.
You should react to the whole Batman animated series. It’s in the same style and tone of this film.
2nd.

The woman who says the “I word” is Arleen Sorkin, voice of Harlequin may she RIP as well.
This is my favorite Batman movie. Animated or live action.
R.i.p Kevin Conroy
The return of the Vampurr shirt 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Is that a Bunnicula shirt???
This movie is what inspired Christopher Nolan to make Batman Begins, among other things.

RIP Kevin Conroy
You should react to the Batman versus Dracula animated movie. That would be interesting.
Not a lot of people seem to remember that from the late 2000s show, would be kinda fun to revisit it after all this time

The Phantasm is inspired by the DC comics Reaper.

Came out in 1993 same year as Batman Forever.
Ah yes, the enduring classic, love this movie.
Best batman movie
Let's go
The phantasm is hands down one of the best villain characters written for Batman 🤌
You should watch Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse, both fantastic animated films.
Please watch Batman: Under the Red Hood
I appreciate that you're not a big Joker fan. He's over done and there are a lot if other greats.
You should do more movies with great plot twisfs like, The Game, Identity, The Usual Suspects, Secret Window, The Mist, Se7en. Those who knows more, add to this list, haha
Shutter island, sixth sense, gone girl
