How I see it is the RDA is a mega corporation, first the unobtanium, and then the Amrita is only benefiting the super wealthy, especially Amrita, considering earth is considered to have an overpopulation/overcrowding problem, being able to reverse aging doesn’t benefit anyone apart from the billionaires who can afford it. Another thing to note is that Pandora is not particularly habitable to humans, even getting Eywa, the na’vi and general dangerous flora and fauna out of the way, Pandora doesn’t have a breathable atmosphere. They can’t eat any of the local plants and animals. In both the games and movies humans can coexist with the Na’vi and Pandora. But due to the fact that the RDA is a mega corp that would never be their main goal. The main reason why humans came to Pandora and keep coming back is because it’s making them a shit ton of money. If the plan was more space for humans they could have just moved to mars or the upper atmosphere of Venus. Peoples greed killed earth, and peoples greed is killing Pandora, Jake and the Na’vi not wanting a repeat of Earth is not a bad thing, and is a valid reason for trying to fight the humans off tooth and nail.
