I bought the Moxi Lollies about a month ago after thinking about buying outdoor skates for about 6 months. I live in Seattle so finally the rain gave us a break- I skated about 10 miles today I was so excited!!! (I'm super out of shape and overweight so this is a big deal for me). This channel has given me the skating boost I really needed- thank you! Also as an ex-derby player I never knew about the skating-backwards-toestops skill. Thank you so much!!!
@@nataliamidzio me who's watching this video because I felt pretty bad this morning due to a hill : 🥵✍️ (thankfully not really hurt thanks to the grass but I'm pretty sure I'll get a nice bruise tomorrow -and I'm traumatised now)

I think it just means they cant skate on the path, in Singapore they have those signs so ppl dont use electronic scooters on the path but they are allowed to use them on the road :))
I love this! The Moxi Skate team is the reason why I went out and bought my first pair of roller skates last spring. Pigeon looks so at ease bombing downhill, she's great to watch! Thank you so much for creating Planet Roller Skate ❤

I thought the same! I started skiing when I was three and I think my technique is not bad. Last summer I became roller skates but it is difficult to find a good place to skate because I live in a small village with many hills. And I don't want to start skating by driving downhill to fast xD This year I defnitly want to learn skate downhill safely so I can go outside and skate without going first to a level place 😅
Ah, same! I've been skiing since I was about 4 and recently (by which I mean about two days ago) started skating with my own skates - before that I'd only ever done an hour or so at the local rink every few years. Now that I'm actually ~learning~ with the aim of trail and maybe park skating (not just bombing around in an oval shape) I'm noticing how similar they are, in that stopping and turning come totally naturally from years of muscle memory. Backwards, not so much. But hey, maybe I'll be able to ski backwards next time I go!
eeeee this is so fun! but all the hills near me are literally made of gravel and are like, car central RIP! there's not enough good skate spots in my area n it sucks aaaa!

Ah, about time I watched this. First time a couple of days ago I stepped on the roller skates I ended up going downhill (honestly, it was my only way to go at that point, or take skates off and go barefoot), losing balance and control of skates, teering towards the grass on the sideroad and then falling/rolling head-first into bushes/steep forest edge. I got caught in the bushes and ivies so I did not roll into the forest below (mind you the hill top is at the height of tree crowns surrounding it). No further harm, but my left side was badly bruised and cut. Laughed it off but could not put on skates this whole time. I wore my protection gear, thankfully. Well then, now to understand how to actually skate downhill :D

Amazing! And always nice to see Pidgeon as well!^^ I've always been so scared to go downhill, but you make it look so harmless that I might actually try to learn how to do it :) I have a selfish request O:-) Could you please do a video for skatepark beginners who have their basic pumping down, but can't seem to reach the copings yet and do stalls? Or something like a progress time-line - what's best thing to start with and gradually move onto, when it comes to carving, drop-ins, stalls etc.? :) Okay, that was a number of requests, sorry about that =D I really love your videos, they are extremely helpful, thank you so much for making them! Lots of love from the Czech republic!^^
Hiya, thank you for answering, I have! It's the best, it's been soo helpful! I think I can pump okay now, but whenever I get too close to a coping I panic and don't know what to do with myself =D So usually I just toe-stop and slow down again. Do you have any tips or tricks on getting up on the coping from pumping? So far I've managed to touch it with one skate and then freakout and go back down instead of trying to get up somehow =D I know it will probably take a lot more practice, but any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you so so much!^^

OMG thank you sooo much for all these amazingly helpful videos! You make the best informational videos that give me the confidence to get out there and skate 💜
Hi Indy! Thank you so much for making these videos. I love watching them. I'm going to buy my first rollers at the end of july and I am learning before I get them. These tutorials are really useful, I will show you my progress on instagram when I start riding. I can't wait to see more videos. Greetings from Poland! ♥
I'm a skiing enthusiast and it's a bit similar to skiing in a way haha. It's good to know that once you are good at one sport all other sports can come naturally.
"When I went to school here I got over $1,000 in roller skating tickets because you're not supposed to skate on campus." "These roads [at my old school] are really good to learn on!" "And then that cop was like 'you can't skate on campus' and the professor's like 'cop, you should give them a ticket!'" . ...I like how you mention that skating there isn't legal and you've gotten several tickets there before, then talk about what a great place it is to skate, and then proceed to almost get another ticket, lol. If I didn't know better I'd say you were inciting roller skating rebellion, haha ;)
I street skated for the first time ever yesterday and ended up going down a seriously steep hill! wish I'd known about carving because I just shot down the hill, honestly terrifying. With no helmet 😷 lucky to be alive lol But I'm not scared anymore and feel confident for any future hill skating! thanks for this vid ladies 💜
I love this videos, every day I am checking or there is a new video on this channel. I roller skate too ( I am a beginner) but where I live it is a little bit strange to skate (everybody has a longboard) and there are no places you can practice because our road is really bumpy. I hope you keep making videos about rollerskating, love you (sorry for my English because I am from the Netherlands)💜

Okay, that was a number of requests, sorry about that =D I really love your videos, they are extremely helpful, thank you so much for making them! Lots of love from the Czech republic!^^
Hi there! Have you seen my how to pump video? It is the most basic intro for park skating.
So far I've managed to touch it with one skate and then freakout and go back down instead of trying to get up somehow =D I know it will probably take a lot more practice, but any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you so so much!^^
This was a lot safer and better than how I learned as a kid, just send it and hope there's no cars.
Thanks for helping people learn safely.
Savage video! Trudat Wear a helmet, a lid will save your life. Square your shoulders and eyes to where you want to go, GREAT ADVICE and true in any sport from skiing to football to skating or bicycling, the way to avoid crashing, focus on a place you want to go, not the tree, curb, etc. That is even true in life, don't think about failure, focus only where you want to go. Banana Slugs! best mascot anywhere.
When will the turn around toe stop be uploaded? ;) I hope soon because I want to practise it :) love your channel guys and lovely greetings from Germany!!!
My second day skating have been watching you guys ever since I waited for my roller skates to come in the mail, today I was able to go down hill super fast! And confident! You guys are great⭐️ “the super skater” has saved me from eating 💩
Moving to cali in 3 months! I've never been able to skate outside and was saddled with skateboarding everywhere cause they handle puddles better but I always preferred skates. SO ready to be able to do something I love EVERY DAY!
Ahhhhh!!! Just bought my first pair of skates and watching this video has me sooooo pumped!! You guys are awesome!

UC Santa Cruz is no joke, it's literally built on hills so you'd get tired quickly I mean *VERY* quickly
I *love* *love* your videos they have helped me with roller skating!! Thank you Indy for taking the time to record these!
“The safest way is to go backwards”
Me: cries in roller *b l a d e s*
S a m e
you can carve and slide down a hill on inlines
going downhill in inlines is easy if you just drag one foot behind you a little bit on the way down
Al Louise not backwards tho
@@solomonder6059 you can still drag your foot when going backwards, fakie acid slide or fakie soul slide
You guys are awesome! Thanks for the free information! I gotta say, as a derby girl seeing you guys without gear is CRAZY! I would love to come dance around in California!
Loll I'm a UC Santa Cruz student and I clicked on this video because I was thinking the roads here would be great to skate on, and you guys actually demonstrated on the exact same roads.. crazy
I'm just getting into roller skating and these videos are really helping me. THANKS
I used to do rollerskating when I was a kid, makes me wanna do it again but in college I just don't have the time for it.
That was so fun watching you girls go down hill! I used to skate all the time as a kid with my moms old quad skates, now im wanting to go skate again. I’m saving money for some moxie skates but unsure what color to choose. I hope you girls can help me choose a color!
You guys are Awesome!😍 keep it up!
Thanks so much! Always doing our best
Going to practice doing these techniques! When I encountered a decline today on a trail, I didn't know what to do (I can't stop well -_-) so I squatted all the way to the ground and rode it out while hoping for the best lol.
Cool vid! Finally a professional skater channel, that teaches u usefully!😎
Hi Indy! I was able to skate at North Houston Skatepark with Enzo today. It was so fun!! I sure hope you feature him more. His teaching technique was very intuitive and patient! Love yall and so inspired by these videos :)

You Moxi ladies are a force to be reckoned with ❤️
"When I went to school here I got over $1,000 in roller skating tickets because you're not supposed to skate on campus."
"These roads [at my old school] are really good to learn on!"
"And then that cop was like 'you can't skate on campus' and the professor's like 'cop, you should give them a ticket!'"
.
...I like how you mention that skating there isn't legal and you've gotten several tickets there before, then talk about what a great place it is to skate, and then proceed to almost get another ticket, lol.
This video REALLY helped me, like REALLY I live in a region with almost no straight roads, it's only up hill or down hill. No inbetween
Thanks!
This is so good for a begginer like me!!
I love it!
Both of you are so nice!
Just got my skates and equipment from pigeons skates. You guys inspired me and I’m so excited !!! 😝
it's the day after Christmas for me and I got some Moxi Beach Bunny Watermelon skates! I've been going up and down stairs in them and I've been skating down a long hallway too.
