Good video, I fished Horsbrugh on Sat 4th Nov, there was loads off fish jumping, but not interested in my offerings, that was my last day, but it's a new season, with new dreams ,tight lines m8.
Hi, just found this on TH-cam, anyway, season 2022 I was at Yair and fished it for a day, then Alan gave us a tour in his buggy. On looking at you video for that day see you have my rod and my mates rod resting on the rack in the video, plus a flash of my red car through the passenger window. Now watching this video clip and your casting is good, however a left hand uppermost would be an advantage fishing this rh bank, took me a good while to get my left hand casting going and now on certain days prefer it and no issues whichever bank Ifish, Try this cast, all fingers and thumbs in the beggining, success will come good luck, Ill be at the BFFI this year
I see Karla had a wee grin after she knew your were safely up the bank 😅. She looked pretty concerned before. Its easy to get your line stuck in trees if its near deep water it can get worse quite quickly. The Tweed is a lovely river to fish isn't it. I had my first go on it last year I will definitely be back.
I need to buy you a fire extinguisher for that van. I've given up with shooting heads and running lines, I found my wet hands and the running line a pain to handle. , have a look at the composite lines from Gaelforce or Rio. Its a tapered effect from the main head of the line into the running line. And Just fish that with a combination of different tips (loop to loop) Ive had both and am currently using the Gaelforce on my 13 footer, and it is excellent.
From the colour of both the head and running line on the spool, that floating line looks like one of John Norris’s Atlantic integrated spey heads. I have one and for the price it is excellent, but no longer available.
....you've more beats than the Tweed!! 😁
Sweeeeeet!! Keep’em coming man! Loving it
