The situation involved Soulja Boy selling knock off game consoles that contained roms of games from other companies like Nintendo and Sega. Then he was brought to Nintendo of America head quarters, and he begged Reggie to let him go, but Reggie told him, "After you scrubbed all the floors of Hyrule, then we can talk about mercy!" Soulja Boy was still hungry though, so he pulled out his toaster, because all toasters toast toast. This angered Reggie, because Soulja Boy has yet to scrub any Hyrulean floors. Which prompted Reggie to shout, "You must DIE!" Then Soulja Boy melts into a puddle, which made him cry, "You killed me!" Which Reggie replied with, "Good!"
I remember his last twitter post saying everything was legit and "My console isn't going anywhere"... Well now it's REALLY not going anywhere.

Tbh it feels kind of unfair that he gets away with trying to sell videogames from other companies while the couple from the Rom site has to pay 12mln dollars. Not saying that they had any right to share those roms, but man here's what the difference in power and social status can do.
Seems like you don't know the specifics of that case. They had over 60 million downloads of Nintendo roms off their website. They also had ads on their websites and received donations. They actually got off easy with 12m and I doubt Nintendo will actually collect it. Big difference then Soulja Boy ATTEMPTING to sell bootleg hardware with questionable software installed. Nintendo likely sent him a cease and desist before too much monetary damage could be done.

I'm heartbroken. My whole childhood was in these soljaaa game consoles. I got one for Christmas and it came with all these games. My favorite had to be solja fighter 2 on the SNES category. I always use to pretend my imaginary friend really sucked at the game and I was better than him because he sucks ass. I'm sad now. Iwata's death has nothing on this. Just a heads up about E-Win. The chairs are not worth the money. Have had mine for almost 2 years. Stitching is poor, "leather" is poor (yes i know it's fake, its poor quality fake leather). It took 8 months to get customer support. They didn't do anything until i eventually called them out on twitter. They screen feedback. Which is why you see 0 negative reviews. I knew Anbernic would be pissed at Souljaboy for drawing so much attention to this. Anbernic was sliding under the radar for so long, but now they're toast because of him. Nintendo skewered the ROM sites, so if he thinks he's immune just because he's rich and famous, he'll have to "boss up" (🙄) even more because that just means that Nintendo will be salivating all the more.

@@gcforreal Emulators are legal, but the roms usually aren't. And if you try selling them, that's when it becomes a problem. That Soulja was acting as if he made these and they were his brand. The whole thing was just a unique level of stupid.

@@gcforreal I don't know about the bittboy if it comes loaded or not. And to be honest emulation probably helps nintendo more than it hurts it. I mean Secret of Mana became a bit of a cult classic largely due to emulation because they weren't that common of a cart, hell most of the carts you'll find for sale are reproductions. And Star Fox 2, was only playable through emulation because it was never released. And Mother/ Earthbound is like a 300 dollar cart. If it wasn't for emulation, and roms out there, these wouldn't have been selling points to the SNES classic, and probably NIntendo wouldn't have felt a need to make the classic NES/SNES, and they sold a few million each.

BTW Nintendo only owns a small handful of game IPs like Mario, Donkey Kong, etc. The rest of the nearly 700 NES and SNES ROMs are still owned by 3rd parties many of which have already stated they don't care if you download their ROMs because they are over 2 decades old. If Nintendo wanta to go after ROM sites they should only ask to take down ROMs that they actually own the IP to. There's also a thing called video game history and I have downloaded complete ROM packs of various consoles for archiving. I will always support ROMs and emulator sites, Nintendo can go to hell.

"Unavailable" can mean a lot of things, like sold out, or seller pulled their FBA inventory (usually by having it shipped back to them, or, less often, disposed of), or FBA inventory is currently in transits between Amazon warehouses (though usually those just get "ships in [time period]" or "expended on [date]"), or if Amazon pulled the inventory for one or more of dozens of reasons (or none, I've literally seen them pull inventory with no explanation then put it back a days-weeks later). In this case, its likely either sold old after the coverage, or the 3rd party seller pulled it or Amazon pulled it for them after getting something like a C&D.

that's really interesting considering his website in the last month only got 500k views. to make millions on the units would require at least half of those visiting to buy the unit (remember he's drop shipping so he only gets about 10%-20%)

Selling even 500,000 units at average of 150 dollars each, cost him. 100.dollars each (assuming he isn't getting a discount and paying retail) makes 50 dollars each unit x 500,000 (most likely more sold) that's about 25 million profit he made, minimum.
He's gonna be known as the idiot who tried selling rom consoles as his own and dumb enough to actually sell it with roms with the original code inside. He's gonna be shat on by tech savvys for eternity and that's enough for me.
