Your 'Expression's' Are Super Fun.( 4:26..min. )...while Kevin's Cutting The Jeep Frame!!...Hardly Wait till yah get the 'CAMPER' On HER!...SOLID!! Cheers From Canada!
no.... why did you buy a jeep of all things for this? im sorry i like that your doing what you want, but you kinda lost me dude. I dont get the end game here
Absolutely friggen wild.. I couldn't believe Kevin chopped the frame with just a Sawzall.. makes sense after seeing the newly fabricated frame fit right into the existing frame and now strong as ever.. Just so damn cool
PHIL!!! Along way from the Sunrader dude!!! Loving this Jeep build!!! Can’t wait for the next episode!! Still wondering if you need more ponies and torque under the hood, but only time will tell!! Keep it up dude!!!
Nice man.. im getting a 76 Jeep J10 gladiator. But the last 2-3 feet of frame is jist paper.... but i found another 8ft frame in great shape.. However i REALLY do not wanna.. remove the cabin.. engine trans transfercazd.. axles and swap ALLL that over. So i think ima jist take the bed off. And cut the 3 feet of frame rot off.. and swap in the 3 feet of good frame. And then diamond shape plate weld it for strength at the cuts.. and probsbly use big grade 8 bolts too in case. Im sure thatll be fine. And much easier than swapping every component over to the new frame. I have a shop but no engine trans crane or any of that..
Holy Crap dude! Is Bison Overland down with this mod from a mounting standpoint? Pretty sick having a spare 40" down low. Makes me want to have Nichols Auto Fab do a lift on my 2021 F150, have friends in Prescott I need to visit anyway. Sent Happy a pic of the new truck back in April, plain Jane XL 2 door short box 4X4 with a 5.0 Coyote V8. Spent the money on tech & capability stuff like the 360 camera system, payload/towing upgrades etc.
@down2mob overland did you keep the Icon Vehicle Dynamics stage 8 kit with the new Dana 60 axles and new tires and if so did you guys have to make any modifications to the axles to make it work? I just ordered their billet stage 8 kit for my JT and after watching your install video and seeing the high quality of the components I'm super pumped! Definitely will be my biggest change so far. Badass Rig Dude!
A bit baffling to me, as there are plenty of good and sturdy swing out tyre carriers, and I would find any on of them easier to use than groveling on the ground to pull it out from under the chassis, as the lift chain has to be unhooked from the middle of the wheel so you will have to drag it out and upright it, not a way I would choose, but hey each to his own right.
Hello, could you measure how much the gladiator bed weighs by itself?... something I've been very curious about... to compare it to PCOR beds. Thank you for always making awesome videos 😊
@@mtnbound2764 I'm not sure it's so much the right truck as it's the long term effects of what he's having built. It would be better if he were to move the axel back about a foot just to have better stability for the rig. There will be a lot of weight on it. I love what he's doing but to have it last longer that might be the thing to do. But hey that's just my two cents. ;)
Too bad its so tough to slieve the frame in another 3 feet. Stiffen it up n make it stronger so it dont fold in half like pics I've come across of gladiators with bent frames from towing heavy trailers.
Pretty sure all those people backed into a hole or backstop of some kind and turned the trailer into a lever at the hinge/ball mount point. All the pics I've seen indicate bending from an angled compressive force not a towing tension force. As an example, going up a hill with a wash out at the bottom and backing back into it with enough speed/force to f*ck sh*t up. Dorky engineer speak.
@@zonacrs I've noticed in the last 25 years trucking. 99 out of 100 people have no idea how to load a trailer. This could have lots to do with the pics. My reason for thinking about sleeving the frame is the idea of the stiffness of a flat bed plus the shack then going on sick jeep trails and twisting forces over the years will add up.
@@endurotruckererniedesjardins Exactly. It is the load and their potential impact on bending and twisting forces that matter. More importantly when they occur. As a trucker you probably know more about that than me. As a simpleton who happens to be an 'engineer', I just try to avoid potential bending or twisting moments which rarely occur under normal towing circumstances with proper load distribution.
@@zonacrs so as a engineer, you know all frames are built to take load centered between the 2 axles. By moving the load rearward on the frame by extending lengths with a small shack on the flatbed, the load will cause lift at the front of the gladiator, kinda like a rear heavy loaded trailer with lots of tongue weight, same idea. Pics I've seen suggest the frame bends just behind the rear cab mount. I guess time will tell if my theory is right.
What's with the guy strapped with the revolver in the beginning? Are you afraid somebody's going to steal your catalytic converter in front of all of you while the tub is off the jeep?
I'm not having a heart attack it's your jeep not mine that they're cutting As to more people should do it I wouldn't spend 50k for a jeep just to cut it up.

Very cool, your build has been a long time coming, you guys just showed the world how to build a gladiator animal, what departure angle
This is exciting! Love the progress bud

The scariest modification yet, the question is, are YOU Down 2 Chop it up?!

The Jeep is going to look so cool with the camper on it.
PHIL!!! Along way from the Sunrader dude!!! Loving this Jeep build!!! Can’t wait for the next episode!! Still wondering if you need more ponies and torque under the hood, but only time will tell!! Keep it up dude!!!
Hello Phil and Koda. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Damn. That TH-cam money must be rolling in.
You should make your own channel and find out.
WAIT !!!!!! a bobbed gladiator !!!!! mint!!!!
Have Kevin cute your hair. Like the build.
It’s got a hella good departure angle now!

Looking good 👍
keep putting content out on this puppy you sick puppy lol
This just turned into a sema build 😂
The craziness continues, good luck with this modification, hope this one works for you.
Gonna need a good back up camera now lol
That would make a sweet 4-door Jeep Scrambler.

Be too add storage boxes in front and behind the tire's..
Looking good. Please don’t trash the Jeep once it’s done. :)
Are the mount locations still going to work for the Bison?

Im a big fan of the sawzall
I hope you're moving those rear wheels back further 4 weight distribution anyways can't wait to see the build
I guess that voids the warranty! LOL

Amazing brow💪💪

You should bring your jeep home to Toledo for the show this year just thought 😉
Congrats on your modifications.....What's the name of the shop that helped you with this?
Bad financial decisions make excellent content!
Sema ready soon enough
Braver than me... hacking up a perfectly good Gladiator! ;-)
this is dopeeeeee
40's & Dana 60. Cool, but the next thing to break is your transfer case. Any upgrades?
Love it
I went and snuck a peak of the JT. 😉
What motor are you running in your Gladiator Phil?
I suppose that voids the warrenty.
well apparently driving through a mud puddle does so i guess the bar is pretty low!
Hello, could you measure how much the gladiator bed weighs by itself?... something I've been very curious about... to compare it to PCOR beds. Thank you for always making awesome videos 😊
Can I buy the bed? I wanna build a tow trailer with it.
Still not at a million? Must be my connection or something.
NGL I was hoping for a shorty build. This is cool though.
Does this void your warranty
No, Why would it?
Is Wrangelr hardware metric?
1:28 SAFETY GLASSES!!!
Don't end up getting foreign bodies dug out of your cornea. It's not fun.
Nothing like chopping on a new truck "sweet".
Can't wait until you throw as Ls motor in there..
This needs to be top comment so Phil sees it
I'd love to chop a Gladiator into a two door with a little bit of extended cab.
Yo I'm down to mob the first week of June, where we going?
The only question is...are you down to BOB...you're Jeep
You can build a trailer out of the bed and was left of the chassis
Should have bought the right truck in the first place. Creating a FrankenGladiator is a formula for constant disaster.
It's good content though 👌
"Creating a FrankenGladiator is a formula for constant disaster."
Yep.
Please tell us all with your infinite wisdom, what is "the right truck?"

Ram power wagon with 6.4liter lockers and winch been my choice
What are you silly? I’m still pulling the bed
Wow
When is the ls3 swap happening? Lol
Yeah that’s gonna void the warranty hahaha

Dam, youtube must pay good!
I'm here to talk to you about your cars extended warr.....um, nevermind 🤐
The welds are already all rusty
All that work and you couldn't keep the tubing seam towards the inside...
Hellcat swap soon ????
The welding of the frame looks like it was done by Stevie Wonder while wasted & handcuffed........
Looking GOOD. WonderHussy back into a BIG Rock. YIKES ! she's needs a new bumper 🤯😜🇫🇮 in
So, you think this mod will void your warranty? 😀😂😀😂😀😂😀
Do a quik lift on that Cherokee and make $
I'm not having a heart attack it's your jeep not mine that they're cutting

I want to sell the bed off of it
Too bad that extending the frame doesn’t increase the payload capacity
Yeah I was thinking he's going to need to extend those rear wheels back 4 his payload
Love your stuff bro but please get your videos in some kind of order. Lol.
Dont need 40s on a jeep
really , too much
