Can already do this, I have my timeline on my 35inch, scopes on my iPad and playback on my LG 5k. Can do all of this on 17, would assume its the same on 18

I very much doubt you have military clients at all, as I said in another comment, if you had military clients and handled data sensitive enough to justify airgapping, you would not be advertising that fact on TH-cam. First I thought, ok, I just need a antimalware app update, but it turned out, this worm was out for few months already and none of the antivirus companies had a solution. Actually it was a Cerber 2 what I got. Trying to find a solution for my 7 years of data/life I found out a forum which I joined and followed the stories of people who had the same problem. Among many an example of an architect company who lost 10 years of projects is what I remember right now. They were willing to pay 500$ to unlock their valuable projects but something went wrong and as they payed, nothing happened. Few others had similar experience and there was also a case of computer actually burning while trying to encrypt... It was a nightmare. And thanks to this forum for which I turned on the notifications, some 3-4 weeks later I got the message in the middle of the night that some russian guy made an encrypter, so I woke up and unlocked my computer files. Life is not to take very seriously but if one can prevent such things, it is good that there are solutions.

The download option is still there though. Along with all versions going way back (I regularly download 16.3.2 from their website as I hop between it and other versions somewhat regularly on multiple computers).
Given that the Ursa Broadcast G2 can be remote controlled over the internet, and this update introducing their various centralized cloud systems, I have to wonder if they're going to add the ability to stream UBG2 directly to their various cloud systems. As you said this changes EVERY THING, because if one could stream their footage from any future camera they make to their cloud systems as a remote redundant back up adding yet another additional level of footage safety, particularly if one were doing something dangerous with a camera, like a crash cam.
I like the fact that the cloud store doesn't need to be connected to the internet or has subscription. But I think I can make a similar server with kind of the same specs for cheaper. Obviously I'll have to do a lot of learning but I think it's doable. LTT does a lot of custom storage solutions for their own yt channels.
I think it has to do with being integrated with Blackmagic's software. Which if you really want to have fast processing editing, this thing is insane for big production houses. Would make more sense to take that $300 one and connect it to your NAS if you wanted to build your own
Still on 16 as version 17 started deleting tracks when projects were stored on a project server and had collaboration enabled. BMD basically said it's not their concern and won't look into it further; they recommended I change my setup to not feature multiple computers accessing the project server. Yet, how am I supposed to use collaboration otherwise...?

The new magic mask looks great - but it's not in the first beta release The depth map is pretty cool for adding some post fog/haze etc, although it's not a perfectly solid depth compared to some I've seen
Todays Davinci18 update, my cpu is having issues digesting it. So Just ordered from Amazon the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X to be delivered tomorrow. Q: Blackmagic Cloud Pod?. Does it solve the storage issues? Or do i still have to buy more Hard drives or a NAS to store my footage?

Great news...I was using Replay Dropbox but will probably go directly to Blackmagic...one question did they solve (improve…) the computing hungry denoise FX? Still very happy with 4K,6K. By the way zhonghyi Speedmaster 25mm T1 is really incredible on the 4K no need for FF with it...

@@FrameVoyager I will have to download Davinci Resolve 18 when I get home I'm trying to find out if I can Edit ProRes Raw within Davinci Resolve, or do I still have to use a raw Converter to cDNG files in order to edit Raw. From what I'm readying I guess it can take Braw files and covert into proxies ProRes 1080p so faster editing workflow I guess. I thought it meant I can upload my ProRes raw Sony files directly into Resolve and Edit. But I don't think that's the case. Still no ProRes raw support. 😩.
@@FrameVoyager Atomos still supports it on their Ninja V. Take the FX3 for instance. Apple does not handle ProRes Raw well on FCPX but Resolve would, given it has been handling RAW formats for years

Although, some features only exists on cut and edit pages. Yeah, it's a fun little tool. I honestly can't say it would change your life or anything. The full size edit keyboard might, but it's hard to justify the cost if you really don't spend 8 hours s day using it.

The good about Blackmagic is because they own both hardware and software, so they can always optimize their products way better than Adobe.

There also I'd a way to get it working on DVR 17. A German TH-camr made a video about thos a couple of weeks ago.
