- Today I go to look at another cheap Chaing Mai Thailand condo in the heart of the city, and in a great location for anyone wanting to stay around the Nimman area. Pansook Condos is a well know rental in Chiang Mai and could be perfect for someone. The vlog didn't get off to the best of starts, as I went to the wrong Pansook. This place would be ideal for a digital nomad or someone wanting to stay around the Huay Kaew or Sntitham area.

This is really nostalgic for me. When I was in Chiang Mai in 2019-2020 I rented a one bedroom at the Pansook. My apartment was on the 4th floor and I can tell you that it was extremely noisy because of traffic on Huaykaew Road and air traffic from the airport. I paid $350 per month plus utilities but it did not have a washing machine but I was able to use the community machines on the first floor behind the office..When I arrive on December 8, 2022 I booked a week at the Pansook Urban Condo while I look for a permanent place.
Nice one Pat! Pansook Urban looks like a better option, Huay Kaew can get noisy that's for sure. 👍

That road is busy most of the time. Traffic often backs up and the noise level can be unnerving. The Pansook Urban and Cosy are better. Keep in mind no pool or gym. It is a big unit but since Kad Suan Kaew closed there is no market and fewer places to eat or even buy coffee. The closest market is Rimping at Maya.
Yeah sure, it's a busy area, lots going on 👍. Pansook Urban looks good for someone.
My stepson had a small apartment in the area, and I have to admit that it's not the greatest area for food & refreshments.

Great video Wayne, those apartments were a great space for the price. It was just a bit noisy for me on the road, I’m like you I like to stand on my balcony and hear peace and quiet lol. Keep them up.

Agree with you Wayne. Big apartments but probably could do with a cosmetic reno. Second room looked brighter and cleaner than the first. Added a mango plant a week ago to my collection of tropical plants. My banana palm is looking better and I'm growing my first pineapple. Interesting to watch.
It was big but very dark. Not the worst place but not for me. Nice one Doug, i would like to grow my own fruit. Pineapple sounds interesting.
I probably wouldn't do that condo, mostly because of the noise on the balcony and lacking a proper mountain or jungle view.
There are so many places, both condos and townhomes, off on a little side alley (soi) for similar pricing, or even lower, and even steps away from Nimman. I shared a townhouse with another American retired lady, directly across from Maya Mall steps from Furama and my cost was less than $250 per month. Shoulda seen my HUGE covered balcony, man. It was heaven!
Yes, this area is a very lively place. Not for the chilled traveller. Sounds like you had a nice house Beverly 👍.
I hope your channel grows Wayne and making these videos yes I thought 15 000 but I would pay that if I retired or stayed 3 month per year but for 15 000 I think you should have a pool and gym only thing Wayne . Just hope your channel grows keep doing these videos a mix Wayne thanks mate

Hi Wayne...just come back from a month in Chiang Mai, so I recognized that startling brightly colored new building at the top of the street...a high-end car service place, I think.
Always nice to see a range of places in different areas. Keep this coming.
Btw, thanks a lot for putting me onto Wat E Kang. Easy to get to with a Grab and definitely worth a visit ! Wat Chet Yod was another place I saw for the first time...easy to walk to from Maya Mall ( it's on the same side of the road). For those who prefer the old Northern Thai brickwork to lashings of gold leaf 😂

The first Pansook is in a area I'm looking for it. I really like the Green hill 3 behind Maya Mall. Prices start at 10.000 bath per month and they have pool and gym. Probably gonna rent there again as i cant find anything with similar price in the heart of Nimman.

The first Pansook is far better...No road noise. Also...What is the best way to find a small house in the Don Kaeo area, north of the city. Anywhere under the flight path of Chiang Mai aircraft is torturous. There is a lot of good information on this channel, I think.
The Pansook Urban is a nice area , not to noisy. I would get an agent or head out looking myself. You will find the best deals if you head out looking yourself. Thanks.

Please do take a look at the Urban. Initially I thought the apartment was a bit small, then I looked at my place here and realised this is smaller . . . And with a decent shelving unit under the air-con, my vinyl collection might have a chance of surviving the heat.
I think I'll stick to the plan of settling in Mae Hong Son, though :)

That's just down the street from me and across from where I buy bahn mi. Nice big place but kind of dark.

Hi really enjoy your videos. We are a couple in their 50s moving to Chiang Mai for 3 months from December. Wanting 1 bedroom - separate, in not too noisy area, under 20k THB per month. Any suggestion on area to look, was thinking about Santitham? Also any good leasing agents to approach? Thanks for any advice on this.

Yes, i've done a few over the years, on my channel. I've not done one for this year yet though. I get a bit bored of doing them now. Depends how bad it gets. It's not very nice here today, hazy mountain.
It's a bit dark for my taste. Especially the kitchen area. Value for the price also i did not find so good. But nonetheless thanks for the video. I always enjoy condo reviews. By the way, i stayed at the Dome a few years ago for one month. It was 5000 Baht/month back then including weekly cleaning. Very good place indeed. Cheers!
The lights was really dim for some reason. The owner was really desperate to rent it out. Maybe he will need to lower the price a bit. I really like the Dome street, i must take a look in and do a vlog sometime. It's not an area for me but great for tourists. Thanks mate.
