We have been asking for this for years at this point Citizens. Maybe it's time to flood #starcitizen with "Finally make Subscriber Items Useable again!" I want you to think a price plus a timer like Citizen Frozen came up with for balance and a universal item limit. Then literally add anything else after that to tweak the balance. Boom our first prototype of something that is intended!
Yeah cause with this variation of the mistake you do the repair after the claim to get the guns back. If you leave the guns on the racks and do repair you don't get charged. If it's empty or some are missing you get charged for all of the stuff thats missing. About as close to a feature I have seen so far on the second time around.
@@pedraaaa railguns are not only from the contested zones bro, idk who told you that but its 100% false. Same as for the accessories, you can find those in normal bunkers as well albeit a bit more rare.
@@pedraaaa That is where balance needs to come into play before the feature can happen. Railguns bro are super easy to get. You can get scorched and railguns plus snipers from bunkers. Yes regular freaking bunker missions. You'll have so many damn everything after one day you begin to question why you do the contested zone other than for the random ship at the end.
@@pedraaaa yes, I 100% agree with you. Just wondering how they can make this work. Possible fix, that only store purchasable items can be insured and or restocked?
I'm also of the opinion that the repair function is a convenience, not a cheating mechanic, since you _do_ actually spend ingame resources to make it work.
Quite offensive that they haven't, considering people spent real money on pledge gear they just lose. I know the disclaimer says it's a pledge not a purchase, but it still feels very disrespectful from their end.
Yesterday I loaded up my zeus with about 100k worth of armor, weapons, ammo etc... I headed to Pyro and landed at Ruin Station where I was going to store all the extras and set a spawn point. The first thing I did after landing was to try and open up the repair and refuel app in the mobiglass, however due to a game bug it would not open, and after about the third try of trying to get into it "BOOM" the ship exploded... I respawned in a med bed at Crusader L1 in Stanton where I started; all was lost... I've been playing Star Citizen for seven years and between all the resets and wipes, I have, at times, lost as much as I have made do to bugs, so if there is an exploit or feature that can compensate for all the game breaking bugs - why is anyone crying foul...!
Exactly. I do not understand why some Citizens drew lines in the sand and made arguments instead of solutions. Like an actual insurance system that covers items purchased. it can even cover a commodity as long as there is a set percentage as a price and a timer to stop wide scale duping. Anything else is just fine tuning the solution.
I posted this before. Paying to restock weapon lockers, or in the future armor lockers? Awesome FEATURE. Needs to be in the game. Duping commodities and the like, BUG, and wipe. If someone has a problem with it, then as you stated, they need to have a problem with military and stealth components being replaced with a claim. And the ship that you get for finishing a CZ, needs to be 1 death and it's gone.
Or an added fee over the base model of greater than sell value so there is a net loss plus time loss for dupers. The problem is finding that line where it doesnt destroy salvaging gameplay like it has in the past. If you want the cool stuff though time to pay aUEC. However for that magic world to truly work there would need to be far less bugs crapping us up, getting us killed.
I really enjoy your content, happy that you got me on board with SC aswell (Found your channel because of your Elite Dangerous videos). Wish you the best, see you in the verse.
My argument is that if I loose 1mil aUec in a game crash it is of no concern to CIG because it is an "alpha" but please do not create more of your subscriber items due to a game bug that there own devs seemed to overlook. It is ridiculous to even mention a ban in this regard. As much as I enjoy the game I cannot help but feel that we are heading to a disaster.
I get where you're coming from Citizen. We the people have asked for a feature like this especially for subscriber gear since the freaking dinosaurs roamed the earth all those years ago. I'm not even kidding it feels that long at this point.
I've got to say that your content has helped a lot! I really liked your new player guide, and it helps a lot for experienced players too with routes and upgrades!
Good take on this, I agree completely. I will admit that I tried to insurance fraud to upgrade parts on some ships in 4.0. The parts always disappeared from my inventory, even right off of the ship they were put on. Even when I transfered better parts from ships that I don't use to ones that I do in the loadout manager, those parts disappeared also. That is a problem and too aggressive. If I take a js300 from a Bucaneer to put on another ship... That js300 should not dissappear. Even parts salvaged from ships found in the verse dissappear, not sure what the logic is for parts that can be salvaged. Thanks for hooking up this chance to win a Gaurdian, we appreciate you. Also your new player guides are the best on the internet, like it's not even close. I've been playing for 2 years and I still book marked your 4.0 guide.
When the restocking fee“dupe” first happened, I used it to the full extent. It was the biggest convenience I’ve ever seen in the game at the time I don’t really get a whole lot of free time to play so I have to constantly restock my weapon racks anytime my shit either bugged out or I crashed or I died or my shit blew up. It was great to have essentially item insurance so that I wasn’t wasting game time on admin junk.
Always love your vids. I completely agree with the topic of subscriber gear (and any other items that get attributed to your account). I don't use them, period, because of fear of loss. We need a solution.
love to have a guardian, i been seen videos from you long time ago when i was playing elite dangerous and got all i want there. love to have another ship that is not just the game package one on star citizen best of luck and thanks for your videos that helped me in the transition to Star Citizen.
I think that it's rather disappointing that we still don't have an option to reclaim lost subscriber gear. I'd even go ahead and say that people should be allowed to claim their bound store/subscriber gear for free at least once a day.
Hey Hawkes, finally more space sim videos from you! You're one of my favorite TH-camrs, and I've really missed your videos. Regarding the topic of duping, I completely agree with you. I haven’t tried it myself, but in 99% of cases, you lose your stuff due to bugs anyway. So being able to get your gear back with a small workaround is great, in my opinion. If someone uses it to multiply their gear tenfold, well, it is what it is. CIG should implement a proper item ID system that works, and this wouldn’t even be an issue.
They can track items and players already. CIG so far has only gone after aUEC sellers. This was a wake up call but it seems people might need another reminder if they take it to extremes. Trust me they can tell quantities of items sold. They can also track it back to players. They can at anytime take it to the next level and go look ma dudes. We are getting closer to release after 4.0. We need testers at this point not exploiters. Make a clear definition. It really all boils down to self control. Some have it and some don't even bother to care as long as they get rich. I can imagine at full release something like that would be bannable and not just a paddling and a vacation via a suspension.
Very happy to have you pop back up on my feed Hawkes. I have been watching you since my elite dangerous days and have always enjoyed your content. I hope all is doing OK on the home front.
Great video. CIG has had years to put some kind of workflow into the game to allow us to get back gear we paid actual money for. They opted not to do that so I have no issues with this at all!
I really do wish they would offer some kind of in-game service for getting subscriber items back. I have items I'd wear around more freely, but don't simply because losing them means they're gone until the next wipe... which is getting longer and longer. EDIT: To further note, one thing that'd solve some of the 'store duping' (duping an item but still paying for it) is if CIG took notes from Eve Online. If players could buy and move parts around and offer to sell at a station or city with a spaceport, it'd be interesting to have a buying terminal for those parts. People could then charge more for a component to make some money back, and people could buy the convenience from another player to avoid doing the shuffle of hopping everywhere.
They could just add a system that ask you if you want to reclaim the ship as stock for free or with the upgrades/items inside for the extra fee. Could be extended to personal armor you are wearing when you die with a kiosk at the hospital that gives you the free sperm suit or you pay to get the original gear back. Still need to figure out the wole "sub gear/rare loot" thing, but for now it would be good since we deal with buggy deaths far more than legit ones most of the times.
Early days yet for the economy and stability to be worried about dupe mechanics (insurance). There's a reason vendor trash is just that - even with a fee, creating infinite items from nothing isn't going to be good for rewarding gameplay loops or economy/industry. Speaking of, I've noticed some interesting behaviour in the Cutty Red since we could lock armour directly to the grid...
I think there are (at least) three different cases in duping items. 1) out of the shelf items you can buy in a shop anyway, 2) unique and/or hard to find items you can't buy and 3) subscriber items/reward items/etc. Duping #1 is no problem, as you can buy them anyway. #2, CIG could just mark them with a different asset tag so that getting them back by repairing would delete the original item, wherever it may be (there are some problems in this as well) and #3, they absolutely should be returnable by repairing or whatever whenever the player wants that. This is roughly what I think, of course there are many points to consider under each point...
I agree with the differentiation of duping and “game mechanic”. An item timer, and UEC looks like a solid alternative to this drama. Nice to see you back Hawkes!
Hey Hawkes, personally I'm looking forward to the day we can load up out ships with weapons, armour AND vehicles at ASOP. If the ship has space for that sort of stuff of course. Weapon and armour lockers and vehicles loaded in the hold should be reclaimable just like the rest of ship components (weapons, internals, etc.). This is my opinion of course and I hope we'll see it in game one day.
The insurance issue will be resolved once they implement the tiered insurance plans. Right now you get back whatever you have installed but in the future you will have to pay extra insurance and I’m sure it won’t be cheap, then it becomes the same as paying for the item. Also I’m sure they can restrict what items can be claimed this way. So although right now that is an issue I think they already have a fix for it and in the current alpha state not that impactful. Also cool video and I agree with all. I also really like salvage and would not want that to disappear. I mean we clean the verse!!
Refilling all the weapon racks manually is such an annoyance, I personally do not mind that weapons slotted with in the weapon racks can be recovered. Whether it be by repair or by claiming the ship back. As long as a fee is applied for replacing said weapons I do not see much issue with that. When it comes to items you can not actually buy, but loot... CIG should implement some kind of rarity system that labels what is rare and exclude those from being replaced. For weapons / armors purchased with real money, there needs to be another terminal similar to ASOP but for weapons and armors to claim them back.
That is the most truth I have ever heard in my life. Nobody could possibly hear that tiny drop in the ocean compared to all the pitchforks and torches over ship claiming.
Great video. I want to see them allow the subgear and restocking fee items to remain until they release an actual system to support reclaiming subgear.
So far, I have only just tested intended game play in 4.0. Thankful to not have run into any of the locking or dying bugs. Just some missions not completing. I was happy to salvage four size three Pyro Attrition repeaters off of a destroyed freelancer I came across. but disappointed that they won't stay attached to my C1 Spirit.
I'll never have issue with insurance covering personal items like weapons, attachments, gear, clothing, nicknacs etc with or without a "fee" for such. So many in SC don't use gear or clothing or weapons they have from subscriber things, let alone stuff they picked up in the verse to display on their ship with other stuff.. because it'll all get yeeted. I love the Novikove suit, I've got two of the silver/gold ones from the shop. I'm always majorly bumbed when something beyond my scope of infulence/control like bugs or AI going from derpy to assasins then back cuz server rate flux. So ya, insurance should cover /alot/ of personal property. not just ships.
I have enjoyed these kinds of arguments in the past with games like EvE Online and other online economics. For my side I would say, if you paid for it then it's yours to do with it as you please. Now that does not mean we should not consider the cost paradox. Like you pointed out the costs of ships and their recovery are not anchored in reality. They are arbitrary and for the purpose of testing I would imagine. Thus, these kinds of issues often arise in Alpha/Betas from people who are wanting to play the game before the testing is worked out. I think I have been games in test now for 26 years and in every batch of community joins we find a large pack of exploiters. It's great for getting all the shifty and shady things out front and center. Other things would be mission griefing when people get bored, they camp out mission spawn locations and PVP players, yet I digress the cesspool that includes these kinds of players is deep and wide. In any event, I would say that there needs to be a correlative cost to recover ratio that leverages the base ship stripped down cost and the a per module recovery fee. This could include things like recovering a stripped-down ship with only the most basic modules (customizable?) in the recovery screen before the insurance claim is purchased. Much like the Med Bay systems used now, when you register your ship for insurance, I hope in the future it will take into consideration the cost of all the modules registered with the ship. I really like the feature that lets you restock your armory by paying the insurance cost on the ship, that makes it very easy to restock for group runs or other mass content that may come in future testing phases. With any luck we will see market resilience to saturation with depreciated buys at locations over time much like any economic model. Further insurance claimed items can be flagged as "Recovered" to ensure a market depreciation or reduced/scrap only buyback? It is hard to say how we might devalue what others find value in regardless of how it was acquired. Much of this meets what I would call contract law. If you paid for the expectation of performance, you better get the contracted thing(s). With a well-crafted economic model these things will become arbitrary. //2cents\\
I agree, weapons like the P8AR was purcahsed with real money. People complain that you can claim these weapons again using ingame cash, but have no issue with using something like an Eclipse...spam the missiles for bounty hunting, and just claiming a fresh one.
Yes, I agree with you. The practice of removing weapons, components from a ship, storing them, and then reclaiming the ship to create duplicates is clearly fraudulent. If CIG has the capability to track player activities, it means they already have substantial data in their system. This data can be used to track the lifetime of an instance. We can speculate, but without knowing design and it's limitations. If they track players for cheating like this, but can't prevent it in the game, I suspect problem in design in first place, so to fix it reengineering required, and it could be a big pain. Easier track and ban playes, but I could be wrong, as I said without details it is speculation.
Thank you Hawks for speaking about this, If it is paid for it is not duping, this is just a false flag operation for CIG to draw away from all the real issues that CIG created - they have been screwing up plenty as is : ) Also CIG has Failed for years to provide in CIG web store items restoration. I stopped buying store gear, paints etc from them due to this - wallet closed. Also it is no surprise they keep bleeding good Devs and Staff members, most recent forced working huge workload hours and then firing them over the holidays. We need CIG to get their head reattached - get back to doing the right things . In development, get 4.0 out and bug fixed for PU to finally get a stable platform to build up from.
I think FPS (armor and weapon) item insurance is great. They should just tweak it so that you can only replace an item if its no longer in your inventory, that way you can't buy stacks and stacks of the item via insurance. Kind locks the achievements of acquiring certain armors and guns while allowing you to enjoy using them without fears of loss due to bugs or bad luck.
i love that your getting more videos out and that things are looking better for you guys! hope this year is going to be an epic one of mammoth proportions!
On one hand, yes, it's convenient to get the weapons back for the fee - but on the other - it works with railguns/snipers/etc. Stuff not available for purchase. For me it puts it on the same level as ship component dupe. I believe that it needs to be a feature - give us the option to fill the gun racks/suit lockers/food storage from the "Landing"/"Ship" menu - where you select your ship components for example. Like ship Loadouts, but for the extra bits. Convenience, as you've said ^^
Bro please tell me Youre in the SCA like me??? If so I am Viscount Sir Gregor Hawke! Perhaps your live steel anyways I also get the railguns and snipers as well as the mods. That is where it takes self control that not every Citizen in the verse actually has. One day there will be a balanced implemented way for item insurance. I very much look forward to using my subscriber gear on that day or whenever the unintended feature mutates into it's 3rd and 4th form along the way lol.
@@HawkesGaming SCA? No idea what that is tbh 😅 I've started playing barely a month ago, i'm just trucking along the 'verse in my Titan 😁 And yeah, i'm sure that one day there will be some version of this system, but untill then some people will use any and every exploit that they can, no matter the conditions. Btw, i'm very happy that you didn't share dupe info. The less of it floats around the better imo. It would have to be a massive player outrage for any dev to react - i'm qa for gaming company and i can tell you that it's very difficult for big companies to shift focus, by neccessity. But I've got faith in cig🚀
I fully agree with you, and for reference the P8-AR isn't much better (and in some ways its worse) than the s71. Who cares if they can get insurance "duplicates" of subscriber gear. We were promised a terminal, which is supposed to let us reclaim that gear anyway. This kinda fills that role, at least until that terminal is in game. So i draw no issue with this being used in this way. Paying for unlocked replacement gear, at a convenient location makes perfect sense to me. E.g. You start with the free copy, then as you progress and loose it, you can 'buy' a copy to replace it. (Possibly on a timer, to prevent outfitting the whole server with the item.) This would remove the need to for the dive into memory to remove the item as cig referenced before. I'd actually like to use the gear in my hangar without fear of loosing it, especially to an invisible asteroid, accidently warping through a station or planet, getting a landing gear or wheel stuck in the ground, or even a Pirate/PvPer/Griefer who ambushed me as I left port. As long as the replacement fees are appropriate, (not so small that they offer a significant advantage) I'm in favor of of this method, at least until the proper systems are in place.
Citizen Frozen thank you for the time it took to make your comment. I completely agree with your approach to balance. A price and timer is #1 and #2 on that list. Just those two options alone cuts back on a large scale influx of items on a daily basis. At best it becomes a trickle even with orgs involved compared to now. If CIG wants a solution I would start with you're recommendation and go from there to tweak the balance as they see fit.
There needs to be a way to claim insurance on items purchased in the pledge store. As it stands now, I have a feeling a lot of players will not purchase anything anymore until there is some solution. I get SC is still in alpha, but if they want more pledges for items, they need to find a solution.
I insured one of the P8 AR's. I hate losing stuff so it would otherwise sit in my inventory. Stuff actually purchased on subscriber store, not that I have much of that (1 - P6 LR) you can melt and just purchase it again with store credit. Just mentioning that because from spectrum posts I see people bitching about specifically losing site purchased items so they may not be aware of that.
I am very hopeful that crafting will fix all item recovery and subscriber/money items. Any item in the website just needs to be a blueprint you can craft if you have the needed mats. Done.
We should have a gear recovery feature since the first day CIG started selling them for real money. I can't blame people duping them so the, i repeat, paid gear, isn't lost until the next patch.
I agree with your views you should be able to back up your subscriber purchased items. I hope they don't have to do a full wipe because of all of this duping. Love the Crowder sign :) by the way. In the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along" lol
I agree if you "reclaim" the lost gear by paying auec, then it's not a problem. The only issue i have is the abuse of insurance fraud or other duping methods to duplicate items to sell for auec.
insurance or a way to replace your lost items should always be in the game. There should never be a hard cut off so you always lose something on death for equipment. Cargo/bounty/salvage being lost is supposed to be the punishment for failure. Now if you can duplicate items for free, then it is a bug that should be fixed.
Ah, that's why the ship guns I sold the other day from a salvaging contract only sold for like 900 auec. Thought that was a bit weird. (I'm still new to this)
Considering the number of hours lost to bugs and crashes, the small amount of time saved by “duping” gear seems like a small amount of payback, especially considering the cost of the repairs. As always, awesome vid Hawkes!
To me it is very simple. If you can buy it in a store, claim it and get it back. That's just quality of life. If it cannot be purchased (whether it is subscriber stuff, rare stuff from mission rewards or loot) then it should not be allowed and I believe after they fix it, they should wipe before next patch. As for if it is intended. I believe it is and is not. I believe they are working on making this work for appropriate items, as outlined above, but I believe the duping of the inappropriate items is an unintended consequence of them trying to make a qol update for the other stuff. If CIG has allowed duping of all of this stuff intentionally then it is a game-breaking mistake, and this would also not surprise me, but I'd be disappointed. I think it is overall a bug associated with a work-in-progress qol feature and as long as they wipe us soon, people having fun with it is part of testing and I'm good with that.
I think paying to restocking your gun rack is not an exploit. I lost my subscriber FS-9 yesterday and am filling my gun rack tonight after I buy another.😊
@El1qt Thanks. Read this while in queue. Oh well. See that FS-9 next-wipe I guess. Proof not all risks have a negative consequence. Clown Imperium Marketing through a fit that a feature went out without a ship sale. Coming to 4.1 I bet. o7
They already decided to fix it before I posted the video. I made a card at the very end letting people know CIG had already announced it wasn't as intended..
There is a hot patch which mentions will fix duplication exploits and is being rolled out to servers today. Imho, I do not have a problem with duplication as long as it is not for profit. On a wide scale it will affect the economy if it is.
I think it will be crafting that turns this around to just a skin aspect, I think CIG should make it so modded weapons through crafting should require time and resources and whenever an item is reclaimed through insurance it is the unmodded stock version they get back. If they chose to mod the item the risk factor is having to spend the time effort and resourses to mod it again, the higher the mod the longer it takes to get it back to that level after the item is reclaimed.
Elite dangerous has a similar sort of penalty on their on foot equipment like armor and weapons. You don't lose your mods if you die. However you can not change those mods either. Essentially you need to completely mod a different gun if you want different mods installed. Something needs to give though for people who own subscriber gear.
This is exactly what I believe. If they don't want you to be able to repurchase something, then put a flag on it. but if it is there and I am paying for it, that's my hard work.
If it's not a feature, it should be! Glad to see ya back on the reg. Do you think that putting the better/best components behind pvpve area loot areas breeds more dupers? It does make it more lucrative to dupe and sell to others or dupe for personal use... Right?
You can get those components from doing bounty missions as well so full PVE can still get them. I see your point though and yes people were selling gear and weapons as well. Profits were made by some even with the cost. Some items didn't have a cost though but a lot did. Regardless all it takes is self control. I can do that. Many Citizens can do that. Some can not do that cause they are Citizen Ferengi.
If im honest i don`t really care if people are duplicating items for convenience. Im more bothered that i got black screened two days ago roc mining and now i cant log in the game anymore without an infinite loading screen .
I am so sorry Citizen Leon! This should be fixed or extremely close to fixed. My buddy Warteck and I had this happen to use multiple times. The only way for us to get back in was to do 2 x character repairs one after the other because the first one wouldn't work but the second on would. The wait between repairs is 1 hours which is dumb but yeah. Give that a try if you can't get in. It worked for us multiple times.
I would just like a way to get my pledge gear/holiday gear back for when the game breaks and i fall through a planet, or die to one of the other numerous bugs.. even if i had to pay a little bit of AUEC to get them back, it would be better than losing them entirely until the next major patch.. However i do understand having to gather gear and it being annoying with how getting around a city or even a station is at the moment, I've fallen through plenty of elevators this patch and planets to the point where i am avoiding certain game-play loops just to keep my gear..
I'm a drive between the lines person and don't do this myself, but would like to be able to get back the flair and other stuff I have accrued if I lose it. Exploits are downright wrong tho, imho.
Random comment. Lol i need to try this game, i bought a ship like when they first went on crowdfunding and ive been waiting for a released game to play it. At this point im not sure it'll ever release. I was single and in school then, i have a wife and kid now...

@@HawkesGaming of you post it into spectrum, please add a link so anyone who agrees can add their support.
I think we should be able to do the restocking fee and keep our stuff. No one uses the ship to store their weapons, solely because of the bugs.
Yeah cause with this variation of the mistake you do the repair after the claim to get the guns back. If you leave the guns on the racks and do repair you don't get charged. If it's empty or some are missing you get charged for all of the stuff thats missing. About as close to a feature I have seen so far on the second time around.

We really need a feature like this. That doesn't rely on self control of the other Citizens around us. Something CIG likes and works for the players.
Yep, absolutely. Soon™.
Totally Agree, Gig need to make official gear insurance
People have literally been asking for this even long before I started to play Star Citizen many years ago at this point.

Anything else is just fine tuning the solution.
They can implement that as a feature. But right now, you’re right, it is the literal least of our concerns.
Very needed feature! But functioning servers are needed even more! Thanks!

@HawkesGaming totally agree. After filling my carrack racks on too many occasions, I would happily pay an extra fee
I really enjoy your content, happy that you got me on board with SC aswell (Found your channel because of your Elite Dangerous videos). Wish you the best, see you in the verse.
Nice Video, as always... One of your guides on NMS was what brought me here
I’m really glad I stumbled on your channel, great content.
100% agree on all counts. Restocking weapon racks at a cost doesn’t feel like a dupe to me. Nice work bud. 🍻

Thank you Citizen Origin!
Hawk is the most consistently useful & honest creator for Star Citizen I reckon. Love your work 👍🏼
Hey Hawkes, finally more space sim videos from you!
I like exactly where your thoughts are going Citizen!
Missed your videos on SC! Welcome back
Thanks for the guardian, hawkes! 😁Been watching all your space game content.... dude you are on nearly all the ones I play!
Always a good and informative video keep it up.
The priblem with duping is being able to dupe items that are not readily available, the the keys needed to get into executive hangers
100% agreed. I use it for my Web Hangar gear and weapons _every time._ Until Unique Item Recovery is in-game, it's a workaround *not* an exploit.
I agree with the differentiation of duping and “game mechanic”. An item timer, and UEC looks like a solid alternative to this drama.
Nice to see you back Hawkes!
Appreciate the update - hope life is treating you ok. o7
Love this vid, been getting back into the game recently! Enjoying the new update.
For weapons / armors purchased with real money, there needs to be another terminal similar to ASOP but for weapons and armors to claim them back.
lol I bet if cig changes ship claims to give back a stock ship people would stop talking about gear dupes
That is the most truth I have ever heard in my life. Nobody could possibly hear that tiny drop in the ocean compared to all the pitchforks and torches over ship claiming.
@@HawkesGaming this is exactly what they did unfortunately
I agree regarding the "insurance" not being a "dupe"... since it COSTS to buy another copy
Love your channel, been sumbbed since elite dangeorus!
Thank you Hawks for speaking about this,
If it is paid for it is not duping, this is just a false flag operation for CIG to draw away from all the real issues that CIG created - they have been screwing up plenty as is : ) Also CIG has Failed for years to provide in CIG web store items restoration.
Great input Hawkes, your a true SC, ED hero!
Think price plus timer with your limited universal limit.
Im glad to hear about duplicating items since id like to purchase some gear but was worried about losing it!
Preach It Brother!!!! 😁
i love that your getting more videos out and that things are looking better for you guys! hope this year is going to be an epic one of mammoth proportions!
Me too I have so much fire back I might burn!
Always appreciate your take sir! Keep em coming!
Hopefully bugs like these ones will be address in the next upcoming updates.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
thank you for covering this, I see people ranting in global (when it works) about this but wasn't sure
Grat vid as always, but I didn't undestood the restocking mechanic. What is the practical use?
No idea what that is tbh 😅
I've started playing barely a month ago, i'm just trucking along the 'verse in my Titan 😁
And yeah, i'm sure that one day there will be some version of this system, but untill then some people will use any and every exploit that they can, no matter the conditions.
I totally agree, paid -get items back is more QoL than an exploit.
Agreed, the "restocking fee" for the purchasable guns in the ship gunracks is fine and legit
One of the very few reasonable and logical looks at this issue.
always look forward to your videos!
Thanks for the update and I would love to own a guardian 🤞🏼
I agree with your views you should be able to back up your subscriber purchased items. I hope they don't have to do a full wipe because of all of this duping. Love the Crowder sign :) by the way. In the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along" lol
Thanks for the update.
(I'm still new to this)
If it were limited items/intentionally hard to find items I don’t think they should be restocked, but a regular gun and armor sure
I agree with paid gear my first time buying gear ended when I realized it was lost till next reset.
Thanks for your honest opinion
Actually, there was a study done that "choking the chicken" helps reduce a males risk of pancreatic cancer. The more you do it, the lower your risk.
I think paying to restocking your gun rack is not an exploit. I lost my subscriber FS-9 yesterday and am filling my gun rack tonight after I buy another.😊
They removed the exploit
@El1qt Thanks. Read this while in queue. Oh well. See that FS-9 next-wipe I guess. Proof not all risks have a negative consequence. Clown Imperium Marketing through a fit that a feature went out without a ship sale. Coming to 4.1 I bet. o7
Just here for the space cheddar, cheers Hawkes.🍻
even if they do decide to 'fix' the repair dupe they should add a way to reclaim the subscriber items
Nice pragmatic view on the subscriber gear!
I do agree some of the super rare items shouldnt be able to be duped or be ridiculously expensive
@@HawkesGaming Thank you for the advice, it worked first time i can go on to try and do some kneckbearding now : )
I'm not worried about this insurance for now, it will probably change 5 times more until version 1.0 is released. guardian you say... I'm in !
I have to agree, actually being able to play the game would be a nice bonus...
Like your insight on the game status
They should have added a store item reclaim kiosk a long time ago... They would even probably sell more gear from the store if it was in the game!
Ty for vids mr Hawkes
I have to agree about the subscriber items, they said they have a reclaim feature in the works but I don't know why its taking so long.
It's like a set price and a timer. Bam basic almost functional system. Anything else is just fine tuning the balance.
It's actually far closer than it ever has been before. Just wait for 4.0.1 to come out then give it another ride.
