I actually managed to capture an Idris by myself on the last day of the event. I had boarded it with two others, but they got downed and glitched so I couldn't revive them. I myself got gunned down, but then after about 30 seconds my character revived and I was unable to take damage for the rest of my assault of the ship. I worked my way up to the bridge and took over, during which time my team respawned and returned to the ship. My time as Captain was short lived though as I had been playing for about 5 hours by that point and my wife wanted me to get off and help with the kids. But that brief time was glorious, and the assault leading up to control was filled with anxiety as I didn't know when the game would decide to catch up and apply all the damage I'd taken.
In case this happens again, tell your wife: "Odin smiles on me, woman. This is the gods' will, for they have given me but a glimpse of their own power. Now be gone, wrench."

I boarded almost unarmed and had to kill-loot every single npc that came rushing, it was madness. Later a friend arrived but it took over 20 minutes to reach the bridge and clean it. The funny thing is that way prior to the boarding, I was trying to get in while in the middle of the xt mission, then the ship rammed me and I ended up inside, in the left turret room, so I killed a couple of npcs and rushed the bridge, and was downed the moment I killed the captain. So the mission completed and the idris never left.
