"Have you ever wondered what Star Citizen's endgame gameplay could look like or what it would be like to operate Star Citizen's capital ships with a crew?" Well... Janky. As expected.
I actually managed to capture an Idris by myself on the last day of the event. I had boarded it with two others, but they got downed and glitched so I couldn't revive them. I myself got gunned down, but then after about 30 seconds my character revived and I was unable to take damage for the rest of my assault of the ship. I worked my way up to the bridge and took over, during which time my team respawned and returned to the ship. My time as Captain was short lived though as I had been playing for about 5 hours by that point and my wife wanted me to get off and help with the kids. But that brief time was glorious, and the assault leading up to control was filled with anxiety as I didn't know when the game would decide to catch up and apply all the damage I'd taken.
In case this happens again, tell your wife: "Odin smiles on me, woman. This is the gods' will, for they have given me but a glimpse of their own power. Now be gone, wrench."
"A glimpse at a fraction of what endgame could look like..." I'm with so many others in that this game might be great someday. So many years though. I wasn't expecting much when this poped into my TH-cam feed, and I enjoyed your video. Sad to see this game still so very far from release.
imagine full on space fights with capitals like this one day in a game, with everyone controlling each turret and ship. maybe when we get better technology :)))
Thanks for the video! Just wana say that the easiest way to get on the Idris is fly nearby at full speed in QT mode and use eject button when you close enough. With this method I get on a board multiple times.
I think I know why the Javelin was consistently broken for Xenothreat. Its been missing its broadside turrets and front engine pods/winglets for all of 3.23, so it not even fully loading in properly has most likely broken its functionality.
We managed to get 4 Idris during the event, having it full crew with ships in the hangar and do hard missions and pvp is hella fun, glad you got to enjoy it as well. Such an awesome ship, can't wait for it to be officially in player hands! Nice work on the video, really enjoyed it!

You don’t have to put $1500 down on the game tho to play. Its literally just a donation tier with extra benefits which is worth it for the only worthwhile open-universe space game out there
I got in with the nox on full stealth first try driving out the back of a ship like that Bedbananas video somehow magically I had god mode (probably because of the ladders warping me around) and I went to the bridge killed everyone and activated self destruct because I was not gonna spend an hour killing AI
I was wondering why no one else tried this. The Nox seems like the perfect low-profile option to zoop right into the back of the Idris without incurring the wrath of those massive cannons or its flippity-do maneuovering.
@@Billy-bc8pk i tried it with a pulse and got insta zapped by the turrets. sometimes they shoot at you sometimes they dont. thats why people dont try it.
They need to implement ORG hangars where we can capture and store ships. Game loops, to scrap, modify, and legally insure it, but I doubt things will be so in debt for a looooooong time.
That game won’t be good, because it takes so long to made in 30 years we will have totally different kind of games.. and this game will be old… not anymore on the standards… so it’s doomed
If you have to physically move the bodies out of the ship to improve performance, shouldn't there be a tool that used to delete the body, maybe a meat grinder or some kind of laser
I got suckered into the game finally a week ago, and the game outside of ship to ship combat is unplayable. 10 year alpha and 700 million USD later, and you still get an unplayable product. idk, man. I'm not trying to talk shit, but it is what it is.
At this point it's really more of a proof of concept that people get to pay to test out. Really cool features, but not enough substance for me. I'm still waiting for them to fully wrap it up neatlly so that it feels like a full experience, and not like a complex tech demo.

This game is a crowd funded buggy mess. It's most impressive feat, is the number of players the Dev's have managed to defraud. Myself included, sadly. Your own opening comments are to highlight the sad state of gameplay: Ships barley functional. Janky player characters and poor movement. Flight mechanics that look like something out of a 2006 World of Warcraft... This game was a fun idea, which was overtaken by unchecked ambition, and driven by a lead designer who can't plan his way out of a paper bag. Second, why would anyone want to sit around as 'crew' for hours upon hours of game play. The pilot, yes. The gunner, maybe? But I don't understand the appeal in paying for a game, only to be a peon in someone else gameplay.
Much respect, XenoThreat by far is one of the best events I had to take part of in SC but you def don't need to steal a whole capital ship to take it down 🤣 Great video. 😁
Star citizen Year 2950+ Small fighter jet max speed: 250m/s F22 Raptor from year 2005, max speed: 660m/s I call this game bullcrap since MM became a thing. 3.24 will take 1h of waiting to load a Freelancer max .. GL with C2 or HullC. Max speed in Vacuum and zero gravity is nonsense as well. New HUD is disgusting, so much visual noise with no option of opacity setting. Not even talking about current state of the game, Yes we dont have 30k anymore, but servers are crashing like every 20min Peak experience
Is anyone surprised that the very first thing mentioned is the typical "Game isn't working right. It's bugged. It's nowhere near a finished game." I bought this garbage "game" (glorified storefront) 12 years ago. Stop giving these developers your money and your time. Such scum bags.

Constantly looking over your shoulder anytime your doing something in this game is annoying.. The time it takes to get there and the bug that cause you to fail after spending all that time is annoying and not even fun.
I wanna know what the communities reaction was to seeing the idris appear than suddenly start firing against its once allies changing the tide of the event
Dang that looks like so much fun. I was only able to board the Idris once and came super close to taking the ship (the video is on my channel), but these are the benefits of being part of a big org. Good overall video and content. You always have quality commentary and footage.
imagine they implement ship storage on clan capital ships so you can store your ride when they actually come out for normal use in a century or so. Being able to spawn your own private ship in from storage when everything goes to hell, and if it gets destroyed you gotta go get it back the normal way. If ya ain't got a ship in storage they could have a limited number of little one person defense bombers you can spawn to sally out and attack the enemy en mass, and they might even add in the ability to purchase more bombers so you can do battle longer, but they would be insanely expensive. They would have to do some stuff to make it not broken, like only a few ships in storage, but it definitely sounds cool. Imagine your other guild bros find out your being attacked and you see a friendly capital ship and a bunch of auxiliaries pop in from warp and start throwing beams at the badguys.....
