Thank you for the video for putting things into a proper perspective, and especially thank you for brining us content creators together to tolerate our differences but unite in the same frontline to do our best to help to make this game better and better so when we get older, we can just simple enjoy a well polished game without all the endless struggles of bugs and workarounds..... Much appreciated for the shotout and support! o7
It is a feature, it is literally described how you can insure your ship, cargo, components, items, upgrades, etc on the RSI website in the definition on how they want insurance to work. This just was apparently an unintended design.
I told YT a long time ago to not show me SM channel at all. Simply because I do not like his online persona. That is great he is a nice guy in person, but if 99.99% of my exposure to him makes me feel angry / negative, or any of those feelings, I will pass on watching that. Cpt FoxyLoxy is one I watch a lot. I find his videos helpful and entertaining. I agree with you on keeping drama far away, I have far fewer friends these days than I did 15-20 years ago, mostly because I distanced myself from them. Sure, some of them probably don't talk to me because they don't like me, but I really couldn't care less. Getting old sucks, except the part where you realize you don't have to put up with BS if you don't want to :). Thx for the video
Let the haters hate. Bug testing is bug testing, even if its exploiting. Often you can't test a game bug without fully exploring its limits. This isn't 1.0.
The one thing that I 100% agree with SaltEMike is... It's an Alpha, nothing matters. I am much more aggravated about my Starlancer _full of ore_ that I stored at Lorville NOT being stored properly and losing a whole shipment and having to reclaim my ship than I am about random people duping railguns or their subscriber gear.
Foxy is the best and the devs will get around to fixing things as they make the game. Thank you to Foxy for going over and above when it comes to testing this game.
Man, i used to program and run private servers, forums, websites, you name it The work was a phenomenal time sink Now i kick back and watch everyone else and i am highly entertained SC is a blast with the right mindset Yes, when you spend $70 USD on an armor set and blow through it in under a day and can't reclaim like is possible for a $40 ship, that's a problem, and one that is long overdue for a remedy This has been my debate context for a long while
AMEN BRUTHA I M 55 backer since 2018. I agree it’s time to take this job and shove it. Just wanna fly my spaceships, explore gameplay too much IRL drama the deal with CIG BS anymore
I bought into this game thinking I would have a great game to play with my son. Now I set here hoping to be able to play it with my grandson but convinced I should be hoping I will still be alive to be able to play it with my great grandson!
Foxy rocks! His unbridled positivity and excitement when doing things is why he is my new favorite SC content creator. His zeal reminds me of why I backed in 2014. On the other hand, I stopped watching SM about a year ago. I know being "salty" is his brand but I have enough negativity in my life so I have ZERO interesting in literally subscribing to it.
Thanks for your input Hawkes. This issue attracted far too much hate. People are entitled to their opinion but when it gets nasty, that's not cool. Any creators who raise awareness of bugs, exploits or whatever, is ultimately helping make the game better, as long as CIG is listening.
Great video! The few days we had insurance (or whatever you want to call it) I was able to actually use some of my paid gear, some of which had been in storage since 2013. It was one of the best times I've ever had in the game. So yeah, my wallet will not be buying any more gear until they finally give us a way to use it without losing it, as they have long promised. The paid item replacement kiosks were supposed to be put in for 3.23.x after all, and since we are in an alpha, who cares if the first implementation is imperfect.
They have communicated about it kinda in a spectrum post saying to report it to IC. They usually just delete posts and things that relate to that unless its IC to stop people from exploiting further.
I think you’re out of touch Hawkes. Maybe you don’t realize but for every 100 drama maggots that come here to make you feel bad for no reason, there are 10,000 of us normal people who don’t really care, who know star citizen is still an early alpha and just come here for entertainment. ignore it, just do what you wanna do, if you enjoy it, we enjoy it.
After many years of playing SC, both solo and with SC friends, I reached my limit, both friends dropping out of the game, and also doing solo. Have not played since 3.23.1. But watching You, Cap Foxy and Camural, to follow progress is what I do now, because I feel you guys still find the energy that I and many others have lost for playing this pre alpha tech demo. Would love at some point if SC became a real game at som point, and not just a eye candy fluff marketing tech demo, but for now I rather have fun in my game playing time, playing other games, and watch you guys that still have the energy to test, sorry to say mess of a tech demo. Keep doing what you are doing and fuck haters on both sides! Greetings from a worn-down Star Citizen.
Since this iteration charged money most *honestly* believed it was "as intended". After all the talk about insurance in recent months, it felt right. Capt FoxyLoxy simply tests the hell out of and reports on anything he can. He is that eager and positive even when being hated on. Can't see such a character strength as a flaw. CIG themselves are not "mean" to fix bugs. However it does say a lot that this was fixed fast enough to break other things (like repairs deleting custom reward components), faster by far than the totally borked global chat, or anything else. The *passion* both sides leapt at this issue with shows how important fps gear insurance of some kind is to the players. And has been. For years. It would even increase their sales on the site. Gear you can get back? *That* is *important* to the Backers. *That* is why the reaction. Why it isn't priority number one for CIG blows my mind. It would solve *so* much of the frustration people have for all the *other* bugs.
This was the first iteration of any bug I have ever seen in star citizen that looked more like a non balanced feature than an actual bug. I have never seen anything like it before in my entire life and I have seen a lot of bugs in my time.
In the current PTU (4.0.1) it appears the duping bug has been resolved. We will have to see how long that lasts. Please keep up the bug testing and fight. I agree about Sub Gear, I wish that the armor and weapons, for now, would just be changed to a skin so that you could use in game items and change the look. Maybe when crafting arrives they will turn it all into blue prints. I am just shy of 55 years old and had a massive heart attack in Nov, so I feel your pain about game drama and putting the most valuable thing we have into this project... our time. Not sure I will live to see 1.0 myself and even if I do, I doubt that will ever get to fly my Orion and Merchantman. I personally will keep bug testing and try to squeeze out some fun, and I hope everyone can do the same.
The funniest thing was in the dupe king video . how he died falling of a despawning 890j in "natural and authentic" gameplay Just showing how insane it is to use your most valuable or bought gear without any insurance...come on cig, waiting for replacement kiosks since ages
Ahh yes. The replacement kiosks. The kiosks for sub gear replacement. The kiosksespecially created to allow you to replace lost subscriber gear. The ones that were supposed to be in 3.23 at launch.
Bug and exploit hunters during development phase are absolutely vital to truly polished mmo-ish game. Problem with Star Citizen is how long this 'development' and testing has been going on, which caused people to settle in mentality that this is the live service. Does not help people spent hundreds to thousands of USD on this game and can't get good value out of it due server and game performance paired with others 'spoiling' their fun. On Foxy's topic - I feel he should absolutely continue what he's doing, with this developer it seems that megaphone reporting is the only way to get it resolved in timely fashion.
As I'm watching this, SC is downloading in the background. 4.0 sounds like it might be a real step forward towards a stable game, and the alpha may have reached a state I can tolerate. Thank you to you, and the other brave souls doing the testing.
Foxy is my go to guy, aside from you. People over React, people say things, foxy has a thick skin and understands. Negative comments is par for the course im afraid, it's the internet. Also i hope you're ok Hawk
Salte is a mixed bag for me, I don't finish watching about 70% of his content. Unsubbed once when he said in a react video like one min in that the guys opinion/info was F'ing stupid, lol. The guy was giving a parallel to the construction business planning development or whatever to SC development. Not even a huge fan of the guy he was reacting to, just didn't think it was fair.
SM is a whiney, sanctimonious, know it all whereas Foxyloxy is a direct, good-hearted, show-it-all..... Watch any five of SM's videos then compare any five of Foxyloxy's and anyone can see for themselves. I only hope Cpt_Foxyloxy will continue doing what he does.... The project needs more like him, as many as we can get. 👍🍻 And I wouldn't mind if whiney Mike went somewhere quiet for a while to consider whether or not his "contributions" are as accurate or important as he thinks they are.
Man, I couldn't agree more. Subscriber gear just sits in my Inventory because I hate losing it and having to wait till the next wipe to get it back. Also, what happens when there aren't any more wipes? Does it just stay gone forever and has just been pissed away or just displayed in our bases when that becomes a thing. CIG jumped at the chance to fix this small little bug but takes their time fixing bug that make the game unplayable.
I've been backing since 2016, got my Evo invite in 2018. I hope the best for SC. It could be a great game. However, ... (speaking of bugs) when you can't exit your bed or HAB, that is absolutely demoralizing and unacceptable after 10+ years. CIG needs to acknowledge that some bugs are older than our kids 😂
Real talk, I played less 4.0 than 3.18. Why? Because it's just not that fun anymore. For me SC today feels more like a 2nd job than recreation, that i want to do in my spare time. BTW: Foxy you did a good job with the videos, hope you can keep the spark of joy up to test/try stuff.
The only time anyone is going to get any kind of negativity from me is drama for drama's sake. Keep up the great work and the great videos. Foxy is another one of my regulars and will always get a kind comment from me.
WELL SAID THAT MAN...!!! Back up the community - we need the professional focus on CIG & Chris to deliver to a time line - not smack around the communicators that are holding them to account. LYW Mate.
I find that there's a distinct difference between bug testing and finding a way to "exploit" the game and the guys who see a bug and exploit and use that as a means to upload a "get rich quick" kind of bullshit. Foxy is doing the right thing. I hope he continues to do the right thing. He's a guy documenting in-game fuckery. It's not his fault that people watch this stuff and go, "Hey, let's take advantage of this." Because if its a bug or an exploit, it's kind of implied you yourself shouldn't replicate it. The people who did take advantage clearly failed the shopping cart test.
If you want to be treated seriously do not do a job for free. QA is notoriously treated bad in the software industry, CIG is no different. They don't even value their in house QA why would they value you? Seriously check out their glassdoor, but it is an industry problem. Just play the game, have fun, if you hit a bug report it as a courtesy. Doing actual QA on your own time is not productive, you don't have the needed inside knowledge to do it in an impactful way. I have been in IT and software since the 90s, just trying to let you know how it is.
We will all be dead by the time 1.0 drops. Glad you are still alive man. You were my inspiration for doing Elite videos. The love and hate is real for streamers! And I have been subbed to foxy since he had 100 subs! Good guy.
I think everyone can agree that the community deserves an ISC or SCL on the future of (and roadmap to getting) proper item insurance. Hopefully Jared is all over this.
Your videos is what helped me become addicted to space games, i never would have gotten as far as i did in elite and dangerous without you. Haha. I actually can't believe how much content Foxy is pumping out, I hope he keeps up the good work!
and 1st off Foxy did not brake 4.Slow even throw he put 3 videos about duping in a 24 hr time the game is and always bin bugged What FoxeyLoxy did was let the cat out the Bag and tolled the world and all his followers including me .. yes, i still love the videos .. he put out but he showed a lot of people how to do the duping thing and opened a can or worms and forced Cig to make yet another bad choice .. now I've always bin a pension to speak my mind and to tell it like I see it but the videos he put out about this should have been in back a pay wall for him and close friends and let CIG know what's happening but that's me everyone is deferent he got his response about what CIG thinks about it hell we all suffering from it losing ship parts that were got legit having all my factory ship parts in my storage removed leaving my ships empty with no parts and can't fly until i repair them .. but its over now Lets move on and Maby they might fix something wort fixing next time around before a new ship drops for sale And for some reason i think CIG is milking the crap out everyone. and yet but life goes on
the pledged item recovery CIG said they will be stopping you from just duplicating the item if a player has the item. only if its lost to the void. this was briefly spoken on my john crew? i think in the IAE talk show clips i think.
Ya. Foxy is awesome, I actually respect how he can film and come up with content in a hard game to play consistently. Also, his last few videos about weapon insurance was... kind of tainted by people saying he is "duping". He said it a lot as well. But either way, If you are playing SC. ANYTHING GOES! Enjoy it before CIG changes things and then changes them back, and back and forth. $1500 into pledges. I bought my right to complain.
I hear what you're saying. The thing is, CIG are the ones who need to know about these willful bugs, not necessarily the players. There's little reason to go publishing grand posts or videos for the public showing them in detail how to duplicate these things; this is an alpha build so our leisurely enjoyment of the game takes a back seat. Make an issue council entry for it and that's all that's needed....but we all know the real reason why the details get published: You can't ignore the sheer fact that folks often rush to put out these videos/posts about bugs for views and brownie points; their intentions are not 100% altruistic.
I still remember seeing MandaloreGaming's video on Star Citizen, and I just found everything going on with the inner cult stuff being so over the top, it was hard to accept it as reality. Since joining, either that all died down, or is more vocal in other circles. But one thing that did always irk me was how the game feels like it gets both improved and damaged with each update. A thing breaking on one update, but patched later, is understandable, but it often feels like even new features that get added don't even get proper attention. Subscriber items, and just store bought items in general, feel ironically second class to everything else, and my mind is often blown with how there isn't some kind of recovery service. Like, if people are gold selling in your game... maybe make more money sinks to drain that away that are reasonable? Hell, put it on a timer cooldown or something (I mean, account resets already do that).
When looking at videos about SC, I instantly go past the ones that show themselves talking. I consider it a form of egomania, and superfuous. If you are going to narrate, then remain unseen. Doing good will always get you villified but is its own reward, and if it annoys a cheater, what an added bonus! If that is your job and it is paying the bills, then rejoice! It could be worse.
The whole "Insurance Fraud" issue... Is the intent that we're supposed to be permitted to harvest parts off wrecks and use on our own ships? If so.. There is not a technical method to differentiate between people just pulling out their ships and claim duping items. You can't at a technical level identify who's doing it on purpose vs someone actually finding a wreck and harvesting parts. If we're not supposed to be permitted to harvest parts, then just remove the ability.
If it weren't for the players writing the reports, providing the videos and examples of these bugs Star Citizen would be how much further behind, or even more of a buggier existence than it is now if that's possible. I have no answers when it comes to Star Citizen, I can just hope it's fun when it is released with the wider gameplay experience and fewer bug instances. I got tired a few years ago to spending an hour or so getting the controls sorted out and then not making much progress due to losing an hour or more of gameplay to something stupid. I have no idea what happens if you crash in to the sides of the warp tunnel linking Pyro and Stanton systems and I hope it's not too severe as that's going to make the game experience miserable.
SalteMike does not contribute positively to the Star Citizen community or the game. Your contributions to the game surpass anything Mike will ever achieve, as he is solely motivated by TH-cam revenue. Thank you for all that you have contributed to the Star Citizen community and the game Hawk. Your efforts have made you a true leader in both the community and Star Citizen.
Foxy isnt the one I hate. All he did was point out something which was extreamly simple, and allowed for an "insurance" claim on items. Which allowed for something which much of the community has been asking for for some time. The ability to reclaim our subscriber/event gear. The one in mad at is Salty. Not because he had an opinion, or even that he wanted it fixed. But because he used his influence, to get a 'fix' rushed in resulting in additional issues. This 'fix' was priortized over game breaking bugs which litterly make the game unplayable, and was pushed directly to live servers. What I hate is when someone uses their influence to get what they want done, without considering the opinions of others. So, ya mike gets my anger. This is the same distain I have for other influencers who do this such as A1. This 'bug' is at best a polish bug, and since it has no long term effects due to expected wipes before release. It isn't as important as the pass out when healing or drinking bug, the quantum going in random directions bug, cargo missions not spawning with enough cargo to finish the mission, mission markers missing, uncompletable missions, etc... All those bugs affect gameplay far more. And should have recieved priority over this relatively minor bug. While the "this is alpha" excuse works for excusing those, it is invalidated when polish bugs are prioritized over critical/progress blocking bugs. And for refrence, foxy is just reporting on the state of the game, salty is trying to make changes to it. Ill let you guess where my line is and why I drew it there.
Agreed! What’s the point of subscriber gear if we can’t use it? Foxy is my go to. Where is he? He was super helpful and incredibly dedicated. A true hero in the verse. Can’t stand SM
we should be doing bug testing only after every major patch or big feature, not at every damn hotfix, most of the bug are coming back after every patch
And that's *why* it needs testing. Every hotfix, every patch. So that old bugs we all thought fixed don't pop up later. So that the coders don't believe something is fixed, write new code using that fix, and then new features that rely on it, only to find all that effort wasted many patches later, wasting their time, and making the finished game *that* much further away. Bug testing is a never ending task.
Almost all bugs have a source that mutates into something slightly different with each major update. Im not even kidding some of them are 4th even 5th generation. Stuff that has been fixed and refixed over and over.
@@corwyncorey3703 We tested multiple patch cycles for them after being asked in the PTU. So yes CIG does have an interest in finding any backdoors if possible. You are right though it is a never ending cycle that hopefully can finally be killed with the 1.0 patch.
Normally I find Foxy is above the board. And I understand, we all slip up from time to time. However, keeping the cards hidden is still important. The motivation of the of the masses of player's who intent is to either disrupt the development of the game, or for greedy self gain hurts and threatens the viability and the reputation of the project. So keeping those masses from going wild with these issues is important. Finding these holes is so important, and protecting the project is equally important. Think balance.
Add up every SC player's time who deliberately tried to bug hunt, along with the time it took them to report the bugs, multiply that by the average salary for a game tester in their respective locations. I have a sneaking suspicion that if you took that number and added it to the pledge amount listed on the SC site, you'd have over 1 billion dollars. That's a lot of free labor that CIG has enjoyed. Now the ultimate question is: Has CIG capitalized in increased development speed as a result of this free labor, or have they largely squandered it?
Solutions come from finding compromises. Compromises come from listening to what both parties really want rather than arguing about conflicting proposals. Saltemike wants to walk around in unique items that demonstrate the completion of a difficult mission. Like world of warcraft raid armor sets. He has said this more than once, I have been watching his videos for years. So his real objection is that ANYONE can look like they completed the epic mission/raid. On the other side are people who want to use their gun racks, etc. If items do not persist, then there is dissensentive to use guns racks, and suit lockers, when they are implemented. So rather than picking a side and digging in, seek a way that addresses the real (not surface) concerns of each side. I am not a game developer, BUT I have over 20 years experience in business application programming and can assure you that adding a multiplier is very easy to do. Compromise solution. Add a multiplier to the insurance value. This gives the game designer a variable to adjust for balance. Common items that can be found anywhere would have a multiplier of 1.2 (for example). This means that you're paying a convenience fee of 20% to restock regular items. But items like maze could have a ridiculously high replacement cost multiplier, or this might be a little harder to code, but adding a parameter flag that prohibits insurance of certain items. Subscriber items would need to have a base value assigned (they currently have zero value), and about 3x multiplier. This solution addresses the core concerns of each side. It gives the developers a tool for balance. It also solves some other issues, but keeping this post as short as possible.
LMAO.. we are the same.. Same age, same game, same situation.. I just told a co-worker who I got into SC (20 years my age) the same thing about being 'alive on release' :D
Cpt foxyloxy is much loved for his positivity and passion. Hope he sees this video. Subscriber gear should definitely be a priority for cig. Right after stability and play ability fixes. Bug Citizen continues to move backward faster than it moves forwarded.
Sub gear non retrieval will lead to legal trouble, mostly in the EU. Its already started in the US (Texas AG is investigating TOS violations). I know about Texas bc im the one that submitted the info to get the case opened. Its been 7+ yrs of kicking the can down the road. Figure in $30 a month for 7yrs and tell me that not fraud at some point.
Take a look at this idea from 2023 in Spectrum > Game Ideas: "Item Recovery: Insurance claim, stolen item detection, crime stat, and bounty" Let me know what you think. I still think it could be a good approach.
21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2
its the bobs and schills that just talk smack i mean look at spectrum
99% of the time I lose my ship to the game doing something it should not. Vs taking advantage of the insurance. I can't even explain why I like this game so much, usually I would have given up on a game with this many problems.
I always queue up elite dangerous before switching over to star citizen because I know that at least I can feel like I got something done, when star citizen crashes out or just doesn’t freaking work😂😂
YES! This is what I have been saying. It’s alpha, you need to break the game now so it won’t break in the future. Stop treating this like a released game. It’s all valuable data.
Ok as a long time player of Star citizen this "restocking of weapons" as CIG has called it even as late as this past Citcon. this is a feature they want to bring in the game so that we can recover our subscriber gear, or that perfect P4 you put together, the problem lies deeper than that, there was something going on that we did not know, something was getting dupped that was game breaking, that was generating a lot of UAECs, and to be honest for somebody who claims to be a super bug hunter and you cant read between the lines on this one kind of make me question things, you can still dupe ship weapons with out issue, you can still dupe system with out issue these are not game breaking things, and more than likely a very low priority since CIG reinstated the ability to do this as a "fix" for the sudden removal of the weapon doping . now lets say some body found a way to dupe the super rare mined ore in Pyro using that system that would raise some big red flags and cause what you see and sudden stop to something. just food for thought from old school gamer... and long live the Foxy
There is no progression in this game until it's released there will be several more wipes but I can't blame people for wanting to think or feel like our gameplay matters right now it just doesn't.
51. I started SC late but figured I needed to get off the wall and get my hands dirty once I decided that there isn’t an age for this. When I explained to my wife that I was trying to fall through the floor . . . Thank god for the gender pay gap.
The whole thing with SM is two fold. He has done the same cheese in the past to get specific items and his gameplay loop is mostly selling railguns/rare guns. So a little hypocritical on him.
Its a bit alarming finding out how many people fly ships around absolutely smashed out drunk. Thank you all the same for drinking and flying at home in a video game and not in real life:)
I am coming from the same point and views. As for subscriber gear, CIG loses money as I refuse to get any and subscribing get no love or money from me as its pointless in my view. Best hopes for your casual efforts in the game and have fun.
Don’t wanna be that guy but foxy is a tester, not a rigorous bug tester. He just gathers info on weapons on detection ranges or otherwise he just posts gameplay
You are both right and wrong. Yes if you put FPS weapons on a rack in your ship and you have to reclaim those weapons should be insured. But what you MIGHT NOT KNOW was happening? People farming rare SHIP WEAPONS from thier ship, storing those and repairing their ship to make dozens and dozens of rare ship weapons to then give to thier firends. I even heard mission assets were being copied like keycards. That is the crux of what is wrong with duping. Bascially any MMO where you can make dozens of COPIES of a rare or expensive item to hand out like candy or even to sell to other is wrong and an exploit. But we definately should be able to insure FPS weapons on our ships. And you should "for a price" be able to reclaim your ship with the upgraded weapons. Not sure how they are going to rebalance this now.
I remember last patch I had all my subscriber gear it was my first time playing after years. I got in my ship and the system glitched and blew up before I could relocate. I lost everything. So after that I just leave subscriber gear alone and just play without it.
It was sad to see you go to CIG and stop making ED content. I literally watched all of your ED content back in a day. They were that good! I'm glad you are realizing that CIG is a long time scam.
CIG have squandered the full potential of community help for far too long, and the longer the project drags on in such a poor state, the more people are going to stop caring to help, especially so considering how theyve allowed the extremeism and toxicity to grow so bad in places like Spectrum, encouraged it even. The most they ever seem to care about engaging is when marketing want money.
Ever taken a shit where it stops halfway? you take a big breath, struggle and double down trying to squeeze it out. Only to have it break off with the other half still inside you and be left red faced, gasping for air and back to square one. That's s.c development....
Foxyloxy wasn't calling them bugs, he was calling them features and trying to act like it was a quality of life add. That's why he was getting hate...don't be daft and act like he was getting hate for simply testing
I love this game. But why is it that every time a bug that benefits the citizens, it's gone within a few hours or days. But bugs that don't benefit citizens can take months... Weird!
Much appreciated for the shotout and support! o7
Thank's for Your hard work Capitain.
Anyone that posts over 700 videos with less than 20k subs is most definitely creating content from the heart.
17k is a lot in the SC community
Truth. Foxy has a ton of love for the game and the community. I'd like to see this come back as a feature with the insurance cost.
I understand that this. I think he has valid criticism of the game but just the way it's presented is annoying a lot of the time.
I mean. Mike has the most balanced perspective of any creator. He calls out the bad, he calls out the good. That's it.
Let the haters hate. Bug testing is bug testing, even if its exploiting. Often you can't test a game bug without fully exploring its limits. This isn't 1.0.
Problem is they brought on a game ending critical bug as the "exploit fix" with zero testing
So now at 4.0 the game simply crashes less.
Sodium Michael still calling people dumb and stupid? Yeah, some things will never change. smh
Foxy is the best and the devs will get around to fixing things as they make the game. Thank you to Foxy for going over and above when it comes to testing this game.
Do you guys even watch his content? He doesnt even test for bugs, he just tests random shit like detection ranges on ship, different load outs etc
@El1qt I didn't say he tests for bugs. I said he tests the game. Do you even read?
Man, i used to program and run private servers, forums, websites, you name it
The work was a phenomenal time sink
Now i kick back and watch everyone else and i am highly entertained
SC is a blast with the right mindset
Yes, when you spend $70 USD on an armor set and blow through it in under a day and can't reclaim like is possible for a $40 ship, that's a problem, and one that is long overdue for a remedy
This has been my debate context for a long while
AMEN BRUTHA I M 55 backer since 2018. I agree it’s time to take this job and shove it. Just wanna fly my spaceships, explore gameplay too much IRL drama the deal with CIG BS anymore

Thank you. You expressed far more clearly how I feel than my own post.
No one would be arguing if it was a bug or feature if CIG would just definitively state weather it is a feature or an exploit. JUST COMMUNICATE IT !
“…still an early alpha…” Always will be. 🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
Nice! 55 here... I'm afraid I'll be over 60 by the time this game is in beta. Great Vid. gave Foxy a subscribe.
Everyone breathe and count backwards from ten, lol. Good stuff, Hawkes.
The funniest thing was in the dupe king video . how he died falling of a despawning 890j in "natural and authentic" gameplay
Just showing how insane it is to use your most valuable or bought gear without any insurance...come on cig, waiting for replacement kiosks since ages
Yeah that purple ship bug is crazy. It doesn't play nice with gravity boots. Lol!
As a avid player the only consistent with SC is pain and suffering with brief moments of bliss when it all works right for bit a moment.
And I wouldn't mind if whiney Mike went somewhere quiet for a while to consider whether or not his "contributions" are as accurate or important as he thinks they are.
I don’t even use my subscriber gear because of the fact I will lose it to a bug
LYW Mate.
i feel ya im 63 years old and hoping im still at it when 1.0 drops but it does not look good . but this is life
cathedrals used to take 200 years to build. I'm not expecting to be alive when 1.0 comes out but at least I helped get it there.
You and Foxy are doing important work. SC is better for both of your efforts
Thank you for your time and effort, I have put in a lot of reports in since well before 3.18, yes it is time consuming but it is necessary.
We will all be dead by the time 1.0 drops. Glad you are still alive man. You were my inspiration for doing Elite videos. The love and hate is real for streamers! And I have been subbed to foxy since he had 100 subs! Good guy.
This video calling for CIG publicity to fix this damn issue is worth the subscribe... Thank You. Maybe they will listen finally.
TEAM FOXY!
Cpt_FoxyLoxy is one of the GOATs , you're up there too esp from my ED days :)
i lost my Buddy/ORG leader last year, he loved this game so dayum much. He didnt even get to see his 890j paints, but he was playing every damn day.
Lol I am 59 and I really related to your opening comments.. great video.
True, Foxy goes through the patch notes one by one and test it out.
we should be doing bug testing only after every major patch or big feature, not at every damn hotfix, most of the bug are coming back after every patch
I just want CIG to treat game breaking bugs with the same ferocity that they show "exploits".
Thank you for testing. i know a lot of gamers cant see beyond their keyboard and/or are not the brightest bulb.
LMAO.. we are the same..
I still think it could be a good approach.
its the bobs and schills that just talk smack i mean look at spectrum
-[Deleted by Nighrider-CIG]-
Thank you for all your work in bug testing!
99% of the time I lose my ship to the game doing something it should not. Vs taking advantage of the insurance. I can't even explain why I like this game so much, usually I would have given up on a game with this many problems.
Hey Hawkes, 54 here.... I'm always thinking the same thing about SC. Will I ever get to enjoy a FULL RELEASE???
I always queue up elite dangerous before switching over to star citizen because I know that at least I can feel like I got something done, when star citizen crashes out or just doesn’t freaking work😂😂
YES! This is what I have been saying. It’s alpha, you need to break the game now so it won’t break in the future. Stop treating this like a released game. It’s all valuable data.
Love your videos Captain, I just saw the foxyloxy video and sub, I will check his videos out they are well made.
Ok as a long time player of Star citizen this "restocking of weapons" as CIG has called it even as late as this past Citcon. this is a feature they want to bring in the game so that we can recover our subscriber gear, or that perfect P4 you put together, the problem lies deeper than that, there was something going on that we did not know, something was getting dupped that was game breaking, that was generating a lot of UAECs, and to be honest for somebody who claims to be a super bug hunter and you cant read between the lines on this one kind of make me question things, you can still dupe ship weapons with out issue, you can still dupe system with out issue these are not game breaking things, and more than likely a very low priority since CIG reinstated the ability to do this as a "fix" for the sudden removal of the weapon doping . now lets say some body found a way to dupe the super rare mined ore in Pyro using that system that would raise some big red flags and cause what you see and sudden stop to something. just food for thought from old school gamer... and long live the Foxy
drink up every drop of tears of people hating on you. people are horrible for the most part.
They do need to work on the different levels of insurance they covered this last citcon.
They didn’t even patch the comp board duplication and yet they worried about the gun and ship weapon. Yikes
Its a bit alarming finding out how many people fly ships around absolutely smashed out drunk. Thank you all the same for drinking and flying at home in a video game and not in real life:)
Foxy loves the game. Tell us what are bugs and what are features CIG
52? Will you be around for SQ42 release?
Enjoy your time man. I wouldn't waste another ounce of energy and time.
Those devs gotta fix their spaghetti code. Its starting to taste bad
if they really cared about QoL they would bring back the magic local inventories access.
The haters are just jealous that they didn't find it before you did
I'm 53 and feel 100% the same as you
thank you Mr. Hawkes! ❣
100% agree and we arent old yet!
all of this is extremely amusing.
I love this game. But why is it that every time a bug that benefits the citizens, it's gone within a few hours or days. But bugs that don't benefit citizens can take months... Weird!
