I made these tonight & we all enjoyed them. I'm going to use them to make ice cream sandwiches during the summer. I think they'll be a perfect pairing with ice cream.
Hello I’m shon and I love your recipes especially your red velvet cake but I had a question about these banana cookies . I just can’t get them right for some reason they’re still coming out too cake like what am I doing wrong
I made this yesterday and it was really good and tasty. I was worried it would be cakey and that I would barely taste the bananas but the banana flavor shined through. It was just the perfect banana flavor that matched with the chocolate chips and the walnuts I put in. I really recommend this recipe. Since banana is a delicate ingredient I’d suggest actually measuring your banana and making sure everything is exact for the best results. It’s amazing how it tastes just like banana bread but in a soft cookie form. Thank you so much for this recipe.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed them so much! I put a lot of effort into perfecting these recipes so it's nice to hear when they are appreciated. :)
Oh my goodness! Just tried my first one out of the oven. Warm banana bread with chocolate chip is how it tastes. So soft and delicious. One of my new favorites. Thanks for sharing, I love trying new recipes
I just wanted to stop by and give credit where credit is due this cookie recipe is my children favorite this is my second time making it. You are my number one to go to for baking keep up the good work❤❤❤
I tried this...I didn't have butter so i used avocado oil, didn't have corn starch either. I used oat flour instead of white and coconut sugar instead of regular sugar. Came out great. Thank you for your recipe and tips.❣
I made these and your chocolate snickerdoodles today. Both are delicious and my husband agrees! I make and freeze lots of your cookies so we can enjoy a sugar spun run cookie every day in our lunches😊

I made some yesterday and oh my god they were AMAZING! I added some leftover ice cream into the dough and it still turned out great (a little cake like if anyone wants to try that). This is my new go to cookie recipe. 💖
I enjoyed watching this short video the..it was one of the first times making cookies and actually have them come out great..although for me the texture was that more of banana nut bread just because I didn't add chocolate chip but the measurements and timing were perfect one of the best videos

Hi, Sam ! We had a bunch of over ripe bananas and were looking for something other than banana muffins and found your channel through a search on google. My Mom and I are both now looking, with a combination of awe and absolute love, through your videos and trying to decide what to make next !!! Your videos are so informative and warm... it's like spending time with a good friend who happens to be an insanely talented baker and teacher. I just wanted to thank you so very much for sweetening our day. We are so excited to go through your videos... we're going to have a bit of a marathon, I think... and look forward to all your upcoming videos. Years ago in the mid1980's, there used to be a bakery called The Cookie Factory in Midtown Manhattan, NYC that sold large banana walnut cookies. They were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business. I have been searching the internet to find a recipe for banana walnut cookies that taste like the ones from the Cookie Factory. Hopefully, yours taste similar to the ones that the Cookie Factory sold.
@@SugarSpunRun I will try your recipe one of these days. I'm on a diet right now so I can't try it this month. As soon as I try your recipe, I will let you know if it is similar to the ones I used to buy from the Cookie Factory in Midtown Manhattan in the mid 1980's. Btw, how large are your cookies? Just curious. The ones from the Cookie Factory were around 3 inches in diameter.
Looks amazing! A chewy cookie is always the best! Meltss butter always accomplishes this! Question, instead of chocolate chips, do you think doubling the nuts would work just fine? A combo of walnuts and pecans or all walnuts? I have some family that are not huge chocolate chip fans. Caramel bits too would be great instead.
O it varies from recipe to recipe. Some I can nail right away, others take quite a while. I have a pumpkin roll I’ve been trying to perfect and make better than the version on the can and I think I’ve tried that one 30 times with no luck

O it varies from recipe to recipe. Some I can nail right away, others take quite a while. I have a pumpkin roll I’ve been trying to perfect and make better than the version on the can and I think I’ve tried that one 30 times with no luck
@@SugarSpunRun is the roll cracking or sticky or soggy??.
Can I replace the butter for coconut oil?
Ingredients
1.5 bananas
1 cup melted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tsps vanilla extract
3 cups flower
2 tbls of cornstarch
1/2 tspn of baking powder
1/2 tspn of baking soda
3/4 tspn of salt
3/4 tspn of ground cinnamon
The ingredients are always listed in the description :)
Why is the corn starch needed? What happens if I don't use it?
The cornstarch helps make the cookies a bit softer. You can substitute flour for the corn starch if you don't have any on hand. :)
How many cookies are made by This same measurement ?
About 33 cookies. 😊

Would a raisin and granola mixture work too?
It really depends how you plan to add it but it could work.
I just popped these in the oven! I already know they're gonna be irresistible 😅😅3 minutes left..i don't know if they'll make it to cooling rack😂
🤣 I know exactly how that goes! :)
Peanut butter chips instead of chocolate sounds good

I’m only at around 1500 feet so unfortunately I don’t have many suggestions for high altitude baking. 😔
Is it possible to save some dough in the fridge to bake another day?
I'm not sure how the dough would hold up being refrigerated more than 24 hours.
😢
