I believe, that the Sheikah,Yiga, and Zonai are all the same race just different factions that came from the original Sheikah tribe that split up due to differing opinions and strategies for their roles as protectors of the goddess , which is why we see sheikah artifacts and Zonai artifacts intertwined

    • @TriforceTrends

Funnily enough, you can match the three clans almost perfectly to the pieces of the Triforce.
Perhaps the Ancient Sheikah worshipped the pieces of the Triforce, and what they stood for. Except they fractured, groups forming behind each of the three parts.
The 'Sheikah' as we know them worshipped wisdom. Over time, they became incredibly technologically advanced, always in search of more.
The Yiga worshipped Power. A combative people, with seemingly every member having access to magic powers. It's also notable that they're the only group who are actively supporting and aiding the return of the Calamity.
Which means the Zonai, whoever they were as a people, worshipped courage. Perhaps this is a sign that a complete lack of self-preservation and overeager willingness to jump in front of any warm-blooded creature and take a Guardian Laser to the face is, in fact,, not usually a trait given to the most prosperous or long-lived of civilizations. Sparta comes to mind.

Hey HG, I've had a theory for a while that entirely breaking the Master Sword might break the curse of Demise. Seeing as he's sealed inside the sword, at least his spirit is, I feel like that makes his curse continue, and that breaking the sword might, in fact, break the curse. Or maybe it'll just free Demise, we'll see in the future.
Saying this before watching the video, will change if brought up in it
Edit: They talk about it during the video, at the end

    • @gamemporium6055
      @gamemporium6055 ปีที่แล้ว +7

@@HyruleGamer Here is my theory, though a bit sporadic.
So after thinking about how they were about to "announce" the title for the game when the castle lifted from the ground to the air and how the master sword is literally broken, with fi still in it, I got to thinking what the title might be. I want to record what I think the title is, because I'll be doggoned, if it doesn't fit.
Think about skyword sword. What were the 2 spirits that is in the sword? Demise and Fi. If Fi is still in the sword in the trailer, Demise is out of the sword, correct? That's what broke the "spirit of the sword."
So my idea for the title of the game is now presented: The Rise of Demise
      Continuing:
I keep coming to the conclusion how it all fits together and ties together. This of course, is pure speculation.
First, in one trailer, we see link getting eaten by the malice, running up his arm. We also see the sword being eaten by the malice. What if the malice is releasing Demise. Hence why we see "gannon's spirit "rise up". You know the one with link and ganon in the same trailer? But at the same time, what if links "spirit" is also "released", thus creating 2 versions of link. "a link to the past, and a link to the present". Demise would be in the past (in the sky) and Gannon (on the ground or in the present)
So now hear me out. In another trailer, where we see the water rising upward. What if, link, when traveling upwards to the sky, and overlooks Hyrule, what if that's the past? When he's in the sky, he has his old raggedy clothes on. When he's on the ground, he's normal. So when he shoots up into the sky, he's going into the past, thus merging with his other spirit, that he's taking over. We can kind of see this when he does time manipulation with the spike ball bouncing backwards. We also see this with the water drop going backwards. Honestly, I am almost certain, that's how we are traveling in time. The sky is the "past" and the ground is the present. When I think about it, it ties all 3 trailers together. Now of course, I could be waaay off base, but to me, it just makes the most sense.

@@gamemporium6055 I totally agree that the sky islands are in the past! With Link's green toga & his loose hair, he is the epitome of the image of the Hero during the calamity 10,000yrs ago. During the trailer when we see mummy Ganon wake up and Zelda fall, perhaps the goddesses send Link back through time to before Demise infiltrated Ganon's* body, and he has to reforge the sword / reawaken Fi to defeat the physical body of Ganon before returning to the future to destroy Demise once & for all. The question is, where would the triforce of power go 🤔 otherwise it would break the world..

My timeline theory is similar to Arlo’s theory. Here’s my theory:
I want to start with the Google definition of the word Legend: “An unverified story handed down from earlier times, especially one popularly believed to be historical.”
I think we are thinking too much into which branch BOTW belongs to. My theory is that BOTW is a soft reboot of the entire series, and that the events of all 3 timelines may or may not have actually taken place at all. But you may ask…what about the references from different timelines??
BOTW apparently happens so far down at the end of all 3 timelines, maybe 50,000 or over 100,000 years after Skyward Sword. My interpretation is that all of the events and games between skyward sword and BOTW are unverified stories, just tales passed down from grandparents to the next generation and so on. Those Legend of Zelda games are literally just legends in BOTW. Whether they were real events or not, it doesn’t matter at this point. We don’t need to make sense of the references from different timelines because in BOTW, all of those references are LEGENDS in their world. Imagine playing the telephone game where you have to tell a story but instead of passing the message down right away, you have to wait til you have grandchildren, then you pass this information to them. Details will undoubtedly change, story elements will change, locations might change. In a lore viewpoint, this soft reboot works perfectly because they don’t have to explain things like, why Hylia statues were not present in any game between Skyward sword and BOTW. With this theory, this makes skyward sword and BOTW the only “real” events that took place in the Legend of Zelda universe.
TLDR: BOTW is a soft reboot. Every game between skyward sword and BOTW are legends and tales passed down from one generation to the next.

It's possible that OOT's Link was buried in the Kokiri Forest, which is why his armor looks like it's been through wear and tear. It has vines growing in it and looks damaged. Maybe he was buried in something like a wooden coffin in the forest, and when the coffin decayed it left him exposed to the elements.
Which is probably exactly what he would have preferred. He grew up in the woods, so he probably would have wanted to become one with the woods, even manifesting as a forest animal, a wolf.
In real life, when new species evolve, it's not that one species literally becomes another. The new species splits off from the one they originated from, and then they either diverge or the old species goes extinct. That being said, obviously the Zelda games don't have to reference real life when talking about the evolutionary history of the Zora and Rito. Maybe the Gods simply took the Zora that survived the Flood and changed their shapes to be better suited to life outside of water. However, in BOTW, the existence of both the Rito and Zora at the same time could be explained by the Rito having branched off from the Zora, and over time diverged to become a different species.

Hey, loved the video! One detail, though, on the Hero's Shade. I don't think he ever got a real, proper send-off as the Hero of Time, due to the fact that Ganon never rose to power and needed vanquishing in his timeline. This is why his spirit lingers, and he wants to pass on his knowledge to his descendant. He is wearing armor because he died a knight of Hyrule, and was given a proper burial, but sadly no one ever knew how he saved Hyrule. Or Termina, for that matter.
Other heroes, who were known for their deeds and exploits could have definitely had very elaborate funeral ceremonies, though, and I would not be surprised!

LOVE THIS VIDEO! Only 1 issue, The Hero's Shade. He was not known or renowned for stopping Gannon in that timeliness. He went back in time before any of that happened, back to him and Zelda's first meeting. He became a common Hylian knight to seek some of the renown and honor he deserved but had lost by doing what's right. He did climb the ranks and be well known, but for THAT hero and timeline, he was a farmer with a wife and son (and possibly more heirs). But I am certain he was well decorated enough that he was honored in his passing. Possibly placed in a mosalim in full knight gear among other ranked knights. Or in a place in the lost woods.
Haha I apologize for my rambling, but my mind spiraled. And still is with so much more, but I have to stop or I'd go all day. Lol

I have the theory that we doomed the entire world in Orcarina of Time by letting Zelda send us back in time to have a childhood. Let me get to main point. If we have 3 timelines with Zelda, Link, Ganondorf and a Master Sword in each then that must mean we have a Demise for each one as well. If Breath of the Wild is indeed the timelines merging one of these options must happen then. First option is everything is merging together creating a super strong Demise who is able to destroy the Master Sword and claim Ganondorfs corpse thus completing his true resurrection. The other option is just as bad because the timelines still merge but not anything else so we end up with 3 Demises and 3 Ganondorfs. Either way at this point Demises hatred for Link has to gotten so intense and powerful that it has almost completely wiped out Hyrule with Calamity Ganon. I would imagine a merge at this point would not be impossible as Demise was technically there and knows about it in at least ONE timeline. That one Demise knowing he has probably failed in mutiple timelines I would say is the strongest because of his ever growing hatred. Even more so as a new Link in the Adult Timeline with no real connection to Demises curse has even bested his reincarnate. That hatred could very well be the end of everything and if the timelines merge it will be almost guaranteed.

These are all very cool ideas! I have a little theory of my own, not lore related, but still Zelda-themed. Assuming we get more animated movies after the Super Mario movie, what would you like in animated Legend of Zelda films? I'd like if they could have am original story like a mixture between the Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, Link's Awakening, Hyrule Warriors, and themes of the MCU's Spider-Man trilogy, with Link dealing with the pressure of expectations, loss and the desire for a normal life.

I hate to poke a hole in the return of Demise theory, but here goes.
The reason Demise was sealed away in the Master Sword to begin with, was so that his remaining essence and consciousness would eventually dissolve and fade away. It would take thousands of years for it to do so, and seeing as Fi and the sword were both placed and sealed in the distant past where Demise was, that would imply that he was already well on his way to being dissolved. Which means, by the time OoT Link and Ganondorf comes around, Demise as we knew him was gone; his hatred already reincarnated.

Ya know, now that I think about it, this couldn't have possibly been a thing. If everyone remembers correctly, the original master sword that contains demise is in another timeline completely. Remember how I think the master sword was returned when link was a kid and then I think in twilight princess you take the master sword again and never return it. So the master sword we see in botw and totk is the sword from wind waker, think about it. How it's not necessarily needed and how you can find salt from the ancient sea in wind waker and how the rito and bird folk are related to each other because of how they evolved in wind waker. It makes perfect sense now

I think the life and death of OOT’s hero is far more sad than you make out. Remember, the hero in OOT gets no recognition because he went back in time and prevented Ganondorf from ever ruling. In my imaging, he becomes a wanderer, moving around looking for mission and purpose. This is why he goes to Termina, and how he learns to be a better swordsman. In the end, he probably dies a quiet death, and he may even be bitter about the fact that he was essentially robbed of his glory. Or, because he has descendants, he may find love and have a family, a rich interior life.

I was playing through Majoras Mask again. This might already be a theory out there but I was thinking what if Majoras Mask is really just a weird dream and what really happens is Link while looking for Navi gets lost in the lost woods. He then turns into a Stalfos and the actual gameplay is happening in Links mind while turning into a Stalfos, essentially fighting to keep his humanity ultimately being victorious. Then he comes back as the Hero's shade in twilight princess with his conciousness intake.

I believe you’re correct in part at least. The Hero’s Shade is like 7 odd feet tall, wears golden, owl-like armour and there appears to have been inspiration from the Skull Knight, both from Berserk and Guardian Heroes…
The gold is from the Triforce of courage, armour goes with Link’s Shield in MM, which contains an owl crest(also indicates having been to Termina) and his overall design and shield looks almost Ikanian in nature which is either reminiscent of the Ikania being Termina’s Royal family, or perhaps when he was of age, he returned to Termina and assisted in fighting in their war as an Ikanian knight??? (Longshot… #puNintended)

I've been saying it since the first teaser for BoTW 2 that the corpse shown in the trailer is actually the sealed form of Demise (not Ganondorf), and the game will be about finally ending the curse after Demise returns. I never thought of the Master Sword breaking being the trigger for this, but hearing that last theory made me realise that given the way we see the corpse (Demise, and I'm sticking to it) 'react' to something and awaken suddenly. If the Master sword was to be broken, and Demise's spirit suddenly returned to his body, that would explain the sudden reaction we see in the trailer. The corpse in the trailer shows the same glowing red, demonic eyes that Demise has, as well as the long red hair (easy to think it's the flaming hair with the power drained from it), and with some kind of power flowing from it and the Sheikah technology being based on some kind of spiritual energy but shrouded in secrecy, it's not hard to believe that the Sheikah have been utilising what remains of Demise's power through that hand we see attached to his chest.
This, and all my past comments about the Demise returning and finally ending the curse may end up aging like fine milk, but I'll stick to it until the game releases and Nintendo proves me wrong. Unifying the timeline canonically after 10,000 years, once again forming an *actual* romantic connection between Link and Zelda, and having Zelda awakened with the most Goddess-like powers we've seen since the events of Skyward Sword all points towards the plan for the sequel to be finally ending the curse.
If Nintendo wants more games within the reincarnation cycle, then they have 10,000 years of history they can fill in, and if they want to start a new formula moving forward, then they can do that too.

I have 2 Theories about the Ferice Deitie Mask.
    1. This is Link the Hero of Time. This ment to be an alternate universe so what happened to their Hero? Maybe this mask is that heros spirit.
    2. This mask embodies all versions of the Hero of Time. This is called a "deity" because the goddesses of times power holds the thread together of all versions of this one Link. The combined experience and memories is why he becomes so strong.

Rumor and theory? I would still love to see a twist. That Ganon is the original hero in the tapestry fighting along side demise before Zelda and link... he fell to the original calamity, became infected by Denise hate, thus Goddess Hylia sacrificing her immortality to save him, seal him, until he can be cured. No garudo king had been born in how many thousands years? Roughly about the time depicted in the tapestry. And all this before has been his projected calamity leaking out

I think there's a certain .. poetic justice for all the various Links to have just... a paupers grave. a small plot out by a tree with a small headstone. "Hyrule's Hero" Witten on it. his actions are larger than life. he rises to the challenge again, and again. But even the one time his adventure was even partly self motivated (living a boring life on outset island and wanting adventure) it's always for the sake of others he goes. Link didn't want power. just the courage to do what must be done. i also fully believe he always settles down with a wife and kids. so he'd have a more personal passing.
also, im all down for Fi and Demise coming back. sounds like a great way to bring an epic ending. a closing of the cycle kinda thing.

About submission 2 - the Hero's Shade makes a very big point that he was never recognized as a Hero. As I recall, this is why he's so keen on passing on his skills? At the very least, he laments it. Unfortunate and unsatisfying as it is, OoT/Majora's Mask Link... was an unsung hero. He didn't receive recognition for the things he did in Hyrule and Termina. And that... actually makes sense - Zelda sent him back in time. Most of what he did never happened in the new timeline. Ganon being stopped woulda gone on without many fireworks. And as for Termina... well, people over there probably know him, he helped a LOT of people on a personal basis. But... hrm.

4:44 They actually don't have had to find a way to get out (I think), the Zonai are said to have mysteriously vanished long ago. Just like the interlopers 😱 (though we have an explanation for them vanishing of course)
The Zonai ruins might be old enough to have been around at the time of the interlopers. I assume the ancient Hylian ruins are from the era following Skyward Sword, but I can't remember if the Zonai ruins were stated to be older or newer than those. But we also don't know exactly when the interloper war was. The mirror being found in botw could also potentially hint that they came back like you said though.

It would be extremely sad, and would completely undo the work of all of the heroes of all of the games prior to BOTW. When the two timelines (the Skyward Sword timeline and the single timeline with all of the previous games) merged at the end of Skyward Sword, Demise’s power was finally drained from the Master Sword. The curse was broken, Demise was finally destroyed. That was evident when Link somehow had the Master Sword in BOTW long before Ganon’s return (and Gannondorf’s resurrection). It seems that Calamity ( whatever that is ) is now fueling Ganon’s power instead of Demise. Fortunately, Fi survived as she still was able to speak to Zelda.

  • @retroidmania742

Going off of the final theory in the video. What if, when Demise and Fi are released from the master sword, Demise’s curse is lifted from this specific Ganondorf? Because Demise would then technically be fulfilling that end of the curse/prophecy. And as a sort of retribution for the curse on his bloodline, Ganondorf helps the hero and Princess finally put an end to Demise. And subsequently ending the curse put on his bloodline?

Damn, last submission really gave me the chills.
I mean, the music does it's job since skyward sword was my first zelda so it has a special place in my heart (and whenever someone talks about it I get shivers),but thinking about the end of the franchise really made time stop for some seconds (also the sentences with effect kimda gave epic vibes).
Zelda has accompanied me (and us) for a really long time;it also is the reason I chose 3d graphics in uni and why I chose to basically create videogames in the future as a job,so this type of topic hits the mark.
However who wouldn't want to see friends Gerudo king Ganondorf and see Fi again (even though she was just as annoying as Navi).
Anyways,I honestly don't think this is neither the end nor the start of something, plus Nintendo doesn't really bring back characters or solve the mysteries they created (I still wanna know where did Navi go..),so,in the end, even though they did make cameos or gave a hint about some things about past games,I don't think Fi and Demise will be brought back.
Fantastic video tho, keep going both of you👍

As far as if a magician made the rods, Twin Rova were witches that used their brooms as instruments and there were other magic uses in the past. But it does seems too convenient that every one of these foes acquired a magical rod. It would made more sense if it was just created by the foe themselves or (just throwing it out there) Wizzrobes ARE corrupted magicans that are driven made by their magic and aligned with the calamity.

  • @Damariobros
    @Damariobros ปีที่แล้ว

I always thought that Demise's curse, combined with the wish to eradicate Demise made by the first incarnation of Link, is responsible for the entirety of the Zelda series after Skyward Sword.
Because Demise set a curse that would reincarnate him time and time again, Demise was not entirely destroyed, and therefore the wish remained unfulfilled. So the Triforce reincarnated Link and Zelda every time Ganondorf or Ganon came back, and even in between incarnations, the Triforce may have influenced events as part of a long-game to fulfill the first hero's wish. And in order to fulfill the wish, the curse has to be broken.
The time split and re-convergence can be explained as such: in between each of the last games in each timeline and the Calamity 10,000 years before BotW, there is an unimaginable amount of time that has passed. During that time, the Triforce has influenced events in Hyrule such that no matter the outcome of OoT, it eventually all lead to the same events: the calamity and BotW. That would be an effective merge of the timeline. This is because there is only ONE way that the curse of Demise is going to be broken, and the split of the timeline, the different possible outcomes of OoT, complicates things. It HAS to happen this way.
In BotW 2, I wonder if the curse of Demise is finally going to be broken, and end the cycle of Ganon and Ganondorf being reincarnated.
Hyrule Gamer, what do you think of this?

  • @lianaverwood9810
    @lianaverwood9810 ปีที่แล้ว

While we don't see any sort of burial site for the past Heroes, there is _one_ place in the Hyrule in BotW that could serve as a Commemoration to the Previous Champions - *The Forgotten Temple.*
Full of Sheikah Guardians, the Forgotten Temple is like a heavily-guarded tomb, and at the End of this Gauntlet of Lasers is a Sheikah Shrine and _the largest Goddess Statue in the game._ If that were all, it'd be not much for all the effort you gave getting there...
If you come here after completing all of the Sheikah Shrines in the base game, there will be Chests containing the Clothes worn by each of the previous Heroes - all the way back to Skyward Sword in Chronology!
_This_ is how I believe the people paid Tribute to the Champions of Hyrule back then - rather than a Burial Site, they built an entire Temple Monument dedicated to the Goddess' chosen Heroes, watched over by a Goddess Statue that could qualify as a Monument _itself..._
Also, the existence of the Mirror of Twilight in the game gives further evidence to the common assumption that the Gannondorf in BotW is the one seen in Twilight Princess...

  • @stuffz1757
    @stuffz1757 ปีที่แล้ว

The Forgotten Temple could easily be that potential Hero's tomb. Creating a Champion states it's a place to honor past heroes, and it seems to have been built around or after Skyward Sword due to shared architecture.

Is magic a corrupting force or was it where they sourced their power?

I only have 1 problem with this theroy, Demise isn't just sealed within the sword, HE'S DEAD. since Fi confirms that Demise was physically destroyed and Impa confirmed that his remains were being destroyed by the Master Sword over time, by the time of BotW2 there would be nothing left of Demise himself. Ganondorf is literally the closest we will ever get to Demise returning due to the reincarnation cycle.
