What a wonderful blog I found today! Thank you so much for your help. I’m 73 & have recipes form my grandmother, mother in law, cousins n aunts I cherish. My children & grandchildren are all great cooks. But they always request foods from family that have passed. It’s a joy for me to remember special moments with them as I duplicate their recipes. Kids asked that I put a family book together for them. Have been hassling with how to do since thanksgiving. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. Getting started today organizing n collecting all recipes in one space in room I can leave out to work on at my leisure. Sure it will take me months. Lots older than u n many more recipes!!! Lolololololol just love collecting them. Tanks again, happy cookin😘

+His And Her Money Oh goodness! It is from years ago. I realized pretty quickly that I do not like to write so I stripped it down to bare bones and use it just for this type of purpose. It is pretty embarrassing, but it will do for now! lol Thank you!!!

It really is time consuming but so worth it. I am going to be working on one for my sister that has some copies of my great-grandma's, grandma's and mom's recipes as well as some new favorites from me. Thanks again for sharing yours!

My grandmother died this last fall. I got one of her bibles and she didn't put any notes in it. My other grandmother did hand write a note in a bible she gave me. And when I was putting recipes in my app, I realized I still wanted a physical cookbook too. And the important of a handwritten note. So even though I have horrible penmanship and bad spelling, I still think future generations would still want have something I had written like recipes. I did when my grandmother passed away. So I'm going to do a combo of both typed and handwritten.
Okay, Jaime...one last question, well a 2 part: What thickness did you use? About how many sheets with protector pages were you able to fit into each binder? I am TOTALLY loving this idea...I just pulled all my recipes and books out and I have a stack of cookbooks to donate and a bunch of recipes ready for the binders...it is going to be so awesome having all my recipes together!!!
Yay! It does feel good. I used just regular copy paper for my recipes and cardstock for the contents pages. Right now I have 55 page protectors full in my dinner recipe binder and there is still room for more. :) I hope that answers your questions!
+Bored or Bananas Sorry, I fibbed...I have another question! Do you have the printables in a file format? When I click on it, it comes up as an image and when I try to save or copy it...it is distorted. I am definitely not savvy when it comes to this stuff. I am going to ask one of my kids to help me figure it out but I thought that I would ask if you had them in a file before I start diving deeper into this. :)

I don’t like my handwriting either but if you like this for the idea of handing it down to your children I encourage you to write anyway. Your children will appreciate seeing it greatly later on.

rebeca S I scooted my tabs in sononly about 1/4 of an inch pokes past the plastic sleeve. Hopefully that helps.
